We have just returned from a short ski trip to Barzio and stayed in Hotel Esposito. This family hotel is a quaint, picturesque traditional Italian hotel situated in the heart of the village and run by a friendly and helpful family. The rooms and bathroom were spotless and warm. The bed linen was fresh and the room temperature can be manually adjusted to suit your needs. The wifi in the hotel was strong and we had no trouble making video calls back to Ireland. The skibus only runs on Saturdays and as our group were staying Wed - Sunday, the owners were more than happy to offer us a lift up and down to the gondola each day. We had a wonderful stay here and each of us would highly recommend this hotel.

Reserved two rooms not really knowing an awful lot about the place or the village. Sonia emailed us regularly and her tremendous English helped our booking process and also our entire stay. The owners couldn't be more helpful. It is a beautiful old hotel but has been modernised recently. Rooms, simple but clean with lovely new bathrooms. It was so quiet in Barzio last week, perhaps because of so little snow, that not many other places were open for dinner but eating at the hotel was fantastic. An excellent menu and we all thoroughly enjoyed our every meal. The breakfast was very simple but we were offered cheese and fruit if requested. Sonia and her family are a wonderful asset and I would definitely recommend staying here. They gave us discount passes for the ski lifts and ski rentals which made, what was an already very affordable resort, into an even better one!

Right, sometimes you remember how it was, but here in Barzio you can say: it is axactly as I wanted!! In this lovely moutain village you will find a lot of attractions: from beautifull villas to old style country houses, from rocky mountains to nice slopes to exercise your skying attitude! Near the center of the Village you will find the Esposito Hotel and Restaurant. I have been there for a dinner and the experience was absolutely great! Traditional food: Bresaola, salami, Risotto al Barolo, the best pizzoccheri, Snails with polenta or stufati con polenta ... sweets and a good bottle of local wine! The service by the owners is wery friendly and customer minded. At the end the price is very reasonable and the experienc was: a dinner to remember!!

Stayed here with a friend in February 2013 to ski in nearby Pianni di Bobbio. An absolutely wonderful family runs this place with love and it was such a treat to stay here. Christiano and his wife Sonya handle the front desk and customer service and are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Sonya replied to our email with lots of helpful information in excellent English and was invaluable in planning our trip here. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast (included) was fine, and the two-course dinner in the hotel's restaurant (cooked by Christiano's adorable father, wearing a floral apron) was delicious and a good value. A navette shuttle runs from a few blocks away in town to the funicular that goes up the skiing mountain, everything is convenient and easy to reach. Have very warm memories of this place and would love to return someday!
