From warm and courteous employees to pushy waitresses to bad-tempered and quickly disappearing trainees(?) - this applies to both the employees in the Orangery and the ladies in the spa area. On the first evening, the waitresses in the Orangery were very unfriendly and pushy, but the next evening the other shift made up for everything and was extremely courteous and professional!
The same thing in the spa area: first a very warm welcome with a short tour and explanation and after the shift change you think you've landed in a different hotel because the nice lady's colleagues can't even manage a simple "hello". Even the trainee(?) walked around with her mouth drooping, avoided any eye contact with the guests and disappeared very quickly from the scene when someone did come to the pool bar.
We booked half board per person per day, which on the first evening was billed at €50 instead of €45. Unfortunately, I only noticed this when I got home and got the bill.
When checking in and out, all the staff were always friendly and open, which is very important for the first impression.
I think it's great that this hotel treats all four-legged friends so lovingly! From small bulldogs to Labradoodles that are almost waist-high, everyone was treated very carefully and even got a cuddle from the staff. ❤️
We went there without a dog ourselves, but were surprised at how many people brought their dogs with them!
After this experience, we would travel there with a dog too!

I was leaving in early November at this small hotel where we had two nights, one of which was followed by dinner in the hotel’s buffet restaurant.
Initially it is a hotel in rural Mecklenburg. The hotel is surrounded by a lot of lovely nature, where there is room to go some long walks and enjoy the great waves that surround the hotel. If you are interested in playing golf, the hotel’s 18-hole golf course will definitely be of interest.
Our room was in one of the side buildings and was very well furnished with a private bathroom with both a shower and a bathtub. A bonus is that the beds are quite large and very comfortable to lie in.
The food is a chapter for itself, and it is only for the good side!
We ate all our meals at the hotel, where the first evening was in the buffet restaurant, and the second evening was in their gourmet restaurant Blücher. I can only say that cooking is something that is being taken seriously at that hotel. The food consists of fresh ingredients and everything, with the exception of the mandatory Nutella at breakfast buffet, was homemade. We were very excited.
As for the spa, the hotel is a disappointment. The spa consists of a cool pool and a lot of indoor sun loungers, where you can order various types of massage. The spa department reminds most of all of a "lounge" with pool. So if you want a real spa experience, you have to look somewhere else.
Conclusion:
Nice hotel for those who prioritize good, long walks in nature and good food.
We'll come back at least.

Unfortunately, very disappointing.
First the positive: The SPA is nice (quite small), water temperature appropriate; massages were very good. There should be something for everyone at breakfast and the evening meal was of good quality.
We were there in the off-season and the hotel was almost empty.
Now for the negative: The room cleaning was more than inadequate: the bed was not made (although we do make the bedding properly), fresh towels were carelessly thrown in the corner and the guest's used socks in front of them were really bad. It seemed as if the cleaning staff were under a lot of time pressure with maybe 11 couples in the whole hotel.... we couldn't understand that. We clearly communicated in advance that we wanted to see the function rooms and again when we arrived - then we were told that they could not be visited due to construction work (the terrace and winter garden were also not usable due to construction work). It's a real shame that differences are obviously made between guests when other guests were given such a tour 2 days later. The service ranged from good to poor quality - very variable depending on the employee. The crowning glory was our bill on the day of departure, which was too high at around €300. The receptionist was very unfriendly, we had to justify ourselves and when the hotel made the mistake, there was not even an apology... in our view, very typical of how guests are treated.
When golfing, we were only told after paying (regular price) that 2 holes were currently unplayable.
=> In summary, we got the impression that distinctions were being made between guests, which is a no-go for a hotel and especially in this hotel category. Unfortunately, price-performance ratio did not match at all. Cleanliness is a must, attentive service is a pleasure and both were neglected - this rating is a shame for the few dedicated employees, but that is how we experienced it. Of course, this is a subjective experience that makes no claims to accuracy or completeness.
!! We would like to explicitly exclude the Blüchers restaurant from this rating. Everything is just right there: fantastic food, excellent service and a great atmosphere!!

Unfortunately, there were no professional infusions. The infusion machine without any essential oil additives was unfortunately broken - it just dripped. Instead, water dripped from the ceiling in the Finnish sauna.
The fireplace was only activated when requested in the sauna area, and small lights remained off completely in the sauna area. Mosaic stones are crumbling from the outdoor shower onto the floor.
Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio is not right here. Next time, choose a hotel with a proper sauna plan and infusions - not just one sauna over 90°!

outrageous prices. I had to pay just under 10€ for a “large” black coffee, as it is billed as “large” with 2x coffee. However, this was not noted on the drinks menu, nor did the staff there kindly point it out to us (could have been done). In addition, the coffee was not “particularly good” either.
-I'm a passionate coffee drinker and gourmet. Basically I don't mind paying for a good coffee also corresponding money-
Worst massage my wife and I have ever had (and at the most expensive price). The massage costs 105€ EACH, which I had booked. Apart from the fact that my wife and I, despite capacities, could not be massaged zsm (whatever), this was massaged by a man, in a completely different location. At first, she didn't even use massage oil. Later came the flash of thought that you could use this one, but this one was cold. Very uncomfortable feeling. After booked “back program intensive” my wife even complained of back pain!
Further to mention:
Spa / fitness and wellness area definitely too small!

Schloss Hotel Fleesensee has an impressive backdrop. That's it, though.
The cleanliness of the rooms and general leaves much to be desired.
Service is effectively non-existent.
If you arrive after 21:30 no food, but no alternatives are offered.
Guests (group of 50 conference guests) will be ejected with drinks (beer price 0,5L = 7,40 Euro) before 0:00 of the bar - on two evenings!
Question about transfer to the station: "We don't do that"
If that justifies 5 stars then "Good night!"

We were allowed to spend a weekend with the whole family there. The food was really great and the staff very friendly, helpful and accommodating. We didn't use the golf course, but in great weather we explored the outdoor pool and the area. We also had a wheelchair user with us and could easily reach everything with him and the room was barrier-free. However, according to his feeling, the bed was too small. The place is definitely recommended and we will definitely come back.

The castle itself is undoubtedly beautiful and has a unique charm. The architecture and manicured gardens are impressive and invite you to take relaxing walks. The historical atmosphere of the castle is noticeable and gives the stay a special touch.
Rooms are spacious and stylishly furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable and the view from the window offered magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. Even the cleanliness left nothing to be desired. Room service was always friendly and accommodating.
The breakfast buffet offered a good selection of fresh and quality food. I particularly liked the opportunity to taste local specialties. The hotel's restaurant (Bühlers) also impressed with excellent dishes and attentive service. Despite these positive aspects, however, there are also some criticisms. The value for money is not quite right in my opinion. Prices are quite high compared to other properties in the category. All in all, Schloss Fleesensee is a beautiful hotel with many advantages. Those who are willing to dig deeper into their pockets and accept minor service problems will certainly have a pleasant stay here. However, I would have expected a better cost-benefit ratio for the price paid.

For a so-called 5-star hotel - although I don't know who awarded the stars (DEHOGA or myself?) - it was disappointing overall. The location is great, the facility is great, the rooms are spacious and practical, but not necessarily what you would expect from a 5-star hotel. With a few exceptions (see below), the staff are very friendly and helpful. There is criticism of the housekeeping: in five days of staying, no one noticed that the shower gel in the shower had run out and I cannot understand why the same cigarette butts were lying on the floor on the terrace of the "Orangerie" restaurant from the first to the last day. I also cannot understand why, right at the start of breakfast time, the caretaker/gardener has to constantly drive past the restaurant terrace on golf carts every morning.
I find the behavior of the bearded concierge, who I unintentionally met three times and who always asked me afterwards, "what's up with that, what does he want?", to be annoying. I found the situation particularly shocking when I wanted to ask at reception whether I could eat a little something in the "Orangerie" restaurant in the evening because I wasn't particularly hungry, or whether the only option was "all-you-can-eat" for a flat rate. At reception, this question was almost answered to my complete satisfaction, until the concierge who happened to be there intervened without being asked, told me something about sustainability/own farming, wanted to explain the difference between a la carte and buffet, but simply couldn't/wouldn't answer the actual question of whether I had to pay a flat rate. As I was leaving, I found his call after me "Is there anything else I can do for you" to be extremely condescending. At another encounter, as I was leaving the underground car park, he asked me, without being asked, whether everything was OK with the underground car park. My answer "a bit tight between the pillars, but otherwise everything's fine" led him to ask "What can we do for you?" I have no idea what all this talk is about, just blowing up the pillars? Sorry, I don't need to say that again. All in all, it was a pleasant stay in the hotel, the pitfalls are in the details when you claim to be a first-class hotel. Otherwise, everything was good.

Hi,
recommend you read our review of this establishment before going as we found many areas of substantial improvement.
The initial "wow" impression quickly fades.

John
