Unit 3 has it all, two bedrooms shower/ bath and toilet facilities, a well equipped kitchen, a lounge with aircon and a fireplace. The Unit was absolutely spotless and ready with our arrival. Check-in was done and all Covid 19 procedures finalised. Unit 3 is situated a kilometer or so away from the main farm but in a beautiful area with 3 or 4 other units.
Well done to every person involved in making guest stay memorable.
Beautiful drive from here to Citrusdal via the Middelberg pass.

This place is fantastic. It has everything you need for an unforgettable family holiday - neat, clean and well-appointed cottages with aircon for summer and fireplace and hot tub for winter, incredible swimming spots and beautiful scenery. The short hikes are perfect for families, as they are relatively short (1-2km) with great rewards (rock art, mountain pools). Friendly hosts and beautiful surroundings. You can't go wrong.

Kunje is a beautiful getaway place.. Away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. The nearest shop is a few kilometers away...Its a lovely place to unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet of the Cedarberg Mountains ..It is situated at the foot of the mountains, between Ceres and Citrusdal. There are very little cellphone coverage or tarred roads. You have to drive on gravel roads to get to where you will be staying.
We were a very large group..so we booked the guesthouse, which had six comfortably furnished rooms accommodating 14 people, as well as 3 chalets within walking distance of each other. All the bedrooms had beautiful white linen and towels.. All the kitchens had complimentary fresh fruit .They also had a variety of canned peaches and jams placed in baskets in all the kitchens. The priced items were left there on an honesty basis. They trust you to place the exact monies in the basket of whatever goodies you are taking ..

We all loved the early morning walks..My elderly parents and our younger grandchildren walked through the vineyards and picked fresh fruit ..they also walked the short hiking trails. The rest of us enjoyed the hiking, mountain climbing, mountain bike trails, and the swimming holes.
The kids loved climbing the massive rocks and exploring the caves around the guesthouse. We had a wonderful, relaxing and peaceful weekend, and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet farm life, away from the smog and noise of city life.

We stayed in unit 3. All facilities catered for. Very neat and clean - everything in working order. Lovely walking trails. Nature at its best. No cellphone signal. Wood sold at unit as well as other homemade products. A real breather for the soul!

A large group of us stayed at the main guesthouse and adjoining cottage this weekend to celebrate a bachelorette. The rooms were lovely and the kitchen was very well equipped. The little pool in the rock outcrops was so refreshing, as it was a hot weekend. Great birding and beautiful walks.

The dirt road between the main tarred road and the house is only a few minutes long and in good condition. Normal cars had no problem getting there (just drive slow).

Highly recommend and will go again.

Loved the honesty box. The rusks were delicious!

I was having a lovely time until someone pointed out the massively huge grotesque spider hanging out in the hallway. after that I couldn't relax at all (but I have severe arachnaphobia - it probably wouldn't ruin it for anyone else). we stayed in the guest house and it was quite beautiful - a lovely outdoor space complete with a few braais, and we noticed an empty swimming pool which would have been lovely. it is based a short drive away from these lovely natural pools which is a perfect way to spend the warm summer days. I really wish my trip hadn't been ruined by spiders - apart from that it was lovely! the place is well equipped so just need to bring food and the essentials!

We had 3 wonderful nights at the guest farm. We had unit 2 which is suitable for a couple, plenty of space, very clean, comfortable and well equipped.
Arrival from Ceres was via a very good tarmac road. We picked the keys from reception notice board as we arrived out of office hours on a Sunday, clear directions to the accommodation, which was about 1km along an unmade road opposite which was easy even with my very ordinary rental car.
You will need to bring all food and drink unless you want a very long drive but washing up liquid/cloths/toilet rolls/towels/bedding and a carton of milk were provided. This is made clear when booking.
No wifi but most of the time we had 4G reception.
We did a number of the hikes as we did not want to take the car anywhere, quite easy to follow but a bit more signage would be useful in some places. We would have also liked a bit more information about the area and what animals/birds/insects/flowers we might see.
We were lucky enough to meet the owner who took time to show us some of the packing operation despite being super busy.
Highly recommend if you want your be away from it all.

This place really takes you back to your grandmothers era ,in a good way .All amenities are already sorted and waiting just for you to use them .Well looked after and value for money .the only down side is if you're at the large "cabin" that you're quite far from the rest of the camp spots and "pool"

We spent a night at Kunje Guest Farm this weekend and it was amazing. The cottage was lovely and the walks around the farm are stunning. It was peaceful and still, just what we needed for out family getaway. The kids loved being outdoors and they enjoyed the San paintings. I am so reviewing Kunje Guest Farm on my blog! We will be returning to Kunje for sure!

Wow, once again Kunje delivered Peace & Tranquility! We stayed in unit 3 which was perfect for our needs. A self catering unit with both inside fire place and outside undercover braai on the stoop. What more could you want. We hiked during the day and relaxed by the fire from early evening. Views from the top of Geelberg was stunning as well as the bushman painting and picnic cave.

"If you are going in a large group ,book the guesthouse.. Some of us wanted our own space so we booked the chalets aswell. They have one or two bedrooms with en-suites...The guest house had ample space for all of us to gather together for family braais and meals..Check which one of the accommodations suit your group...This is an ideal getaway, whether you are a couple or large family or group"
