We stayed here shortly after we got engaged and we had a wonderful time. We only stayed one night but I emailed ahead and they arranged champagne, a card and rose petals for when we arrived (for a reasonable charge). The room itself was lovely and the bathroom superb. Each room has a mini fridge stick with drinks (inc. beers)...

Perfectly located right in the centre of everything you need in Cape Town. One can walk anywhere from here, we took a comfortable stroll to the waterfront. Every room is unique, cosy but we'll thought out. The star attraction is the lovely rooftop pool bar and lounge to enjoy any time of the day and night. A selection of eateries...

I have recently got back from spending a wonderful week at The Grey Hotel. I stayed here with my friend as we spent both our birthdays here. The hotel only has 10 rooms so it's pretty small, but I can't praise this hotel enough. The rooms : medium sized, small Bathroom, very modern and clean. There's a safe in the...

This hotel was a great find and upon arrival we were pleased with the location and the look and comfort of the room, small room but comfortable and nicely decorated. The beds are quite comfortable. Soon after we realized how REALLY noisy it was in room 6. We were right underneath the roof top bar which had loud music until...

We stayed here during our visit to Cape Town. Its ok but not a luxury boutique hotel that it might claim. Its a small compact building over a few floors. Rooms appear clean but very small and basic amenities. They do offer you one free mini bar which is a nice touch but no offer to refill the entire week....

Didn't stay at the hotel but ate at the restaurant. My suggestion is simply dont go. So called fusion cuisine completely wannabe and confused. Very expensive. Very noisy. Not at all enjoyable. Cape Town has amazing restaurants this is deffinately not one of them. Friends staying at the hotel said it was trendy but unbelievably noisy and if you want...

This property is more like a few rooms sandwiched between night clubs and bars. I would not call it a 'hotel'. If you are looking for a good night's sleep avoid it. Booking the hotel directly with staff was a nightmare and service during the stay was nothing short of totally unprofessional.

location is very good, next to cafés, bars, restaurants etc. Very nice atmosphere in this neighbourhood, De Waterkant, wouldnt stay anywhere else in Cape Town. But the rooms are really small, you can hardly open your suitcase in there, there are also no sunbeds on the rooftop to chill at the tiny pool which is there. Rooms also quite noisy;...

We (couple) spent two full weeks on our first stay in Cape Town at The Grey – and honestly: it was the best match we could imagine! Super friendly people (thanks Roderick for your swabian skills, funny morning-talks and your courteous, open-hearted behaviour), comfy and chic rooms (we stayed in room 3) and a fantastic area to stroll around and...
