So, Kuruman is not the greatest little town in South Africa, but it was our stopover town on our way to Namaqualand. So we were pleasantly surprised by Die Mynhuis, so much so that we have stayed there several times since. The hostess is super friendly, offering you coffee or a drink as soon as you arrive. We decided to have dinner there as well (at a very reasonable extra cost), and on our way there the owner phoned us to ask us what we would like for dinner. We told her that she can surprise us... what we got was a three course home-cooked meal that we couldn't even finish. The food there is first-rate! The establishment is themed and styled according to mines... each room named after a Northern Cape Mine. We stayed in 'Black Rock', the honeymoon suit, and it was spacious and beautiful. Our bathroom had both a big shower and lovely bathtub! Would highly recommend this establishment to everyone!

Ps... the breakfast are out of the world as well!

This was my first stay at this B&B . Henzen met me as I drove into the property . I was immediately made to feel welcome by Henzen's friendly manner and openess . I was showed my room which was spotless and neatly decorated . I was offered the option of supper but declined due to other plans. Their is an aircon in the room as well as DStv with more than enough channels to keep one occupied. The cushions and bed was extremely comfortable and I had a great nights rest after a long travel .

Breakfast was amazing , their were cereals but I have it a pass , I had fruit salad freshly prepared with yogurt . The moer- Coffee was a high light . Breakfast was well prepared and was more than enough with toast and a range of jams . While having breakfast Henzen and I chatted like we have known each other for a long time . Will I be back , most definitely , if you want to experience the true friendliness of the Northern Cape then don't miss out when you visit Kuruman and get to stay over here , it is a home away from home
