It is located in a quiet area and the staff makes sure that the visitors keep it that way. The beaches are very clean, my friends and I took a walk and did not see any litter. The rooms and bathrooms were also quite clean and well maintained. Since it is self-catering, plates and pots are made available. It is affordable, I went there with my colleagues from work and we are Eswatini Civil Servants

This was our best ever MOZ trip, from a romantic getaway for 2 , to a family with kids , to 20 friends , they cater for eveybody.putt putt , decadent swimmimg pools , watersports ,kayaking, fishing ,beach volley ball and soccer etc. And seafood in abundance , the ladies (only buy from woman , price is better and they will clean your fish incl in price) . Bilene market is 3 minutes from the gate , you can find there food , bakery ,salads , hats , curious ets. i include a ' pricelist' for goods paid in MOZ.
exchange rate @ R 1.00 = mt 5.00
1 x Pao 9mt
price per kilogram
crab 150mt = R 30
fish 350 mt = R 60
prawns (any and all size , not cleaned) 400 mt = R80
cuttle fish (calamari ) 500 mt =R100
crayfish (we never bought) 600 mt =R120
cashew nuts 1 L(they use olive oil tins ) 500 mt =R100
if you buy cashew nuts to bring back home , rather buy the one with the skin on , they last much longer (crisp) , and i find the taste much better.

We have just returned from an amazing week at beautiful Bilene. This beach resort is at an ideal location with the most gorgeous view of the lagoon. The resort has various accommodation options, we stayed at the 3 bedroom duplex as well as the 4 bedroom villa.
The duplex is a lovely modern unit with great finishing touches that have everything that you will need. The downside to this unit is the walls of your neighbouring guests are paper thin and if you are as unfortunate as we were to have loud and inconsiderate holiday goers you can count on not getting any good night sleep here. We tried our luck, and there was availability at the villas.
The villa is highly recommended if you enjoy your peace and quiet as well as your privacy. These villas are spacious, although outdated and in need of an upgrade. It has your own private plunge pool and fully fitted kitchen, including a dishwasher ;)

The only reason this place gets a 3 star from me is the cleanliness of the bedding it is quite disgusting seeing the condition of the bed linen, badly stained and worn out.
When I asked housekeeping to change the sheets, they just brought a different set worse than the previous all 3 times!!!!
I eventually gave up as I could see that I was not going to win.
There is no way to contact reception unless you are willing to drive out to them. I feel this really brings this resort down.

Such a beautiful place ruined by horrible management. Second time the lady ruins what is supposed to be a relaxing trip for family and friends. Please, if you want to be respected as a client think wisely before indulging 😬 I will make sure to advise all acquaintances before they think about coming here. And to the lady manager with short hair and glasses please remember dearly that the costumer is always right🙃

We visited Bilene & on 30 Dec were welcomed by Manager who is Mardi's husband, we are family with 3 kids - 2yrs, 6 & 10yrs. We had brunch, and enjoyed afternoon at the Seating area. very welcoming & good service.

We decided to return for lunch on 1Jan 2021 and were again welcomed, no problem. After our meal my 2year son fell asleep and was on the couch next to me. While having drinks Mardi approached my husband & was very rude told us we are not welcome & must leave. The place is for guests only. But we asked on 30 Dec when arrived and said its open to public, and she said no we must go & my son is not allowed to sleep(imagine, how can 1 prevent 2year child from falling asleep after lunch??)

Definetly not the way to treat paying patrons especially after we had asked on 30Dec and were told its open to public. Very disgusted by the behaviour so racist as other guests were not denied entry!!!

Dear BabsLuk, Thank for your review. We appreciate you having visited our resort's restaurant area and are pleased that you enjoyed the brunch provided. Unfortunately there appears to have been some misunderstanding within your discussions with the management team. Whilst all of our resort's facilities are open to our resident guests, it is only our restaurant that allows non resort guests to sit down and enjoy a fine meal, after which they are expected to kindly vacate our resort premises. All other facilities within the immediate area are strictly reserved for our guests. Our apologies for any inconvenience caused and we appreciate you having bought this matter to our attention. Kind regards San Martinho Beach Club

Apart from the title description. We were humourless confused with a South African name tag (eg. Frikkie) on a local guy named Qadier (corrected the next day). Private little chalets provide an ideal. couple/small family environment for a neat and modern place to. rest your head and cool down. different sections of the resort, accessible to guests, allows for great stretches of walks from sand bar restaurant to lawn chess and board game centre. locals await to take you on boat rides on the lake and many other water activities are offered. if you in the mood for a. more 'vibey' part orientated scene, a local trip across the lake to a neobouring lodge will give you that upbeat feel, good for a day.

We have been here 3 nights so far and eveynight has been parties. Outside people arrive in taxis . Definitely don't feel safe here. These are 4 sleeper rooms but there are sometimes 15 to 20 people in a unit !!! Music carries on until 3am . Disgusting behavior. Definitely not for families and that's why we came here and paid the premium price we did. Service is not great either. Management cannot be found after 5pm.

Since 1993 we have spent all our Christmas holidays in Bilene and as you can imagine we have gone from camping under the most basic conditions to staying in reed huts and finally for the last 20 years or so we have had the pleasure of enjoying a bit of comfort and luxury at the various resorts in Bilene.

As Holiday Club members we had been trying for years to get into San Martinho Beach Club, and we are now very happy that we have the opportunity to also enjoy it.

The resort is amazing, the staff are very nice and helpful. A play area for the children near the Club House would be nice as the only jungle gym is by the restaurant and it is quite far from where we stayed.

We had a fantastic family holiday, my little grandson keeps on asking when are we going back to the holiday house in Mozambique. It's nice and quite and away from the noisy main road, a pity that it is so difficult to get in over the Christmas period.

Well done to the Beekman Group you have created a beautiful and luxurious resort, Bilene needed it. Will most definitely go back.

Beautiful views and accommodation. Service from staff poor, gym is dirty, aircon in gym not working, room telephone not working, had to walk to reception everytime we needed something. Locked out couldn’t access the hotel, food was poor.
Overall service was a real disappointment. We loved the place but hated the service.

HORRIBLE SERVICE. We have waited 1 hour for toasts in a empty restaurant.

Really really horrible service, I’m never putting my feet again in this place.

Owner was only serving his table with his friends while all customers were waiting.

Staff was 4/10. The only good thing is the view.
