Greeted with an exotic fruit drink and then shown to a fabulous seafront chalet. Loved the place and the excellent soft blues and white seaside decor throughout; very much a yachty place in feel anyway, but room was super comfortable and restaurant, bar etc offered excellent and friendly people and good service. Great to walk up to see the kite surfers just up the beach; one of the world's most active schools so lots going on in a beautiful lagoon. Not on the best swimming beach as really it is a small sanded area adjacent to an active marina, but a perfect central location for visiting Union Island...and of course the nearby Tobago Cays. Reception very helpful and can organise anything for you.
I spent 10 days in one of the seafront bungalow rooms. Rooms are clean with a comfortable bed, AC, and a lovely view from a private outdoor seating area. There is a good continental breakfast included in the rate which is served on an outdoor terrace overlooking the harbour - the selection was simple but there were fabulous home cooked pastries and fresh fruit. The highlight however was the warm and friendly staff. The location was great for whatever might bring you to Union, near the kite surfing beach and the town centre.
Don't expect 5 star accommodation but the welcome and friendliness of the staff surpass anything else you might of experienced. Accommodation was clean and tidy but a bit basic but that is all part of the laid back Caribbean Islands. If it did't have this then why are you here. Take a stroll into the village only a short walk nothing special but you might find something you didn't know you wanted. It's also a laugh to play a game on the pool as it's a bit wonky it makes for a interesting challenge. Breakfast was also good with plenty of choice.
I recently spent a couple of nights here and enjoyed myself very much. The hotel is nicely located on the marina with good views over the yachts and ferries from the balcony of my room. I arrived later than I expected having travelled from Carriacou on the Lady JJ. It was dark by the time I had passed through immigration at the airport, nevertheless the hotel sent their Security guard to escort me to the hotel. Once there they kindly dispensed with the formal registration details, gave me a rum punch and my keys as they knew I had had a long day. Continental breakfast was included in my deal, which was very good, I particularly enjoyed the pastries still warm from the oven. The overall service was friendly and informal throughout. I would certainly recommend and will stay there again when I return to the island.…
This was a great place to sleep...amazing location right in the Marina. The food was good and the service was delightful. The dive shop is close by and they will drop your bags right in front of the hotel. The diving was the best that I experienced in the Caribbean!
We stayed in a cottage room with a very nice view. Be prepared to defend yourself against tiny mosquitoes, an extra net is advised. The food is definitely the weakest point of the place, starting with poor breakfast and even worse lunch options. Eat out.
We were surprisingly welcomed with drinks and huge smiles in the driveway before we even got off the shuttle. We stayed at the Kite Beach Cottage which was spotless. The view of the Beach Kite Surfers from the laying on our bed was truly breathtaking. Just a short walk to everything! Highly recommend to couples. Oh and Melissa(very professional and pleasant)booked us and our tour to other islands with Yannis... a must do!
They have a restaurant on the water with reasonable food, great for breakfast looking out on to the Harbour. The hotel is just a place to stay, nothing special, but location, location, location. Service is quite good.
My husband and I went to Union Island for a wedding and the team at the Anchorage ensured we had an awesome time for the length of our stay. Melissa and all the staff made the difference as they really extended themselves to ensure we had a great vacation. Thanks guys. We will definitely stay again.
