I stayed 1 night . My previous night was at a famous game reserve not too far from this 1, and in my opinion Inverdoorn was the better of the 2. The rooms were really nice and very clean . The game drives itself was...More
As per the title, I have mixed feelings about our stay at Inverdoorn considering the price paid.
The room was comfortable but pretty basic, more inviting from the outside than it was inside.
The shower drained so slowly that you were standing in water and...More
Easily the best part of our 10 days in Cape Town. Beautiful surroundings, we saw all of the animals and our guide Mariske and tent manager Rue were second to none. Would recommend to any and everyone looking to do an overnight safari!
My partner and I stayed for a 2 day (overnight) safari in the tented camp at Inverdoorn.
The grounds at the base camp were very impressive, and we saw pics of the tented camp when we were doing research, but they didn't compare to what...More

Hi , we booked through their website directly! I definitely don’t think it’s worth a two night stay. We did it as a self drive, i.e. we drive their and then went on the game drive. If their are a few of you then this really is more logical only because you’d be spending a fare amount simply on the drive out there and back. Is it a massive game reserve? No, But is it a zoo, definitely not. There really are no massive Game reserves in the Western Cape, so unless you are planning stop in Johannesburg and do the Kruger National then this is a great way of seeing the animals. A lot of them are rescue animals but they roam free within a reserve and so it is for this reason people liken it too a zoo. The predators are obviously fenced in to protect them from being poached and from them attacking each other. I enjoyed it immensely but it’s not Kruger National, it is however ideal if you are pressed for time.

We did not get to try Aquila, but during our stay at Inverdoorn, we saw a lot of people who just went there for a day trip. I got to speak to some of them, and I didn't really get any negative feedback cause you really see a lot in just one drive. I totally agree with Lee L's response. Hope this helped...
