I was traveling alone, a couple of years ago to be honest, and this place still holds a special place in my heart. Although we did not speak very much of the same language, the hosts were still MORE than accommodating and extremely helpful. Maso Coler is nestled in the alps in a very remote location and is a trek to get there, but well worth the entire journey! Access to hiking trails and wildlife is all around!! The local Malga just up the hill is also filled with the warmest and extremely kind people. They were most generous as is just a lovely family run business. The food is also delicious!!! Thank you to everyone who made my 3 night stay so memorable!!

This is the second time my (new) wife and I have visited Maso Coler. The first was 3 years ago in the summer. This time we were lucky to experience A LOT of snow which made the whole area look so beautiful! The cabin itself is absolutely stunning, the attention to detail is remarkable. The entire area surrounding Maso Coler is a beautiful mix of forests, streams, waterfalls, mountains and wide open planes. It really is a magical place. All of this is made extra special by the warm and loving feeling that is found in this family run lodge. No review can do this place enough justice, it really is the nicest place my wife and I have had the pleasure of visiting!

We stayed three nights in this maso in order to visit Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio this week. Everything is just perfect! The location is the starting point for several hiking routes. The room is super clean, and the breakfast is more than rich. Also the owner Francesco is very hospitable. A good restaurant Malga Stablasolo is within walking distance. On the way to this restaurant we saw the fox! Already miss it! Hope to get back soon!
