I’ve not reviewed a holiday online before but felt compelled after the excellent stay we’ve just had during the mad time’s we are currently living in!

After going to Forte in Sardinia for the last two years we decided to try somewhere new and Sani did not disappoint. We booked in January 2020 and had no idea of what the rest of the year was about to bring 😬😔

We arrived on the 3rd of August for a two week stay in Porto Sani, very nervous after lockdown and also not knowing what to expect in terms of social distancing and Covid protocol. However, our nerves soon dissipated as we were take for Covid testing by a Dr in a segregated area before being allowed in the resort. All staff were wearing masks and the resort was spotless with lots of hand sanitizers. Once the tests came back negative we were taken to our room. All staff throughout the resort wore masks, servers wore gloves and anyone entering the resort was temperature checked. Due to this, guests were not required to wear masks in the resort other than in shops. I honestly felt safer there than in the U.K!!!!

Porto had a 30 million refurb during the winter of 2019 so everything was new and modern. We stayed in a Junior ground floor suite overlooking the pool and is was perfect for us and our two girls aged 7 and 10.

The whole resort is set in beautiful landscaped grounds, it’s amazingly clean and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble for them, special thanks to George our poolside waiter, Fillipos the head of food and beverage and Dimitrios who took me on a complementary private excursion (Volvo tour). Plus our personal receptionist Ioanna (contactable by WhatsApp for anything we needed - nice touch!👍🏻) who would book restaurants, yoga classes, boat hire etc and was so helpful.

There are so many nice touches that this resort provides for free; bottled water around the pool and on the beach. Free fruit and ice creams at certain times of the day, the aerial adventure park and the many fitness and yoga classes. At Forte we were used to paying for EVERYTHING! 😆

The yoga was brilliant (I’ve been practising for 12 years) and the location overlooking the sea, with a very experienced Vinyasa flow teacher was a joy each day.

The beaches and sea are gorgeous as you would expect from Greece.

Finally, the food and restaurants are excellent. Lots of choice for all tastes. Tomata is unreal, I think we ate there about 8 times for lunch and dinner during our stay. Also really liked Katsu (Japanese) and the Michelin star
Spanish restaurant El Porto!

It’s not cheap but worth every penny and we have already booked for next year. Hopefully the world will be in a better place come 2021 but even if it’s not, a holiday at Sani will still be amazing!

Our wonderful experience started with a complimentary airport transfer. Theodore our driver was kind and welcoming. The minibus was modern, clean and extremely comfortable and it was a smooth journey.
We were welcomed into the main hotel entrance which is lavish, elegant and so clean it actually sparkles. Due to the current pandemic we had to undergo a finger prick Covid test (just the adults). This was done privately, quickly and we had the results in less than 10 minutes while we waited on the terrace with drinks brought by the extremely polite front of house staff.
We were then transferred over to Porto Sani. My first impression of the reception was just wow! The decor is beautiful, the beautiful smell and general ambience is top class! The staff are so friendly and polite and nothing is too much trouble for them as we found out during the duration of our stay.
We had our welcome drinks at the Breeze bar which overlooks the lovely pool. Amazing cocktails and smoothies for the kids.
Our room (a 2 bedroom suite) was absolutely stunning. Clean, bright and modern it took our breath away. It has a beautiful private garden where we relaxed for a couple of hours every day while our daughter napped. Everything is finished to such a high standard and all of the accessories from the citrusy shower gel to the fluffy white towels are so luxurious.
The beds are so comfortable and we all slept soundly.
The housekeeping staff are so efficient and everything is so clean. They are so friendly and always say hello. They are so fast that when you finish breakfast and return to your room it is already tidy and clean!
My husband and I both had massages at the spa which we thoroughly enjoyed.
One of the absolute highlights for us was the childcare. Our 5 year old and 2 year old absolutely loved the Melissa kids clubs. The staff were so lovely, fun, vibrant and friendly. Always with a smile on their faces. The activities are varied and change daily. The kids will really miss them.
Another highlight is Bosoulas beach, it’s stunning! Soft golden sand and turquoise water. It’s like a postcard.
The food and dine around option is really good value and every meal we had was really tasty. Again, the staff were outstanding and always friendly and welcoming.
The swimming pools are glorious. The setting and attention to detail with the landscaping of the gardens and variety of the plants is outstanding.
I’m just sad we couldn’t stay for longer!

We just got home from a wonderful 10 day stay at Porto Sani Hotel. We felt Covid safe thanks to the hotel testing us on arrival, and it put our minds at ease that all guests were tested. It also helped that the resort was very clean and with extra precautions like staff wearing masks etc.

The hotel has recently been refurbished and this was apparent to us - the rooms are furnished very nicely and the whole resort looked great and was very fresh.

Facilities for young families were brilliant, we made use of the kids club once for a morning which she seemed to enjoy. A few times we also dropped our daughter into the crèche on the beach for 30 mins at lunchtime, which was a great freebie.

The food was a real highlight, lots of really nice Greek restaurants, plus Spanish, Italian and others. We’ve stayed at quite a few family resorts in recent years in Dubai and Europe and haven’t found anywhere with such great food across the board.

The pools are nice and set up well for little ones, with each pool progressively deeper. My only reservation here was that the stone slabs at the pool edges were quite slippy when wet. We ended up putting footwear on our two year old around the pool as she fell over a couple of times.

All in all a wonderful stay and we will be returning next year!

This is our 9th summer at Porto Sani and I cannot recommend it highly enough. We have actually been over 12 times over the past 10 years and we keep coming back!

The hotel and its’ amazing staff (special mention to Ethermis, Christina, Babis, Anna, in fact too many to mention all, all led by their wonderful general manager Stalkis) have managed to make the resort feel totally Covid19 safe without compromising on their attention to detail or spectacular service.
Every guest arriving must either show a covid-free certificate on arrival or be subject to quick and efficient testing.
The pool areas are all new and comfy sun loungers spaced out so each family has their own area. The pool staff have been very helpful.
The housekeeping team are fantastic and our room has been cleaned immaculately. All the rooms have been refurbished to a high standard. With very good storage space.
The breakfast menu has everything we have previously enjoyed from the buffet and is served directly to the table. My kids particularly enjoyed the Nutella special order donuts!
The new Spanish restaurant at Porto - El Puerto is amazing as are all the restaurants around The marina. The dine around formula allows you to experience all the restaurants, I am sure this is unique to Sani as I have not experienced this anywhere else in the world.
We particularly loved macaroni, And Tomata with fresh fish cooked on the Bbq In front of you.
My kids loved the Sani Adventure Park, the water sports, the kids club. The freedom we have them to ride their bikes around the Marina. We have all relaxed and been made to feel totally safe and looked after. Best family resort in the Mediterranean!

We have just been at the Porto Sani resort for over 10 days with our whole family of children and grandchildren.
We are all in consensus that this is one of the best resorts we have ever been in.
Since we arrived in the period of the COVID-19 pandemic we wanted to make sure that the staff adheres to all the required regulations and precautions. We found that they are extremely strict and take very serious attention to every detail. All staff are with masks all the time and are constantly cleaning everything with specialized cleansing materials.

The resort in on a small marine of yachts by the sea. It has all the sports facilities, including pools, some specific for toddlers, work out facilities, an abundant amount of bicycles for all ages, tennis courts, an adventure park etc.

The resort has 22 restaurants of all kinds, one better than the other enabling people to have different types of cuisine for every meal.

The staff is extremely gracious, friendly and helpful. We could not have expected better service than we were offered. This was true at room the reception, room service, the restaurants and at the pool and beaches. I could have elaborated on each restaurant individually, but this would have made this report far too long.

We also used their SPA, which was immaculate. The various treatments we had were of the highest standard.

Their beaches are unbelievably beautiful.
We specifically loved the Bussla beach, which also has a wonderful bar overlooking the islands and the sea below, enabling to have great cocktails at sunset.

All in all in has been one of the most memorable family vacations.

I would highly recommend this resort to anyone.

Traveling during the pandemic is not easy! But now, looking back to our amazing stay at Porto Sani I must stay that it was a 100% correct decision.
From the moment that you enter the area of the resort all worries go away! First you stop for a quick antibody test and 20 minutes later you are already at the lobby of the fully renovated Porto Sani Hotel.
Every single stuff member is wearing a mask (They wear it whole day without taking it off for even a minute, at least We never so a stuff member without a mask) anti sanitizers on every corner, and they even disinfect your luggage upon arrival.
In general a great job has been done to create a safe and relaxing atmosphere where you can totally forget about Covid.

Great rooms, tasty food , Greek sun and a professional stuff combined are making the Sani Resort our new TOP 1 destination for the upcoming vacations!

We would like especially to mention Haik from guest relations, who made our stay one of a kind. He was always there for us and always knew what We need.

Thank you all and stay safe! See you next year!

Porto Sani is truely an amazing hotel. From the minute you arrive you are completly looked after. I had read numerous reviews on the resort before we went and was also in constant contact with the concierge (via watsapp) which is a fantatsic idea, as this was our first holiday in 18 months so wanted everything to be perfect for both myself and my Husband and our 2 children (ages 3 and 7). I can honeslty say we could not find fault with anything in the hotel. We booked all of our restaurants in advance, and changed a few when we arrived via the concierge. I would highly advise to book in advance. My little boy is particulary fussy on holiday and likes to eat really basic, if something he wanted was not on the menu, like a tomato pasta the chefs were happy to make. All food was amazing for adults and children.
The rooms were perfect and a fantastic size for my family with a great balcony to sit out on. The Supermarket on site is also fantastic selling all amenities and toys which you can just charge to the room and pay on departure, which is fantastic as you do not need to carry money around you simply charge everything to the room.
The beach was spotless and staff always available to bring water and towels.
The pool service was exceptional, towels readily availaible, constant bottled water, and you could also order lunch around the pool which was great for us with 2 children who wanted to stay in the pool. The staff around the pool were extremely helpful.
The shows were brilliant!!
I hoenslty could not fault the resort, plenty for the children to do ( no large splash pool or anything like that, however it is not that kind of busy hotel)
Pools were heated and felt so lovely you could easily just step in without feeling cold.
One of the cleanest resorts i have been and can not wait to go back and experience the luxury all over again.
Special thankyou to all the staff who are running such a fantastic hotel.

I have booked the Porto Sani in Chalkidiki for the first time and was there with my two kids in July 2020. From the booking and the nice welcome until the stay and the good buy everything was perfect. We were a bit afraid traveling in COVID-19 times but choose Sani and Greece on purpose since the didn`t have high numbers of infections during COVID-19 times.
The whole experience especially for the kids topped everything and we loved it from the very beginning on. The nice welcome of Sofia who always took care of us and asked us how we are and especially how the kids are as well as the support if we had any kind of questions, next to the club car service and the whats app availability if there are any questions is outstanding!
The pool was very well clean and safe since a lifeguard was looking at it as well. We could get sanitizer everywhere and masks but after getting tested on COVID-19 during the entrance of our stay we didn´t have to wear the masks anymore just the employees did and it felt really safe at any stage.
The beaches are outstanding with their cristal clear water and the kids did love the kids club since I could take some tome off for myself swimming or going to the gym or just relax to be fit for them being back from the kids club again.
It was not only a great experience we always felt very welcome and supported at any time. We did love the restaurant El Puerto with excellent food but of course the many different other restaurants are great to choose from as well.
It was our first time at Sani but surely not the last and even in these challenging times they all do a great job and really care about you as a guest.
Special thanks to Sofia and Roman from the Beach Bar you are awesome! You might our valuable time of holidays even better and gave us a very special feeling throughout our entire stay. We loved being there and come back thanks again for a special heartwarming time we were able to experience at Porto Sani.
The diving center is special too and my son was so happy that we booked nearly every day a diving course since they were really great with lots of experience making this special and fun to him. Especially Marek is a great diving instructor and we will surely come back to do more dives here.
It was amazing, fun, special and heartwarming thanks to the great people that fill this outstanding resort with lots of love and special treatment for the guests.

Another brilliant stay at Sani, this time at Porto Sani. Once you'd been declared Covid free after your test at Sani Beach hotel, you're taken to PS and you take off your mask, which you don't put on again until you get to the airport. Staff are tested every few days and knowing that everyone around you is Covid free makes such a difference. The buffet of dreams are closed, but everything is available a la carte - with side tables available at breakfast if your table isn't big enough. It's less busy than usual (about 60% capacity) so towels on sunbeds at 7am isn't needed this year. PS has been refurbed this year so everything is in tip top condition, from the restaurants, general areas and rooms. The indoor pool is closed and there's no evening entertainment, but the kids club is open and led by James, the club manager from Sani Club, with a team of happy helpers. All the staff are as welcoming as usual, and thanks to Atanas, Boris, Maike, Kiki and Roi in Artemis who made our stay so enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for a better holiday. Now we have to decide between Club and PS for next year...

This review is slightly late however, I am hoping someone finds it useful. We stayed at Porto Sani during the last week of Oct 2020 and as usual, I have nothing to report but positive feedback all round.

Having tried Sani Beach and Sani Dunnes in the past, we decided to try Porto this time around mainly because, it had just been recently renovated and I have to say it did not disappoint. Everything looked spotless and luxurious as expected.

Suites were very spacey & plush, outdoor pools were nice and clean (indoor pool was closed due to covid) and the great thing about Porto Sani is the location as, it is right in the middle of the resort so you can get to the other parts of the resort quite easily.

Now onto the best part – The Staff. They truly make this place magical and it’s unfortunate I can’t name everyone who made our stay enjoyable so, I am just going to give special shouts to few folks like, Spyros who was our magnificent driver during our complimentary Volvo excursion. He was came across very articulate even with a mask on, detailing the high lights of every area we stopped at. You could tell he absolutely enjoys his job and the enthusiasm he displayed made the trip an even better experience. Alexandros at the pool was always around to assist and also ask how your day was going. Alexandria who worked at Artemis was always pleasant and took time to explain the menu options. Harriet & Nico at Sani Dunnes who are familiar faces and still welcomed us with warm greeting albeit again through a mask. It was a pleasure speaking to Harriet who seemed to take pride in getting to know the guest and, the restaurant Nico manages ‘The Market’ is one of my favourite and so we were treated like returning friends (not just guests)

Last but not least Kudus. Am sure if you’ve visited Sani Beach at least once (or twice) you would have crossed paths with the ever smiling, all cheerful Kudus. Any questions we had or requests, Kudus would just respond with ‘leave with me’ and always delivered or knew someone who could help. He was also able to help us with wine selection and give recommendations on what to do during our stay this time around (i.e. Adventure Park). He is truly an asset to the Sani Org & always goes the extra mile. In fairness all the staff are awesome people and this is from the housekeeping ladies, to the gardeners and the buggy drivers. They all say hello when they see you and I get this feeling that as part of their training, they are not meant to say the word NO to guests. Not sure I have ever heard that word because they will always try and find a way and even if they can’t, they explain in such a way that doesn’t leave you disappointed.

I just booked our trip for Oct 2021 & we are returning to Porto Sani once more. Creature of habit one might say but, I figure if it ain’t broke don’t fix. See you soon Sani.

Hi. Is the hotel directly on the beach or is it a walk away?

Hello! The Porto Sani is situated in a beautiful coastal area, but it is not directly on the beach. The hotel is located approximately 400 meters (about a 5-minute walk) from the beach. However it offers easy access to the shoreline, and you can enjoy the sandy beaches and the crystal-clear waters of the Aegean Sea within a short walking distance from the hotel.

If you want the nicer hotel, stay at Porto. If you want to be closer to the beaches, playground, and general family amenities then stay at Beach. Not that Porto is far from the beaches. All are only a stones throw away, but Sani Beach is the closest to all the kid friendly amenities as it’s regarded as the ‘family hotel’. My family and I have stayed at both. We found the Sani Beach hotel too noisy so prefer Porto Sani. The customer Service at Porto Sani is first class too btw. It’s the more expensive hotel, but you get what you pay for. But that said, the whole of the Sani resort is exceptional. You shouldn't be disappointed wherever you stay.

Definitely pre-book at least a few dinner reservations in advance. Just about all the restaurants are child friendly and will serve pasta or chips or pizza, or all three.

I wondered if anyone could advise on the temperature in the evenings at the moment (May 2023)? I’m visiting with my young children next week but can’t find the exact location on the weather apps
