i stayed at Cherry Glamping for 1 night as there was a wedding being held there. The venue is great but for the accommodation, what you pay for and what you get it is not worth it. The toilets are outside (nicer ablution toilets - they smell bad still) and there is not enough per person. Same with the showers.
Breakfast the next day was rather average and not what I expected so I am not sure if that is the norm or if it was done that way for the wedding guests. (coffee and a chocolate croissant was all that was on offer)

Beds were okay but all twin beds and no double converters so not great for couples. there was a blanket per bed but that night was cold.

I think it is a great concept but there needs some special attention to the smaller things in order to make this a more long standing accommodation. there is also no electricity points near the tents, i know its probably to keep it simple but i do feel more effort needs to be made especially for the bathrooms as it was pouring down with rain and if you need the bathroom in the middle of the night its not great having to walk outside in the cold and get wet just to use the bathroom.

I hope in a few months time things will be a bit different and more improved.

Hello Nicky I am sorry to hear you were not happy with your accommodation. Not sure where you were staying or what you were expecting, as you were a guest of the bride and groom so we did not allocate the tents. Also, breakfast is what was agreed with your host. We do not have electricity, we are off the grid on a solar system. However, each permanent tent has a cellphone charging point. Again, I am not sure if you knew this beforehand, or if you were expecting electricity? Our tents are not en suite, each 4 tents share a bathroom, and all bathrooms are close to the tents. We believe not to take the camping out of glamping, but take note on all your complaints and will make sure we improve where possible. Again, sorry to hear that all was not what you expected. regards Richard

I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with 7 friends at this gem of a place. When you get there, 3 friendly zebras and plenty of springbok greets you. There is so much attention to detail: from the bottle opener in the cutlery and crockery crate at our tents, to the fire starters and small pieces of wood in all the fire/braai places. Lovely area to stay late into the night with lots of wines and guitars in front of the fire.

A great weekend all around. Thank you Richard!

Firstly this is not glamping. Glamping is short for glamorous camping which will include a shower and toilet inside your tent. Here the shared toilet and shower units were 20 to 30m away, not funny in the middle of the night.
Also some of the toilet and shower doors could not be locked because the latches did not line up.
My mattress was extremely uncomfortable which really ruined the 2 nights I had to sleep there for a wedding.
Certainly will not recommend

We spent 2 nights here as part of our S African holiday. The tents are roomy and comfortable having proper beds in them but it also feels like a proper camping set up. Richard was very helpful and a perfect host. We did a days Mountain biking and Richard organised bike rentals etc. There is some good riding from the doorstep on the Paul Cluver vineyard with spectacular views. Great fun to cook your own braai (BBQ) and they have amenities to store food and more importantly chill your wine. If you don’t fancy cooking there is a great restaurant 20 mins drive called Mannys. All in all we were very well looked after and made to feel very welcome. I would recommend it if you want something a bit different.

We had a wonderful time at Cherry Glamping! The nature, and seeing and hearing the blue cranes was a highlight. Thanks for having us and this is the second time we have been there! There was a bit of noise while the staff had to undo a wedding set up, banging and and such, a few days earlier so it wasn't as quiet as we would've liked, but still wonderful.

We loved everything about our Cherry Glamping experience. The facilities are impeccable - it is all the fun, excitement and 'down-to-earth-ness' of camping with the convenience of truly beautiful tents, bathrooms and kitchen facilities. Everything we needed was easily accessible.

I did not know what to expect, visiting Cherry Glamping, as I was invited by friends and did not do a lot of research myself. My initial surprise was a zebra that welcomed us, just after entering the property. There were also lots of springbok we spotted on the estate.

Rooms were warm and the beds were comfortable. Even though there was a strong, cold wind on the first night, the tents did not budge at all, which meant a nice warm and quiet stay.

The communal area was the highlight for me. There is a lovely fireplace and a large table, where one could socialize. The kitchen was fully equipped and beautifully finished, with everything one could think of.

There is a large fire pit with a generous amount of wood that was included in the price. A couple of hammocks between the trees were one of those nice to haves and the two swimming pools also added to a lovely experience (for those who were brave enough to jump in, as we visited in winter).

I'd recommend this more for couples and groups of friends, instead of families with children.

Thanks for your review and kind words. FYI we can add extra beds for kids, and often have families. Kids love "free-roaming" at Cherry Glamping, either on foot or bicycles, and soon will be able to fish once our new dams are stocked. keep well and hope to see you back soon! Really a great experience. Beautiful setting and a very nice camp site. Perfect for people who like idea of camping, but think it is too much of an effort. Everything provided. The lounge is a perfect area to wind down and spend the evening in front of a fire with some good wine and good company. Had a great time!

We stayed here for two nights over a weekend. Cherry Glamping exceeded our expectations. The campsite is clean, very nicely decorated and extremely comfortable. The owner came over to make sure that we were settled in and showed us all the facilities. Breakfast was fresh and extremely tasty. Quite and beautiful, stay here if you can.
