It is our second time camping here! In December 2015 only for one night and Easter weekend of 2 nights. Love the view on the Limpopo river. We loved every moment of it! Will recommend it to anybody and can't wait for our next visit!
A friend recommended this place and we stayed one night on our way from South Africa to Tanzania. Its was magical. As we were driving into the road after we checked in a big leopard was drinking at the waterhole!!!! We arrived at the site and the bungalow was clean and comfy. The swimming pool was lovely and refreshing!!! We were the only ones there that night so it was peaceful. Had sundowners watching the sunset and it was amazing!!! Hot showers and the fan in the room was welcome. The fridge and freezer was very handy as we could freeze and keep supplies for our onward journey. Thank goodness we were told to bring our own supplies as there is nothing there. Everything else like cuttlery and pans and plates were plentiful. Would revisit and stay for a few days.
We loved going to Limpopo River Lodge after the first time, we now go there at least once a year. Limpopo River Lodge is right on the Limpopo River on the Botswana side and right in the Tuli Block (one of my favourite places in the world). Here you just relax, go for self drives around the farm, seeing the animals and plenty elephants if you are lucky, as we have been every time we have been there. You can choose to stay in one of the Rondawels or camp in the camping area, right on the river. We have always just stayed in the Rondawels and we have by now our preferred one. Each Rondawel has an outside kitchen, which has everything to make your life easy. The Rondawel itself is spacious and your bathroom (toilet and shower, with plenty hot water from the donkey), is open…
Lonely Planet led us to find this place. So glad it did. Seriously one of the best places we stayed. We rented a 4x4 camper and had 3 weeks in Botswana. This was the last place we stayed, and one of the best. Loved being able to self drive around the whole property. The campsites were immaculate, thanks to Isaac. Ablution blocks pristine, plenty of very hot water (again, thanks to Isaac) Alan the manager is totally enthusiastic about the wildlife. ask him about a civet!!!! Would love to go back. Maybe we'd see that leopard again.
We are independent traveller' s from Cape Town and this was our first nights' camping on a 5 week trip. Lovely clean sites overlooking the river kept pristine by 'Isaac'. Great private ablutions for each site with plenty of hot water. We spent 2 nights here and would definitely return.
