This B&B is situated in a quiet suburb of the small, isolated town of Vryburg.
It makes for a good stopover.
It offers a number of well-appointed apartments.
The breakfast is great and the hostess charming.

I seldom find such a gem of a B&B during my travels. Not only was the atmosphere friendly, but the staff was helpful too. The room in which I was, was large and comfortable. The breakfast was the best too! Tasty and enough of what I wanted. The price was very reasonable too.
I shall definitely sleep at this B&B again.

We arrived around 21:30 but the owner was ready for us. We were happy with the room overall. The only draw back is that you park your car outside (accessible from the street). While we had no incidents we were a bit worried about all our gear etc.

By chance we arrived at this Guest House at the same time as another couple on a Saturday. There was no one in! Fortunately we had a phone and I was able to phone the owner and a lady arrived with ten minutes to show us to our rooms. Although I do wonder what we would have done if we did not have a mobile phone. The room we had was very nice and outside there was a patio area with table and chairs. The owner returned later that evening and was very nice. Vryberg is a very small town and the best restaurant we found was The Ocean Basket! We could not find any individual type restaurants as they were all part of a big chain. We were using this guest house as a stop over point on our way to sun city, and would have welcomed the facility of the guest house providing a dinner and breakfast. However, as it was weekend they did not provide this facility. It was good value for money but we would have appreciated bed and breakfast and the opportunity for an evening meal.

We staid in this B&B for 1 night passing through from Botswana and we are glad we found this place. The reception was very friendly, they took extra care to make sure we could park our fully kitted 4x4 in a gated area (although the neighborhood is probably the nicest and safest in town) and in general were very forthcoming. We had a one-room apartment in the front facing the road (no through traffic) with a little kitchenette and it well suited our needs. I had read a few comments about unsatisfactory take-away breakfast before and so was a bit hesitant there, but the breakfast they provided us with to take away (probably the better option as space in the house might be limited) was exceptionally delicious and plenty with a super-delicious grilled BLT and cheese sandwich, a yogurt and muesli bar. Thank you so very much! The breakfast nearly brought us all the way back to the Western Cape...

Louise and Conrad are two of the friendliest hosts you will ever find in this industry. My wife and I were looking for a place where we could rest before our baby daughter was born. We found Peace Haven. Our entire stay was made memorable. As the time grew closer for baby to come Louise moved us into a larger, more comfortable room at the same rate she quoted us for the smaller room. When Our daughter, Ruby-Rain was born, on return to Peace Haven, their entire family came out to welcome her.

Being the first new born to grace Peace Haven, we are very honoured to have met such accomodating and family-orientated hosts as Louise and Conrad. Thank you Guys, Until we visit again.

It was my first night in S Africa and I felt so taken care of. I loved my stay at Peace Haven Guest House! It far exceeded all my expectations. The room was large, comfortable and lovely with a great view of the game reserve. Louise was so accommodating and lovable. She cooked such a scrumptious breakfast every morning for me. There is a pool next door that is available for a cool dip and the gardens and grounds were well kept and relaxing to sit in. I highly recommend a stay here to anyone that is passing through Vryburg.

Bordering on a Nature Reserve (we saw various antelope) we had a very well appointed room with all amenities, quiet, clean and an exceptional breakfast sums up Peace Haven Guest House. There is no doubt that one could not expect more from a B&B and that this is the best value B&B that we have stayed in, in South Africa.

We stayed one night but it was wonderful. The owner was extremely accommodating when we showed up late at night and didn't have a reservation. It was dark when we checked in the the following morning we discovered that the B&B backed up to a nature reserve and we saw some game very early in the morning grazing just on the other side of our compound. Breakfast (English of course) was hot and delicious and the staff were very helpful. The B&B is reasonably priced and in a nice, peaceful location as the center of town is a non-stop truck thru-way hauling mine tailings.

Peace Haven is a delightful B&B. Louise is warm and welcoming and our room was comfortable and spacious, with a fridge, microwave plates, dishes and cutlery. The garden overlooks a nature reserve and there is a large boma with a facility to serve breakfast at a long table. Since the rate was low and there was no mention of breakfast in the confirmation, plus the jar containing weetabix in the room, we assumed no breakfast. This suited us as we were carrying food in the car and were happy to make ourselves fruit, muesli and yoghurt and then make an early start to drive to Springbok. So we took our bowls to the garden and sat gazing at the nature reserve in the company of a hopeful cat. As we were packing the car, 2 young ladies arrived at the romm carrying trays. We lifted the lids off the plates and looked at each other in horror. I am vegetarian, which Louise knew from us enquiring where we might eat in Vryburg the night before. I am also fixated on quality food as I believe strongly one is what one eats. So no convenience food in our home and the best quality fresh food we can afford. So to look at a plate contains a plastic white roll, with a slice of plastic cheese and beside it a pre pack hash brown, a dollop of rubbery looking scrambled eggs, a slice of tomato and what I was assured were vegetarian sausages would have taken away any appetite I had. I cannot use the word I need to describe the sausages on a polite review site! Andrew does not eat pork and his sausages were so pink it wasn't true. We grabbed a coupe of food bags, made the food into 'breakfast buns' and believe me the tramp who materialised is out of the bushes when we stopped at a lay bye to swap drivers a couple of hundred kilometers later wa a very happy chappie to be given 2 bags of food. The cat also enjoyed licking the plate! So I suggest:

B
1. Make it clear to your guests that breakfast is served at 7.30 a.m.
2. Ask what they would like
3.serve it in the boma at the table. Don't expect guests to balance trays on their laps perched on the end of a bed

Response from Louise F, Owner at Peace Haven Guest House
Responded 10 Mar 2014
We do value the response from all our guests and want to render the best service possible. We unfortunately cannot prepare a buffet breakfast like bigger hotels or guest houses, thus we offer a different continental breakfast menu 5 days of the week. We do replace any meat on the plate with vegetarian sausages or nuggets, when the guest has a vegetarian preference. The better the guest communicates with us, the easier it is to provide a breakfast which they will enjoy. In every room there are cereals and refreshments that guests can enjoy free of charge. We have no problem if a guest says "No, thank you" for breakfast, or make suggestions to make a vegetarian meal more interesting. We always provide fruit, yoghurt and juice with every breakfast, and hope this did not end up in the bag as well! But we have never experienced a guest that takes the breakfast, throw it in a bag and then leave without paying for the breakfast.
