Musango is the type of place to go when you want to relax in the serenity of nature. Nestled on an island in the middle of Lake Kariba, this lodge has a warm and welcoming vibe. We went with 3 kids - ages 6, 8 and 11. The activities were entertaining and enjoyable and included lake cruises, nature walks and a guided visit to a rural fishing village. Steve and Wendy are most hospitable and have many exciting stories to share, if you so engage. My kids were delighted with the many prehistoric artifacts, including dinosaur fossils! We stayed 4 nights, but could have easily stayed a week swimming and playing games on the terrace overlooking the lake.

A wonderful place for some relaxing days. The Camp, led by the owners Wendy and Steve, offers a beutiful place at Lake Kariba. Including several trips to nature for game drives and , specially boat trips. Hippos, elefanphants, birds, fishing and.....crocs. Besides that Wendy and Steve, and all the staff offer very good service, in a familiar athmosphere. The lunches and dinners are hosted personally by them. As said before, a worderful place to relax, I hope being back sooner than later.

We spent 3 nights at Musango Safari Lodge and for our whole stay were made to feel absolutely "at home" by Steve, Wendy and their team. Musango nestles among the indigenous Zambezi bush so its comfort and style are incredibly appealing. The panoramic views of the lake from both the common areas and the lodges are stunning, whether at dawn from the comfort of our lodge or as we explored the nearby bays by pontoon. Each morning started with the delightful presence of numerous bushbuck together with an enormous variety of bird-life that came to the bird-bath just off our verandah. We can't wait to go back in the rainy season to enjoy another 'face' of Musango.

We had a wonderful experience at Musango Safari Lodge. The staff were friendly and helpful, food was great and the stay comfortable. The camp is very warm and inviting with a relaxed environment. You get a true safari camp experience with a good balance of rustic appeal and comfort. It is family friendly and we felt at home there with our baby and toddler. The early morning wake ups (due to our young children) were a pleasure as we got to watch the gorgeous sunrise across the lake from our room. I cannot wait to go back!

We spent a night here on Lake Kariba as part of our Self Fly air safari. Steve, the lodge's owner, builder and operator met us at Bumi Hills airfield with cold towels and cool beverages and brought us by safari vehicle and boat to the lodge. What a beautiful setup! Rooms(cabins) were very comfortable and well appointed, common areas are very nice and the views are wonderful from every vantage point. Steve took us on a wonderful evening game cruise and his immense passion, knowledge and love of the land he has lived on for decades was evident. Saw lots of game and enjoyed a beautiful sunset cruise. Dinner was hosted by Wendy and Steve and our hosts made sure our every need was attended to. Next morning was a boat trip to a local fishing village which was very interesting and

Extraordinary or Special are understatements when it comes to Musango Safari Camp. My expectations where indeed met. The idea when going on this trip was to be “off grid” and that is what we got. Location of the camp to begin with is an advantage to the owners in comparison to other properties. Steve and Wendy were such incredible hosts and their passion for people and what they do is infectious. We left there feeling like part of the family. Service from staff was genuinely always with a smile. All eight rooms face East and all guests get to experience the sun rise. The Cuisine deserves three Michelin stars and not forgetting the flexibility when it came to doing activities. Everything about Musango captivated my husband and I’s hearts. The ambience brings all guests together

From your arrival - with a warm greeting and ice-cold flannels to freshen up, right through your stay, Steve and Wendy Edwards have thought of everything to make your stay special. The lodges are luxurious and in keeping with the beautiful island bush setting of the camp. Each feels completely private with your own seating area, a partially open hot water shower with a view of the surrounding trees and unfettered views of the Lake Kariba with its hippos, elephants and prolific bird life. It’s as if the island is all yours. There’s no pressure here. It’s your choice whether you laze about camp by the pool and bar or head out on the lake to fish, game view or bird-watch. Walking safaris are also on offer, accompanied by professional and knowledgable guides. On these walks you

We stayed for four nights at Musango and could not have wished for anything more. This is an island idyll blessed with the feeling of complete exclusivity and peace, but within an area teaming with wildlife. No hectic tourist rush hours exist here; the only human life you will encounter are the dedicated and discreet staff of Musango Safari Camp. Upon arrival guests are treated to cool towels to refresh you after your journey from mainland to island. Guests can do as little or as much as the mood takes them. There are a wealth of wildlife watching opportunities on offer, from both land and water, and for such an intimate base there are plenty of ways to deeply relax and cool off. The pool in the central area is utterly refreshing with stunning views, and in this area

We spent an amazing week with Steve and Wendy Edwards at Musango Safari Camp. The rooms were very comfortable with a refreshing "cuddle puddle" splash pool outside our bedroom door. We had great food, friendly staff and good fishing. The sunrise and sunsets were glorious. We saw buffalo, hippo, elephant and babies on the shore infront of the rooms and main camp area. The bird life was prolific and we were lucky to see thousands of cormerants and terns fishing for kapenta. This is definately a "must place to visit" for renewing your soul and recharging your batteries. The resident bush buck family were a delight. The higlights were walks to the fossil beds finding ancient stone age tools, fossilised wood and dinasore remains. We also visited a geode site in an
