What a pleasant oasis when you get to the lodge! We stayed over for 3 nights in a chalet (1 bedroom, but spacious). The kitchen is very well equipped for self catering, but having your meals at the restaurant (where you can also enjoy free wi-fi) is just such a convenient option.
The large patio makes the chalet feel even more spacious. We found all the staff and owner very friendly and helpful. It seems a particularly favorite amongst 4x4 campers as a overnight stop. Would love to go back again.

Overall feedback very positive.
The only negative aspect was the fact that the restaurant only offered a buffet dinner.
The quality of food was good, but management of quantities lacked. Although we paid the full R195 per person, almost half of the items were empty.

This is our 3rd stay here. Convenient location. Well kitted out clean units. Usually we self cater but this time we made use of the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Food was surprisingly good ( a few items were missing from the menu) with friendly service. Nice walks around the property with good birdlife.

Very comfortable, well designed and relaxing stop in the bush. The restaurant was amazing in terms of variety and quality and the included breakfast buffet very delicious. All staff and management were lovely and accommodating. We even managed to fit in an impromptu game drive around the property.

My friend and I came to camp, but were happy that we changed our mind and took one of the Rondawels, as we had heavy rain in the night. Even though Richard was this time not there to take care of my vegan dietary request, the stuff still managed to produce a reasonable vegan dinner. Like always a great place to stay when passing Kuruman and will be back very soon.

We stayed over at Red Sands for the first and last night of our West Coast tour. Beautiful place with brilliant service, excellent food and very comfortable chalets. Red Sands is beautifully maintained. The owner and all his staff are very friendly and really make you feel welcome. We will definitely always stay there if we're on our way to Cape Town again.

We camped here twice on our trip to/from Namibia. Pitches are sandy, spacious, and come with a nice braai and washup area as well as a plug point. Shared bathrooms are clean and although not very large I never had to wait for a shower or toilet. It is usually a peaceful campsite, but during loadshedding the generator goes on and that noisy thing is right next to the campsite. It doesn't make for good sleeps. Restaurant has good food, but is very busy on weekends with locals.

Stay was pleasant and Food was great, albeit the cockroach which I sucked up through a straw and had to spit out - much to the laughter of the group. This happens in kitchens no matter how much precaution one takes. I still need to commend the chef and kitchen staff on the excellent food and great service. Accommodation is also very comfortable even through loadshedding.
