This small b&b is a great choice if you want to enjoy the beautiful views of Val Di Rabbi. It is close to the small town of Malé - that you could also reach by bike thanks to a beautiful path - and just 5 min from all the attractions Val Di Rabbi can offer. Gemma and her family have been great hosts, making us feel welcomed and at home. The room was spacious and nicely decorated with wood floors and furniture. We enjoyed having breakfast in the XVIII century wooden room with a great view on the surrounding mountains. Home made marmalades and cakes, ricotta, Casolet cheese and speck ham from the Malga nearby were the plus to the breakfast offered. We will definitely come back!

If you have never been to Val Di Rabbi you have missed out on a wonderful experience and Il Sorriso Dei Nonni is the best place to stay if ever you are lucky enough to visit. Its name says it all. You seem to be enfolded in the past AND welcomed by present owners, Remo and Gemma, who themselves ensure you have a great time in their home and in their valley. The rooms are well appointed, bright, cheerful and comfortable with their own bathrooms. A very comprehensive information folder is prominent in each room. The dining room is reminiscent of the past with its wood panelling that is hundreds years old, but which is a charming place to eat breakfast, which is served as a buffet, that includes, cereals, fruit, some of which comes from the trees in the garden, yoghurt, ricotta, jams and preserves, mostly home-made and delicious as well as crusty bread. For those with a sweet tooth, there is a different home-made cake for breakfast on a regular basis to have with your tea or coffee. The kitchen is also available for guest use but is shared, though we were lucky enough to be the only ones using it during our stay. There are many interesting and enjoyable activities and walks to do in Summer and in Winter or between seasons, with brochures outlining these activities in the entry foyer. It is the perfect starting place as it is central to many places of interest and activities and after a tiring, strenuous day, there is nothing more enjoyable than to come home to the sauna which is available to guests. We enjoyed this luxury as I am sure others would too. A recommended destination? Definitely!

I can't any enough good things about this b&b. Gemma is an amazing woman who welcomed us with open arms upon arrival. She offered us fresh homemade apple juice and told us everything we would need to know about the b&b. the room was so clean and modern with a comfy bed and a huge shower that all looked brand new! In the morning she offered a homemade breakfast that was absolutely delicious! Gemma was so kind and made our stay in Italy feel like home! Thank you Gemma! You are a wonderful person and best of luck to you!! Alaine Payton and Drew Smeltzer (newly mr and mrs Smeltzer)

This B&B was nothing short of exquisite! When we arrived, we rang the bell and were greeted at the door by Gemma. She wore a genuine smile which more than made up for her lack of English. After all, we are in Italy! She was incredibly nice and managed to communicate to us everything we needed to know. She emphasized that Lorena, her daughter, would arrive in the morning to answer any further questions we had. Gemma and Lorena were quite possibly the most hospitable owners I have ever come into contact with! After Gemma gave us a tour of the B&B, she prepared tea, coffee, and biscuits for us to enjoy as we settled in. We looked around and smiled at the place we had found. A real hidden Gem! Let me explain the layout. The rooms are located on the second level, above the entrance where the drying and laundry room is situated. Having this room was so convenient for after a day of skiing. We could walk in and immediately hang our snow gear, boots and gloves in a warm room that ensures it will be dry in the morning. They actually require you to leave your boots in this room because they don't want you tracking in water, snow, dirt, etc. into the lounge area or your room, but don't worry its safe and actually beneficial to have your boots in this room anyway. Did I mention laundry is included? Yes, you can bring your dirty clothes down to the laundry room, put it in one of the bins and by the end of the day it will be folded and waited for you to pick up! Once you have hung all your gear, you walk up a flight of stairs and enter the main area. The first thing I noticed is that the entire place is immaculate! Perfectly clean. Directly in front of you is the kitchen equipped with a stove, oven, microwave, two-compartment sink, and best of all....a fancy one-push coffee machine. With this you can choose to have tea, espresso, cappuccino, coffee, hot chocolate, and more. To the left of the kitchen is the dining area; small and cozy consisting of three wood tables that seat 4 per. From what I saw, there were four rooms. One directly to the left when you enter and three to the right of the kitchen passed the sauna. Yes, I said sauna! Our rooms were fully equipped with what we needed. Comfortable beds, a desk, closet and cabinets, plenty of outlets, and a bathroom with hot shower, toilet, sink and towel dryer. We awoke in the morning to the smell of fresh baked cake! The breakfast that is included was one of the highlights for me. Everything from the cake and marmalade to the yogurt was fresh and homemade. Gemma was there in morning to greet us and make sure our stay was going the best it possibly could. Again she brought us our choice of coffee, tea or cocoa. After she presented us with our drinks, she disappeared momentarily and returned with freshly sliced prosciutto and cheese. I was in heaven! A few things to know about your stay. Wifi is available, but there is a charge. There is also a fee for the sauna because the cost of electricity is expensive in Italy. Well, worth it for after a day of skiing! When you tell them that you would like to use the sauna, they ask what time you would like it ready so its warm for you when you arrive. They lay out robes for you to use for before and after the sauna. I could go on about how wonderful this place is, but you will just have to go and see for yourself!
