Beautiful hotel and SPA. Excellent cuisine and a more than dedicated staff. From breakfast to dinner the layout and quality of the food was extraordinary. Excellent wine cellar and knowledgeable sommelier. The SPA and the related facilities were in top notch condition. We are pretty sure to return as soon as possible

Stayed here whilst going to F1 in Spielberg which was an hour away. Lovely relaxing hotel great family room and welcoming staff. Great food and wine pairings. Restaurant was well organised and cocktails were pleasant. Great choice of pools and relaxation rooms.

Deluxe suite :- Nicely appointed with pleasant views of the forest and hills. Capsule coffee maker and kettle (on request) provided. Lots of comfy seating. Smaller TV than we expected, mounted at an awkward viewing height on the wall. Large balcony.
Bathroom :- Huge with freestanding bath, separate shower and infra red cabin. Lighting a little dim though, and clear windows into the bedroom are not to everyone's taste, but they do let more light in I suppose...
Housekeeping :- To a very high standard but a shame they ignored the 'do not disturb' sign on the door one day while we were having breakfast. They made up the room and removed a map, guide book and soft drink bottle we had left on the floor near the door so as not to forget to take them out with us later. We found the housekeeper and got the map and book back though. I can only imagine they were expecting lots of guest changeovers that day and were in a rush to clean rooms.
Breakfast :- Excellent choice but omelettes were of variable quality.
Dinner :- Six courses on half board with plenty of choice. Menu in English available. No complaints, but nothing particularly special either.
Wellness :- Indoor and outdoor pools and loads of saunas and steam-rooms etc. Did not use them, but they seemed popular with plenty of other guests.
Waiting staff and front desk :- Just a handful of staff made an admirable effort to speak some English, just as we try and speak a bit of German, but there were notable exceptions who could not even manage to try simple words like tea or coffee. Not good for a high end hotel with an international clientele.

Verdict? A fine hotel in a beautiful location that nearly manages to justify its high prices. Very much recommended nevertheless.

had a family suite with seperate child room; lot's of space there and nice terrace;
staff is superfriendly and helpful, and the whole Wellness area is outstanding;
location is perfect for little hikes with little kids, while on site there are no facilities for littel kids (pool are, playground and such); but anyhow, that place is supposed to enjoy nature; FOOD is fantastic

Very nice and very clean Styrian hotel.
Our room smelled nice on natural wood and it was very bright and clean.
Hotel stuff was friendly and helpful. Food was great. They get regional products from
Farmers and you can see difference. Meet was perfect.
Wellness was not huge but they are building new areas. Also clean. All day tee and fresh apples! I had great birthday here.
Suppressing dinner with small book gift from hotel & piece of chocolate cake.
Thank you.

Various members of our family and ourselves have been coming here since almost the beginning as my husband was born in the area. Every visit this hotel just gets better and better.
This visit we stayed in the new garden suites. Absolutely stunning. Spotlessly clean, modern, hugely spacious with enormous terrace which overlooks the hills and the cows grazing.
The new infinity pool is incredible. Loved spending time in the quiet rooms too.

The service is fabulous and always so nice to see some familiar faces each visit.

The food is extremely generous with an amazing choice each day.
Yes, most of the guests are German speaking but it’s no problem if you don’t speak German as menus can be in English too.

Team Pierer you have done an outstanding job building your brand. It’s always fabulous to return and see you all again. Until next time. Thank you.

The spa is really nice, there are a lot of different saunas and a comfortable relaxing room with music. The food is really good and the waitresses are nice too. The buffet offers a lot of different things, and everybody will find something to eat there.
The bed in the room is quiet comfortable, the only thing I didn’t like about the room was, that there was no real door for the toiletroom. Only a „Glasdoor“. I would really recommend this spa hotel!

Almwellness Hotel Pierer is a beautiful family owned and operated retreat in the Austrian countryside. The guest rooms are large and many have gorgeous scenic views. The public spaces are charming and the spa is outstanding with a panoramic indoor pool that is as relaxing as it is breath-taking. There is a pretty outdoor pool as well. Perhaps the best thing about the hotel, however, is the warmth and friendliness of the staff and their attention to detail. Oh, and I should mention, the views on the drive to the hotel are spectacular!

The Hotel Pierer is one of our most favourite places to visit in the entire world.
The Family Pierer and their wonderful team offer a warm welcome and ensure that the hotel
is spotlessly clean and so calming.

We had two Hochlantsch view rooms again which were in pristine condition. Beds comfy and showers fantastic.
Our swims before breakfast in the Panorama Pool were one of the highlights of the day. Hardly anybody else around and just magnificent views.

Food is great. More than you could wish for. Little bar and open fire are cosy and welcoming.
We never had lunch at the hotel as we were always out and about, but often called into the Latschenhuette (another Pierer family business) which is a real favourite of ours also.

Our second time celebrating New Years Eve there and it's great fun. Music and dancing and midnight on the terrace overlooking the mountain. It even snowed this year - a bonus.

Being non-smokers, we would say that it would be fabulous is this was a non-smoking hotel, but I guess that's not going to happen any time soon and it wasn't a major problem.

Love the family atmosphere and especially Mozart (the family dog). Can't wait to return and once again, highly recommend.
