Our stay at Oryx Trails Lodge was phenomenal - the farm is well stocked with exotic game and the staff were exceptional with superb service. They even catered for my wife's gluten free dietary needs and went the extra mile in every way. Great place!

I am a Corporate Travel Consultant and have the job to try and keep the CEO's happy and find 5Star places for them to stay at. They absolutely loved this property and will get back whenever they have the chance.

When we arrived we only found that we are the only "other" guests for the night, there was a wedding booked at the venue and although I stated that we would like dinner, it was not possible, we had to drive to town, On Sunday morning when we went for breakfast at 7am as per their info booklet they told us only from 8am and we had to leave without breakfast - no discount! :(

As part of our road trip from Pretoria, through the Northern and Western Capes we spend the night at the lodge. The venue hosts a number of business functions and weddings. We were fortunate to have the lodge mainly to ourselves on the night. A little mixup with the bookings, which might have been my fault but they helped us immediately and made no issue of the problem. Thank you.

The food was good, prices for the dinner are very reasonable but the game drives are rather pricey if you want to view some of the more exotic wildlife that they have available.

Rooms are clean, well looked after and the staff are friendly.

All in all, a great stay and they will more than likely see me again if I'm passing through.

Thanks Johan for the great hospitality.

Despite a lack of communication when we booked this Lodge turned out to be a jewel in the Kalahari. Wonderful food, best staff and excellent service. Indian reindeer grazing on the lawn and begging scraps of food are awesome.

It was wonderful to experience the quiet luxury of the Kalahari Bush. Our Christmas dinner was delightful and special. This is the ideal place for a quiet get away with the green lawns and the wildlife. The tame Reindeer
was a bonus! This will become one of our most visited places in Kuruman!

We visited the restaurant only as we were staying in Kuruman, the firdt impression was "wow" as you walk in!!
The staff are well trained which appears to be continuous as a close eye was kept by the manageress.
Food wise again quite a range on the menu, very well presented and very tatsy, We were not aloud to miis out on the sweet!! So we shared one between us and it was to die for!! "Chocolate Heaven" according to my wife!!
We would highly recommend a visit and the costs for dinner was very respectable.
Also the accomodation cost seem very reasonable when we enquired.
Will certainly visit again when we visit the Kgalagadi, as this is a nice mid drive stop from Johannesburg>
