We arrived during the early evening and was met by a very friendly host and delicious food served in a neat dining room. Thereafter we were treated with a hot bath in a huge tub and comfortable beds. Open sliding windows allowed a fresh breeze and a magnificent view of the sunrise over the Namibian bush. We were served a delicious breakfast before continuing our journey to Etosha.

The family who runs the guesthouse and campsite is very friendly and welcoming. We were camping originally, but when caught in a storm they were very helpful in getting us safely indoors. The campsite has very spacious pitches and are equipped with a braai area and stone table. Shared ablutions are well kept and clean. The only thing missing was shade. The campsites would really benefit if the pitches had a shady roof to sit under when the desert sun blazes.
The guesthouse rooms all have their own theme and are clean and comfortable.
As it is also a butchery, they sell their own meat. The braaipack and chilli sticks are absolutely delicious and definitely recommend.

The beauty of the landscape is only surpassed by the wonderful souls and service of the Namgate owners and family.

If one's vehicle has to have a breakdown in the middle of nowhere, this is a good place for it to happen. Altus and Phillipus from Namgate drove 100 km to where we were stranded to pick us up and towed the Jeep 100 km back to the lodge. They not only brought drinking water but also a wonderful home cooked meal which was delivered hot. We could enjoy it while Altus and Phillipus attended to our vehicle. And the food is reason enough for a return visit.

We were a family of parents, grandparents and two teenagers, who divided up into two large and comfortable rooms. We were welcomed and helped with advice on current road conditions and other travel information. We were able to braai and prepare our own food in the very spacious dining area and there was a (public) fridge/freezer for our use. Having a butchery on site, with a variety of meats, yummy breads, ice creams and other things was super! The place is absolutely beautiful with stunning views and a priceless peacefulness.

Namgate is a great overnight lodge when travelling between Cape Town and Windhoek. The service is very good. We did not eat but the food looked good. The rooms are clean and we'll set up. The campsites are a bit bare with no shade but would be ok for a one night stop. Shared ablutions.
Price is good.

Lovely lovely establishment, with a friendly reception. .. Huge rooms with comfy beds. Delicious homemade dinner, absolutely great after a long days drive. I would definitely go there again when I'm lucky enough to go back to Namibia.
