Welcome to the Bunk Inn, a traditional village pub full of charm and character situated just moments from Newbury Racecourse, minutes from Highclere Castle and just over an hour from London. Set in the beautiful village of Curridge, the 9 warm and stylish rooms are each equipped with flat-screen TVs, tea/coffee facilities, free Wi-Fi and en-suite bathrooms. Head Chef Lewis Spreadbury is earning rave reviews for his carefully crafted seasonal lunch and dinner menus offering traditional pub classics and more refined dining. A full breakfast menu is also available daily. A superb selection of real ales from nearby Upham Brewery are on offer alongside a fine choice of wines and champagnes. The pub itself is easily accessible from the M4 and is ever-popular with locals, holidaying couples and families, business travellers and, of course, race goers. Both Reading and Oxford are a short drive and the pub offers ample free on-site parking.

My wife and I stayed one night at the Bunk Inn on route to Wimborne. Situated 2 miles from the M4, we were welcomed by staff in the bar / check in area. We were shown to our room by a friendly staff member (who also served us at dinner and breakfast) - the room were excellent

Rooms are well decorated (if a bit dark). But not sound proof at all - I could hear EVERYTHING the person below did, watch he watched on the TV and the delightful snoring.... Mentioned to the manager and he did give me complementary breakfast which was appreciated. However I

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently putting together a plan to brighten the rooms up and bring a fresh look to the bunk. Part of this process includes us looking into improving the acoustics in the building. We suggest that if you are a particularly light sleeper that you request a first floor room, this helps avoid noise from above. We are pleased that you enjoyed your breakfast. We look forward to welcoming you back to the new look Bunk Inn in the near Future. Thank You, Zach Leach

So disappointed with where this place has gone; it used to be a fabulous eatery with a buzzing atmosphere. Moved out of the area 5 years ago and thought we’d return for a Xmas meal while in the area. Should have seen the warning signs when we turned up for our booking at

We are sad to hear your feedback about your experience in December. We strive to exceed all our guests expectations and we have clearly fallen short on our most recent visit. I would love to discuss your experience directly so that I can reassure you that this is not the norm at The Bunk. Please contact me directly either by phone 01635200400 or by email manager@thebunkinn.co.uk. Thank you for your feedback, Zach Leach

Yes they do allow dogs and make a small charge. Very Dog friendly in bar, lots of other well behaved dogs when we visited and biscuits on the bar for them. Just brilliant place and lovely stay.
