CUNNINGHAM COTTAGE WELCOMES YOU! Your hosts, Gert and Bernice Kotze trust that your stay with us will be so enjoyable and comfortable that we will see you again in future. The main stone cottage (hence the name)is residence to the Kotze's and their two Labradors,Bella and Lucca. It also houses the reception/lounge area, as you enter the property. The heart of the cottage boasts a lovely conference room, comfortable for twenty delegates with power points, a screen, flipchart and free wi-fi. It also has a big dining room that opens up to the garden with French doors. Here is an honesty fridge with wine, malt and soft drinks for the enjoyment of our guests. The property has a lovely garden for guests to unwind and enjoy. It has an abundance of water with the overflow of the Eye (the miracle fountain that provides the town with water ) that forms a rivulet and two cement canals that run through it. A splash pool on deck, outside sitting and dining area are a welcome treat after a day's weary travel or hard work. The property is fenced and an automatic entrance and exit gate makes it a safe haven and secure parking for guests on the property. Cunningham cottage is an evolving concern with warm hospitality the major objective.

Stayed over 2 nights - on my way to Kgalagadi and on my way back to Pretoria again. I loved the attention to detail (even a little first aid bottle with a plaster, and 2 panados), the large room, the comfortable shower, the warm reception and off course i was not disappointed by the lovely garden (one off those guests that first look at the garden before making a booking). Very surprised when i wanted to leave to early for breakfast - a brown bag was packed for the road with the nicest goodies - nothing is scimpy at Cunningham cottage! Recommending with open arms!!!

Very comfortable and welcoming. Hosts could not have done more!
Lovely peaceful garden and delicious breakfast, which was specially prepared early for us. We felt very safe. Next time we will get a takeaway and sit in the garden for supper.
Air conditioner was very welcome on a hot March day. Thoroughly recommend this stop over to or from the Kgalagadi.

Just had an awesome stay at Cunningham Cottages in Kuruman on way to Kalagadi. Great room with coffee corner over a koi pond. Breakfast was one of the best. Highly recommended for your stopover - midway between Gauteng and Twee Rivieren.

We recently spent our third visit at Cunningham Cottage. It is now our stopover of choice for trips to the Northern Cape from Gauteng.
Beautiful gardens, good rooms with a lot of extras, and a great breakfast. All three occasions have been enjoyable. This is a very good B&B !

Fantastic, cosy place with everything and more, you need! Friendly hosts in Gert- making you feel at home immediately. Left early and got two breakfast packs with. Really worth every cent and will recommend anytime, to everybody!

An oasis in the dilapidated town of Kuruman (sadly like so many of our small towns). Beautiful gardens, lovely hosts and a superb breakfast with excellent coffee. We went to Rostillis restaurant for dinner and it was pleasant. What a pity that the Kuruman Eye is in such a state!

What stunning guesthouse! A gem in the middle of Kuruman. Such attention to detail in the decor, a wonderful garden setting to relax after your journey and the most delicious breakfast. Fantastic for a stopover on route to or from your holiday destination.

After a long 12 hour drive, we received a very friendly welcome from the owners Bernice & Gert. We were shown to our room which was uniquely and exquistively decorated. Felt like a little piece of home and not just a place to stay at. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was spacious and luxurious. Each room had its own balcony adding to your privacy. We received a lovely hot breakfast, with also the option of cereals, yogurts, muffins, fresh fruit, teas, fruit juice and coffee. You can see that the owners really have your best interest at heart and are there to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. This is definitely a place to stay at if you are passing through Kuruman.

We stopped over in Kuruman for one night en route from the Augrabies Falls to Johannesburg. The rooms were spacious and comfortable although both pillows were on the hard side and we would have preferred the option of a softer option. We enjoyed sitting in the garden on arrival and enjoying a quite drink from the 'honesty bar'. The breakfast was certainly one of the best we have ever experienced in a guest house and for that alone I have no hesitation in recommending this establishment.

Dear Aubrey, Thank you for taking time out to write a review. Yes, I often find that a pillow is a very personal item, but thank you for bringing it under our attention. It is easy enough to rectify it. You are always welcome. Kind regards Bernice

My wife and I spent 2 nights on separate occasions at Cunningham Cottage during August 2016. All of our high expectations were exceeded. The accommodation is charming, with a gorgeous garden complementing the experience. The beautiful ambiance of the place is unparalleled, with a lot of quirky ornamentation showing off the creative talents of the warm hosts. The breakfast was abundant, with fresh ingredients, and the entire home-from-home time we spent represented excellent value for money.
