Bua River Lodge is located within Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve which sits beneath the Chipata Mountain. This is one of Malawi's last unexploited wildernesses, where a vast network of rivers weaves its way through wooded hills, nourishing the dense miombo forests that make up this unique ecosystem. Bua River Lodge is the ideal place to enjoy ‘forest bathing’ by offering a selection of safari tents chalets built right among the trees and along the river. The river attracts many animals including elephants, buffalo, waterbuck, monkeys and crocodiles, as well as an abundance of birds from the small malachi kingfisher to the majestic fish eagle.
