Yes, the hotel is getting old, but who cares when everything else is just right? The food was first class, just great. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable and the bathroom modern. The service, both the staff and the landlady were perfect. What more could you want? We'll be back. Definitely.

We had a spacious comfort room with own bathroom and hot water. Bed old style German, heating worked well as the nights were cold. It is a hotel which stretches over several buildings with patios and hallways to cross to get to your room. Excellent meeting rooms (for up to 15 people) with Metaplan material and pinboards. Food and wine great - this time of the year also game - with own deer meat from the herd behind the hotel. Lots of outside places and pool in summer. Large delicious breakfast qieh cold cuts, cheese, variety of yogurts, fruit and fruit salad, juices. Hot coffee. Perfect place to start hiking towards the old town of Klingenberg and the terraced vineyards which produces great Franken wine.

We spent one night at the hotel and it was quite adequate for our needs. We found it quite difficult to locate and had to ask people a few times to find it. The initial reception was luke warm and a bit unhelpful but this improved as time went on. The room was small but clean and quiet and very good value for the price. Being quite a way from the village, we ate in the evening at the hotel and found the food was excellent and good value. Also the breakfast was very good.

We had a great3s weekend. We were 17 people for a family celebration. Already the booking process was very easy and cordial. Ä push and special requests were implemented immediately and very friendly. The value for money is very good. We were set a beautiful blackboard and the recommended musicians were just great. The food is excellent, the service was extremely attentive and friendly. The property is a bit older, but the atmosphere, friendliness and food more than make up for it. Great breakfast. All very loving. The beautiful outdoor area was fantastic for the children. Many thanks to the wonderful boss and the whole team.

The location is beautiful, the food is good but the hotel rooms are some classes worse. To eat and enjoy it is recommended, I would not stay there anymore. Room is in need of renovation and bath and shower very unwelcoming. Unfortunately, savings are made in the wrong place.
Incidentally, the pool is not in operation even in summer.

This is a typical country hotel, the rooms are immaculately clean and everything works as it should but it is not modern or very fancy. If you want a clean and comfortable bed then you will get it here! It must be said though that the food, beer and wine are excellent!

We spent one night here at a cost of 100Euros and were thoroughtly disappointed. The first room we were given had spider webs in the corners, the wall paper was falling off and the bathroom was very old and mouldy. We phoned reception and complained and were shown two other rooms so we picked the 'best' out of the two but it was by no means worth the 100Euros. The hotel is spread out over several buildings which are all connected by a maze of hallways and courtyards. In every corner as you walk to your room, there is old furniture and junk piled up. The older woman serving breakfast was so unfriendly and unwilling to provide good service. My husband asked for a capuccino and she said that it would take to long because she'd have to turn the machine on! So, she just gave him regular coffee. The location is great (in the woods) and we had a wonderful quiet sleep. The animals that they have at the hotel are great for kids but this hotel needs a major renovation of ALL rooms and ALL public areas and needs some decent serving staff to be able to charge this amount of money per night! All in all, I guess it boils down to better management.
