I stayed at this lodge on my way to and from the Kgalagidi transfrontier Park, both nights a Thursday a week apart. The accommodation is good clean and not to expensive, we booked 6 months in advance and when we got there on the first Thursday there was no booking but they had room. The Restaurant 'Die Boom' was reasonably priced but from ordering to getting the food in front of you took two hours!!!! The Bar was very busy both nights and played music louder than in most Disco's ( no dance floor though) and it went onto 1.30 the next morning which meant it was like having a disco in your own room and no chance of sleeping. When I complained to the receptionist they said they knew but the bar and Restaurant are owned by different people and many customers had complained but the owner of the Hotel had not done anything about it. I would not stop here again until it is sorted out both nights were the same and spoilt the next days for us.

My diverse group stayed at Shomatobe for 3 nights during July 2019. We were comfortable and our all our needs were met. Marelize and her staff went out of their way to accommodate all our needs, helping to organise new tyres and crystal shopping adventures and wood for the fires we made every night. We are all looking forward to return soon. Thank you so much.

We camped there for the weekend. On the first night the pub played loud music and the pub visitors came to the camp site to continue the noise play music and spin their cars until the early hours of the next morning. Having no rest that night and spoiling the next day for us.
The next day it was visitors in the chalets. Which they at least sorted out after we complained.
But this is not the type of camping experience that I ever want to repeat. If you drove a long way and want to rest during the night I would not recommend this place.

Nice place to stay in kuruman with decently equipped condos. The lodge has a pub which can get crowded (and noisy)at times . The pool was not being cleaned for a while which made it unusable - other than that I enjoyed the stay.
