Our hosts, Lynn and Brian, treated the 5 of us like family. Great communication prior to our arrival, regarding game drives and other activities, all being organised ahead of time. Really comfortable 'tree top tents', in the Bush, with associated wildlife nighttime noises. Fantastic sleeps. Loved the small social gatherings at breakfast and dinner, meeting and chatting with the other local and intrmernational guests, together with Lynn and Brian. Food was excellent and plentiful. Great chef and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. We were very sad to leave after our 6 nights and 5 very full days. Would highly recommend it if you want to experience the real Bush atmosphere in a small, family group setting.

A special experience was staying at the Lion Tree Top Lodge in the Greater Kruger Park. At night you hear the lions roar, the hyenas call and the monkeys jump on the roof and terrace of your lodge. In the morning while you are under the outdoor shower you see the impalas and springboks pass by. During the day with a nice glass of wine by the pool you see the zebras drinking from the pond nearby. And close to the resort the giraffes walk. A very special experience to see all those animals pass by your lodge. In the evening we had a very nice meal around the cozy campfire in the boma together with the super sweet hosts Brian and Lynn. The lodges are beautiful and equipped with all the necessities, separated from each other by wooden paths that provide the necessary privacy. So the resort seemed all to yourself. No mass tourism here like with the accommodations in the Kruger Park. In short, a real African bush experience in this small-scale, cozy resort, which was a highlight of our road trip through South Africa, thanks in part to Brian and Lynn.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay. The host's of Lion tree top lodge and all the staff are so helpful and friendly. It is a real experience to stay here. Safaris were arranged for us and the evening meal was every night delicious. Sleeping in the lodge is really an adventure, all facilities are available! It is nice to sit a little outside Kruger because the area is peaceful. After all, you can be in Kruger within 30 minutes! I would definitely go back to this property. the monkeys were walking around the enclosure and the chance of seeing animals from your tent is enormous!

We stayed as a family of four, with children of 9 and 6.
We loved everything about Lion Tree Top Lodge. Lovely owners and staff, lovely setting in the bush - zebras and giraffes wandering around the camp. The tent was easily big enough for the four of us, with a lovely big bathroom and outdoor shower. The beds were extremely comfortable and come with an electric blanket for those cold Winter nights.
The kids managed a quick plunge in the pool and they loved the experience of sitting around the Boma in the evening
The owners arranged for us to go on a walk through the bush as well as a half day game drive to a nearbye big 5 reserve. Both were sadly lacking in animals for us but we spoke to other guests who had fantastic encounters on both trips - thats the luck of safari!
Wouldn't hesitate to return to LTTL or recommend to friends/family - it was a wonderful end to our safari adventure with brilliant hosts and a magical setting

Hi Paul. Thank you so much or choosing to stay at Lion Tree Top Lodge, and for the positive review.I t was an absolute delight to welcome you and your lovely family, and we can only hope that our paths will cross again sometime in the future. So sorry you were not that lucky with the game viewing, but as you said, there is no guarantees when it comes to safari. We trust you enjoyed the rest of your holiday and that you are now safely back home. Kind regards and best wishes , Brian & Lynn

The place is a paradise in the bush. You live in luxurious cabins in the trees, named after predators. We live in Lion. Our hosts Lynn and Bryan do everything to make us feel comfortable, not just at home. So we're somehow home. Their ranger/guide/manager Donald is a total David Attenborough, which actually also applies to the host Brian. Their knowledge of animals, nature and culture is fantastic to listen to and they are happy to share. It doesn’t take many hours before you realize that this place is unique and unique. For me, my wife and adult son the stay has had a character of a kind of family visit. Evenings with dinner by the fire, a Boma, is a chapter in itself. Sitting at single-person tables in a half-circle around the fireplace, together with the other guests of the Lodge, and hearing the buffalo grooms in the background or a hyena's coffin and guaranteed the whistle of the cycades, makes me forget everything about me. In those moments there am I, a handful of other fellow humans, the starry sky above us, the bush of its sounds and the wondrous tranquility of all Africa. As Arnold Schwarzenegger (and now me) says: "I'll be back".

The road to the lodge is possible with a normal car, very friendly staff upon arrival. We received a lot of nice tips about the activities around. The stay exceeded our expectations, it was great! The food was great and the room with the outdoor shower just wonderful. We can't say anything negative! Tip: definitely do the bush walk with Donald!

My husband and I were looking for somewhere to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Being in the bush in a luxurious tent absolutely delivered on this!! Nothing beats being able to hear the crickets and frogs at night whilst being snug in a comfortable bed!! Food was amazing and we felt thoroughly spoilt. Lynn's attention to detail to ensure we had the best stay with lots of activities is second to none and both Brian and Lynn were perfect hosts.

I would very much recommend this stay. Everything was very clean and the people are very friendly. The lodge was so beautiful.
We stayed for 2 nights and booked a game-drive and a bush walk with Donald. Both were great and different experiences to get to know the kruger park.
The chef was truly amazing and we enjoyed our diner with the other guests very much!

We did not stay at the Lodge - we went for a morning walk with 2 lions - so I don't know if they have a laundry service, but I'm sure they will have. The best way to find out is to email them and ask them

Sorry, I've only just seen your question. Yes, you can just book the walk which is what we did, We arranged the whole thing through Seasons in Africa so didn't have to worry about sorting out transport etc. If you are driving yourself you will be able to just book the walk. It's worth every penny in my opinion. Enjoy your SA trip!
