We arrived before 4 p.m. and were still able to check in. I would have actually liked a bit more information from reception. The apartment was really nice and clean. There is a small bag with cleaning utensils in the kitchen and there is also a vacuum cleaner and mop. Spices and the like are not available. The dinner was really delicious and selected drinks are included in the price (soft drinks, beer, wine). The breakfast was also great - I would have liked a children's buffet here, as in the evening. Kids' club and creative workshop (for a fee) were great. The playroom was really shabby and there were hardly any toys. The swimming pool is relatively small and we found it very clean. All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. We weren't there for the last time

Very nice family hotel. The children really enjoyed the childcare. We also liked the other activities. Fair prices for craft materials. Rooms were clean. The only downside for us: the restaurants close quite early, so we drank wine on the terrace.

Overall a fantastic hotel for kids.
We had a very nice and spacey apartment on two levels – there was everything you need in there. However we booked breakfast and dinner – fantastic value. Very nice buffets – especially for the kids with there own little buffet. Good food.
The hotel is very nice, and the kids program is fantastic. Very close by we did horse riding, a bike tour, visit a zoo…
Just the perfect place for a short break.

It's amazing how you can get a lot of money out of families with very little work - and still get good reviews. We accompany our grandchildren and their parents and are irritated by how completely normal amenities such as breakfast are charged at an extra charge of €22, when the room price is over €200 on New Year's Eve. The name Beechresort creates the expectation of extensive bathing fun. But there isn't even a bath towel in the tiny swimming pool, where only small children can have fun. Apart from the sauna, there is nothing for adults. All the restaurants are of the fast food standard from the system catering industry. You'd be better off going to Sylt, it's cheaper and nicer there.

The Dorf Hotel Fleesensee provides excellent accommodation in one or two bedroom fully equipped apartments grouped in a village style. It is a very friendly place and clearly very popular with German families The hotel has many facilities including playgrounds, a small zoo, a carousel, and extensive gardens. The dining room caters for family dining buffet style or for those who prefer it "a la carte". The surrounding lakes have many attractions and can easily be explored by bike from the hotel. My wife and I took our young grandson and we had a wonderful time. The information provided is in German, which we do not speak, but we were always able to find someone to help with any queries.

This is really a series of apartments connected in groups of 4 or 5 which in turn are grouped in "villages" around the beautiful Fleesensee countryside somewhere between Berlin and Hamburg. The type 6 apartment has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, bathroom, separate toilet and a terrace onto the lake. The breakfast buffet is rich, with scrambled eggs, omelette and pancakes on request, croissants, fruit milk and raw vegetables and fruits, all very nourishing. At lunchtime you can eat à la carte (medium price level), and in the evening there is a buffet restaurant, an à la carte restaurant and on the weekend a barbecue buffet in the boat shed (fixed price). The sauna, which is not very big, costs extra, but has steam room, foot baths, outdoor sauna, and pool. The concept of a village hotel for families is very good, the focus on sustainability exemplary. There are many attractions outside for children from the land and water playground, in the "Piratendorf or Pirates Village" to the cable car adventure and the zoo for petting as well as a small carousel. We had a boat trip on the Fleesensee Lake, which can lead to temptation to excessive drinking! The spa is a bit overpriced in the main season compared to other places on the Baltic Sea but, overall, we enjoyed the stay, everything is well organised and, especially for children, it is a pleasure to roam free through such a large car-free area.

We moved to Berlin, Germany last year and so booked a vacation for a week just an hour and a half north of Berlin where friends had said we should visit. With very little knoweldge of the area i did a little research and almost immediately settled on making reservations at Dorfhotel Fleesensee...and i tell you, it was a great decision! The hotel is really a series of apartments connected in groups of 4 or 5 which in turn are grouped in "villages" around the property (we stayed next ot the kids playground in "Piratendorf" Pirates Village" - see pics below, playground is German style and consists of a water source, sand, climbing and all cool stuff kids want to do not just swings and a slide). The whole week was an absoulte delight, the facilites available at or near the hotel for the kids were great - from go cart rental (most kids get these as the property offers vast space for the kids to run free since cars are not allowed on the premises), kids club with daily activities (including a "youth club" for my kids' age group that had a 9m climbing wall with climbing each day at 1:30 with an instructor), soccer playground, a huge pool/water slide option included thanks to cooperation with Spaworld next door (separate business but free to Dorfhotel guests) to masses of walking/biking paths through countryside settings down to Fleesensee Lake. Equal to the facilties are the staff - everyone was helpful no matter what the topic or the request (we are all learning German but whenever we got stuck the staff were able to help out either woth english or with a mini German lesson as they patiently helped us get there in Deutsch). The dining facilities offer "half board" so we opted for breakfast and evening dinner each day - this worked well and the food offerings were spectacular as each evening meal is themed differently (on a 2 week rotation i think). There is also an option to select dinner at the "Bootshus" on Friday and Saturday evenings (smaller setting right on a pond where you can sit out on the deck for dinner - this is ideal to break up multiple days in the buffet restaurant. I think we were a little disorganised and did not confirm which meal sitting each day but the staff were super flexible and rearranged for us (even making sure we got to sit with some friends on the last day that we made during the week). We had one issue with the blackout blinds not covering the kids bedroom window (sun up is around 4:15am so this needed fixing)...fixed by the next day so kids slept in past sun up! I really can't say enough good stuff about this place - can't wait to book again for another holiday soon, it is just great value for waht you get there...

Not far from the big cities in Northern Germany this place is an excellent getaway for a family.
Outdoor activities, spa and nature, combined with a few good dining experiences.
We had an apartment which allowed dogs. Had two dogs with us, and although 4 grownups and two dogs the space was enough :)

It was our second vacation in Fleesensee this year. All of our 3 children (14,12 and 9 years) wanted to go there again. The whole area of Dorfhotel is car-free, so the children are safe when they drive their rented Go-Karts (there are a lots of Go-Karts on the way and its really funny).
We had a spacious Appartement with everthing you need especially in the kitchen. Because we came by train and therefore had no car to drive to the supermarkets in Waren (in Göhren-Lebbin you can buy only a limited choice of food) we had Breakfast and Dinner in the Hotel. The buffets are very attractive, the dinner-buffet varies each day.
Our sons loved the Youth Club "Pier 88".

Since a few years i travel to the dorfhotel with my daughter and friends that also have children. It is always a nice long weekend.. The perfect waterworld Fleesensee Spa is for free and just two minutes walking from the Dorfhotel.
In the hotel itself they have quite a few activitys for children especially up to 9 years of age.
Honest and fair product for a time out.
The food improved and is now very good, service is friendly and everything is a bit more easy than in "normal" hotels.

Either Berlin Tegel or Rostock. For a cheaper fare you can also look at Berlin Schönefeld. Either way you will have between 1-2 hours transfer time...but it is worth the trip!
