Poor experience from start to finish. Ignored, not taken care of, no hospitality, average rooms, subpar food, subpar beach time. No activities. Poor entertainment availability. Dirty floor in room. Dirty beach towels and chairs. Room view face another room and see the water from a far distance only. Not a private beach - private chair on property but stared at by beach dwellers who tried to sell me items while I tried to have peace and quiet on the resort. Security staring and not helping. No covid measures actually taken seriously here. 5 star luxury resort is a lie! This is more like 3 star average but price of 5 star.

Mimi Nimekasirika. Speaking English nor Swahili, employees do not listen. Hear me. Wewe haunisikilizi mimi. No sense of concern for me, my family, my time, my happiness. This is not good business. This is now how you make a resort for 5 star. Treated worse for not being mzungu. This place only cares about its Euro guest and Francois guest. Not Francois or Italian and you are treated like no one. Nicer rooms and more cleanliness in hotels on mainland and at Jambiani or Nungwi area. The rooms have view of other buildings, not the beach. No privacy at the beach. The swimming pool is ocean water and dirty. Unprofessional establishment from top to bottom. This place does not know anything about service or hospitality. The employees talk negatively about the guests in front of them in Swahili and express unhappiness working there. They sound like they do not get paid. I am so sad and angry by this experience. Wasted money to come here.

I saw all the influx of negative reviews but there were so many positive reviews that I choose to ignore it. The negative reviews were right. It feels the staff decided if you're worthy of their hospitality when you check in. We didn't make the cut. Food is just okay but plentiful. Its buffet with cook to order however, more then once I stand in front of a cook and I'm ignored. One even just walked away like okay? Is this not how it works? Salt water pool was a weird choice. Like there's an ocean if you want salt water..? There were a lot of whispers of an internal crime ring with the maids going through your stuff. We were lucky they liked us enough not to rob us. Win?

The ocean view suites have actually no sea view. The schedule for meals is extremely restricted. Food is not really impressive. The price is not worth it. I don´t like salty water pools It is located 1.5 hours from the airport and an hour distance from downtown. We had some troubles with the shower and hot water.

Look - normally I don't even waste my time writing negative reviews but this place should be a warning to many guests. I was completely shocked at the terrible service and treatment that not only I received, but my climber friends received this summer. Some of us went at the same time and others stayed after us as we did safari and zanzibar after climbing Kilimanjaro - what a way to end a trip by relaxing on the beach right? But no, bruh, this was not what I had in mind. I was met with a mix of either totally ignoring you apathy or rudeness from staff employees which I had not witnessed at all anywhere on the island of Zanzibar or Tanzania itself. I was thrown a loop for this. I have never had such treatment from average rated hotels in my entire life. The place was average at best - food was average, drinks barely had alcohol and all inclusive was slow service and you barely got your money worth. Rooms were large with great wifi but bad plumbing, no hot water, dirty sheets, and waited forever for ANY and all requests. Pool was crowded and closed early. Volleyball net and sitting on the beach lounge was the best part of the whole place but the beach itself isnt private and you are sold items nonstop. My female friends were seriously harassed. Housekeepers don't respect your sign to do not disturb when you try to nap in your room. AND SOMEONE ENTERED MY ROOM WITH A KEY (no keycards here just actual keys) AND STOLE MY ELECTRONICS!!!!!!!!! THEN - No one from the hotel front desk or security cared to help me or resolve this matter! Are you serious!!!!???? What kind of establishment does that to their paying guests!? This happened to three of my travel mates too - one had money stolen, one had her electronics stolen, one had various items missing! I am so disgusted! AVOID THIS PLACE! NO ONE CARES! Oh and if you care about covid - this place doesn't. No temp checks, staff Kinda wear masks but not properly, and no guests required to wear them in the dining areas or reception desk areas.
