My husband and I were planning a Panama canal cruise to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Due to COVID-19 it was cancelled. We then booked a Hawaiian cruise. Also cancelled. Decided to find an all inclusive and spend a little more than we normally would. What a blessing to have chosen Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana!!!! The minute we arrived it was clear we made a good decision! The decor through out the resort was fabulous. The lobby, our suite, the bars and restaurants all were gorgeously decorated. Allot of thought was put into every detail. Every single thing I ate and drank was incredible. Our first visit to the Pier, the buffet, the desserts looked like art work. I thought there was no way they could taste good. Boy was I wrong!!! We were there ten days and tried every restaurant. I truly cannot pick a favorite! Pools, hot tubs and beach were beautiful and so much fun. Activities going on throughout the day. Shows in the evening we're very enjoyable, especially the Michel Jackson one. Now to the staff. Every single worker really seemed to enjoy their job. The way they spoiled me made me feel like a princess! One of my favorites was Elizabeth. She made sure our anniversary was recognized: Banner on our door, champagne, chocolate and strawberries and a gift. She checked on us every time she saw us and made sure there was nothing we needed. By the end of our trip she felt like family! Another favorite was Ransel, aka Aquaman! "Okay!". Enjoyed his aqua bike class. He was always trying to get everyone involved in activities. I was on his Olympic team. What a blast! Shout out to Atura, always made sure I had a drink,"with lots of alcohol", lol. This trip was worth every penny!! Really want to go back again!

Hotel's Favourite
What an amazing resort! For one it’s absolutely beautiful, well kept and safe. The food is excellent and drinks are excellent. It has an amazing gym and so many restaurant options. It has healthy options as well. This was hands down the best resort experience we have had. The staff is all so friendly and helpful! Team Shutters and Anthony and the gym staff were outstanding, mainly the spin instructor and yoga instructor.

I stayed here for a week in October and it could not have been more perfect. Concierge arranged transfer from PUJ via Transekeur and they were amazing. On arrival, we were brought to the club lounge for a super smooth checkin. Our room wasn't ready quite yet so they brought us to Shutters for lunch. Shutters is one of the best restaurants ever. At Shutters, we sat right next to the beach and looked out at the ocean while having some of the freshest seafood ever. Everything was incredible. I used a suite upgrade as a globalist and was given an ocean view jr suite. It was in building 4 and genuinely did have an outstanding view of the ocean and property. As great as that was, often times properties give globalists much larger rooms like a 1 br suite that I was hoping for. However, the room was great. The room itself is pretty well laid out. Tons of storage and huge balcony were amazing. Our butler was Norberto. He was outstanding. He would text me every day with the events for the day (but if you don't have a butler you can find them on tv.) If I needed anything, I'd text him and he'd more often than not be able to make it happen. If he couldn't he'd explain what steps I needed to take to get it done. He helped us get a case of drinking water, milk for in room coffee, sent lovely treats to the room probably daily, etc. My favorite Norberto moment was I had to run from the pool to my room for something and on my way back down I stopped at the snack bar to grab lunch to bring back with me to the pool. After I ordered, Norberto "caught" me doing my own work and insisted he'd take care of it for me. I went back to my wife and he brought our food when it was ready. From then on if we wanted some food poolside we would just text him our order and location and he'd go grab it on our behalf. Laying by the pool was my absolute favorite activity. I tried the club pool one day but found it lacked a breeze and felt too hot and quiet. The main pool was pretty empty so we mostly hung out there. Getting a chair any time of day was no problem. Servers by the pool were pretty good too! For restaurants: * Shutters lunch and dinner were amazing. The best seafood possibly ever. Breakfast there was pretty good if you like to sit and dine and had club level. * The snack bars by the pool were fine. Everyone wished they had chicken fingers though! Hopefully they can add that. * Navigator was good - but not our favorite meal. The lobster was a teeny bit chewy. Steak was excellent though. * Journeys was outstanding. I wish we went back as we went one night and couldn't finish everything. Butter chicken was out of this world amazing. The chef sang happy birthday to me. Freaking perfect. * Brandos was really good. Our waiter Jonathan was so sweet. I had the duck which was excellent, but not very memorable. * Moments was a great bar. Pretty poppin most nights. Karaoke night was my favorite. * One eyed cat bar was AMAZING. The drinks they served here were unbelievably tasty. I really enjoyed the bubble drink and the smoked old fashioned. But do try the rest of the menu. The piano player was amazing as well * Grog Grotto bar - do NOT sleep on the peanut colada. It was so good. * We had room service lunch one day when it was raining and even that was pretty solid. Fried were amazing. * Finally don't sleep on the buffets. They function more like a food hall in covid times and frankly, I hope they keep it this way. We had freaking tomahawk steak there one night. We did a couple's massage at the spa - hot stone for 80 minutes. It was the most relaxing thing ever! Globalists get a big discount on spa treatment and it paid of big. The staff could not have been more amazing. One thing I loved was that as a globalist when I would go to dinner, the staff would come over to make sure I had a reservation for dinner the next night so I would never have to wait. This was such a great perk. I really can't wait to come back. I had stayed at Zilara Rose Hall and, while that property is nice, had a bit of a bad management experience there. I was a little worried about that here but this property was perfect from start to finish. Truly a 5 star experience.

Absolutely stunning resort! My husband and I stayed at the resort for 7 days and could have easily stayed longer! From the first moment we were greeted to the second we left, the staff was tremendous with their service and care for us. The rooms were very spacious and beautiful to the eye. Extreme comfort with all of the amenities. The overall property, both Zilara and Ziva are simply immaculate. There are plenty of sun loungers and beds to help you relax while by the pool and amazing swings to relax on while enjoying a tasty treat from the café, Deja Brew (the banana bread was to die for)! The food and service at all of the restaurants, Brandos, Noodles & Thread, Journeys and Waves, as well as the daily buffets was exceptional. Room Service is above par, the cheeseburgers were always a 2am favorite! From waking up daily to a gorgeous view while enjoying a delicious cappuccino, to walking down to the pool while being warmly greeted by every staff member is the way to start your day! The pool bar staff were all incredible, all the drinks were very good, I loved the mudslide. Now to our favorites'- we cannot say enough about the entertainment staff! Amado you are amazing, thanks for going easy on me with ping pong and showing Jin how it's done, you were quite the match for him! Ronsel, Mr. Aqua Man, all the water classes daily, were so much fun thanks to you, okkaaayy!! Marcos, we cannot say enough volleyball with the team daily was #1! Not only were you amazing, you brought all of us together as a team- volleyball friends for life! Arturo, what can we say, you are such a GEM, archery and corn hole are my new favorite activities!! You have no idea how special you made us feel each and every day, EVEYONE loved you, thank you so much! To the entire entertainment crew, Amado, Arturo, Ronsel and Marcos- you guys made our vacation, we had so much fun every day, day and night, thanks to you! Hats off to the beautiful people you are and we will never, never forgot you, love you guys too much! We will be back just to have some more unforgettable times with you all. Yanette (from the towel stand), my darling you are truly a star, thank you for taking us under your wing on the first day and giving us a tour of both properties, thanks to you we were enjoying all the cool spots from day 1 and thank you, for checking in on us daily just to see how our day was going, we love you! Lastly, we were luckily enough to meet Pedro the General Manager of the hotel, he was very gracious, warm and friendly. He was happy to give us his time and honestly, it is no wonder that all of the staff here are so warm, as you can see it comes down all the way from the top. Pedro, my husband would like to thank you for arranging to screen the heavy weight boxing match between Fury Vs Wilder, the hospitality shown was phenomenal! We made many a friends with other tourists and it was a night we all will never forget, thanks to you! We have been lucky to stay at various other resorts but the Hyatt Chain is by far, world class! Having previously stayed at the Hyatt Zilara Cancun and Zilara Rosehall, while all were exceptional, this particular resort was by far our best experience yet and will definitely be on the repeat list for sure!
