We stayed in Sani woods in June for 2 weeks...first the only one positive, the pool area is beautiful and is surrounded by beautiful trees. this would have been so relaxing but on the negative side you are beside a road with traffic passing and also right beside us they were finishing off new apartments so there was building works going on everyday and was extremely noisy and almost impossible to relax with that going on. the rooms are a major major let down. when we arrived Anna showed us to our room, it was so small, very dark and not very inviting and there was a terrible damp smell in the room. the floor, which is concrete, was wet and almost never dried. the bathroom was tiny. it was terrible. the shower was broken off the wall knocking us on the head a few times wile taking a shower as it keep falling off the wall. WORST of all was the bed, it was the the most uncomfortable bed. it wasnt big enough for 2 people and was extremely hard and uncomfortable. there was no mirror in the bedroom, there was only one mirror over the sink in bathroom. no iron etc in room and no safe. There was a terrible fusty mouldy smell in the food cupboards and cutlery drawers.. all that separates you from the apartment next door is a locked door in the centre of your room, you can hear every single word of peoples conversations in the apartments next to you if they even move or speak in the apartment you can hear it and due to this noise we never had one decent nights sleep in the whole 2 weeks... what was supposed to be a very relaxing holiday was anything but, it was a waste of money and we are sorry to say we wouldnt stay there again.

The room ---- We booked a standard apartment for 12 days. We got apartment no. 2. The room was a dark and uninviting. There was just one bigger window and two very dim lights on one side of the room. No lights at the ceiling and no real reading lights. No pictures at the wall or any kind of decoration. The stove was rusty and dirty. The bed was a nightmare. Thin and uncomfortable mattress. The bed itself was a shaky metal frame. The bathroom was very simply. The was no shower cabin or even a shower curtain. Just a drain in the middle of the room and a hose with a shower head. The mirror was dirty. The service and bussiness attitude ----- We had bad luck and a storm hit Kassandra on the very first day of our stay. As a result we had no power, no fresh water, no toilet. 1st Day We were told that power will be restored within the next few hours, latest next day. 2nd Day Still no power or water. At that we had no shower for more than 48 hours. After two days of waiting we asked the management for an alternative accomodation or we would have to leave. We asked the operating company (Emira Resorts & Hotels) by phone, email and we even contacted booking.com. The answer always was that they do not offer an alternative accomodation (as power would be back soon). So we decided to leave. 5 Days later(!) They send us another email telling us that power is back and we should continue our stay which of course made no sense as we found another accomodation on our own cost in the meantime We had to pay the total amount of nearly 1400€ before we even have seen the room. As of today wo got not one cent refunded. Instead they offered us a voucher valid for 3 night. Overall impression ----- The pictures on booking and on their webpage seem to be fake. At least apartment no. 2 doesn't look nearly like that. The bed was very uncomfortable. The bathroom is a shame. The business attitude is extremly unfriendly.

I chose Sani Woods because it is part of Ermia hotels but it turned out to be a very bad choice for us. Last year we stayed at Villa Thea in Nefeli and we were very pleased, this year we chose Sani Woods-Ermia. We are still here when I write this comment and it is for the second time in two days when we do not have water..... Which is not possible, nor has it ever happened to me in over twenty years since I travel to Greece. The accommodation is not great, the constructions are not very well finished and maintained, the windows very dirty, not close, extremely many mosquitoes and flies (it is not possible not to make aviochemical treatments for this problem especially as in this period the Mosquito West Nile is a problem in Greece). We are very disappointed, we do not recommend the location and the water problem has ruined our vacation.

We came here not knowing what to expect, the reviews were outstanding and we are fussy when it comes to hotels. We arrived at the hotel by a private transfer, which is totally worth the extra cost. We arrived before the rush of everyone else on the bus. We were greeted outside and taken personally into the hotel and taken to the reception desk, where we were met with a class of sparkling wine and personally looked after. We were told all about the hotel, facilities, restaurant and map. We went up to our room with was B560 and it was so lovely, we had a partial garden view. The room was immaculate, clean beautifully decorated and well equipped. After the first night, I was really struggling with a spring in the mattress. The next morning we went to reception and asked if there was anything they could do, within a few hours we had a new mattress and a bottle of wine as an apology. The next day they kindly offered us a room upgrade which was B119 and WOW! This room was a suite and it was stunning, it had a lounge with a room that was separate, it had two stunning bathrooms. It made the holiday to be honest, the room was just divine. We will be requesting that room when we go back it will be worth the extra money for sure. The general manager called to ensure we were ok and if we needed anything else and it really was above and beyond. Food wise, it's perfect. We went full board which was breakfast, lunch and dinner. This included water with each of those but anything else you're charged. We ate in THE VERANDA RESTAURANT every morning and every evening for dinner as it's peaceful a lovely atmosphere, the hostess which forgive me I didn't get her name she was a lovely blond lady. She was so friendly and professional. SO a thank you to her. At lunch time the THE VERANDA RESTAURANT is closed so we went to the main buffet restaurant POSEIDON RESTAURANT. This restaurant has a massive selection of food which caters for everyone, as much as the selection is amazing, if you don't have children it's very chaotic and busy. Luckily the host staff are aware of you if you don't have children and place you in the far corner where it's children free. The gym on site is a well equipped gym, weights, smith machine, three treadmills, cross trainer, stepper and other cable machines. The beach at Sani Beach, is absolutely stunning. The water is crystal clear and shallow enough for children to go in without a worry. The sun loungers all have fresh towels where they are rolled out for you. The beach is kept clean and spotless. On the beach there is WIFI and wait service. We stayed by the beach most days as it's too good to miss. The pool which is the infinity pool has an adult only section so that was the other place we stayed. Each evening we walked down to the Marina which is a short walk where there is lots of other beautiful restaurants and the boats and yachts down there are out of this world. As you can see it could not have been a better holiday. The only thing we hadn't anticipated was the amount of families and children at the hotel, as a couple without children it could be a lot at times. But as a hotel, facilities and staff it's a solid 10/10! Thank you for making our holiday what we hoped for and needed.
