We went to Rifugio Sora for lunch on a quiet Saturday and were not disappointed. This is a traditional mountain restaurant serving simple but very good 'peasants' food in an informal and slightly kitsch evironment. All food was home made, tasty and in good portion, service was efficient and informal and prices reasonable compared to some other restaurants up here on the mountains. There is nice view from the main dining room but that was closed during our visit as it was a very quiet day.

Probably best food around Piani di Bobbio rifugi (simple but excellent quality), we also stayed in family room for 2 nights, super convenient as it is right on the slopes and room was more spacious for 4 than usual. The only difficulty was taking a shower as water comes and goes and I was stuck under for 15 min with shampoo on waiting for it to come back. A bit tricky when having kids with you.
