Our family had a lovely lunch at the Village Guest House. The food was well presented and tasty, the service by Carla top notch. We especially enjoyed their signature dish, the stacked snitchel. The wine list was varied, offering a great local selection. Highly recommend.

I have spent 2 nights at the Village, having previously stayed on a number of occasions, and the overall experience now is the best ever. There has been a progression over the last years, the grounds are better kept, the overall look is sharper and the service has improved. Had a dinner last night in the restaurant and if was good, as has been the breakfast. Good value for money and the best choice for an overnight stay in Ceres

Staff pleasant and welcoming. Rooms and bathrooms clean We would have enjoyed a dip in the Pool, however it was filthy. Appeared as if it hadn’t been cleaned for quite some time. The variety for Dinner was good and great value. breakfast was good and very acceptable. Overall, the charged rate per night, was on the expensive side. We’ve been traveling since 9 December and spent a total of 28 nights in various B&B, guest houses and hotels. If one compares the other accommodation, and the rates charged, ie a guest house in the Wilderness over looking the beach, at ZAR 400.00 per night more, Village Guest House was expensive.

We stayed at The Village over a long period. The rooms are comfortable but mostly 3/4 beds. Ask for double bed when you book. Beautiful gardens. Safe parking. Free WiFi. Nice breakfast. Church bell rings every hour. Can become irritating over time. Friendly service. Restaurant and full bar on premises.

We made a booking for a Friday evening at the Village Guest House & Restaurant round 19:30. On arrival, we were shown to a table and the waitress assisted us with the wine menu and delivered our choice of wine. We then ordered two different meals that were placed before us quite quickly. The food was well displayed but lacked some taste. Admittedly, we enjoyed our food and wine but the venue needs some renewal to enhance the ambiance. The service was good.
