I had a very nice stay in a comfortable room. The bed was cozy and linens were clean. Everything seemed to be clean. It's an older hotel so it def shows its age a bit but overall I was happy with my stay. I also enjoyed a nice breakfast in the restaurant.

Stayed here at Canadian Motor Motel about September 2018,came for Medical Appointment at Sault St. Maries Local Hospital.Switched to Canadian Motel from Bel Air Motel, due to Room Issues and rude Motel Owners.

Our stay was good for overnight/,Room was clean and beds were comfortable, all staff acted professional, very nice large huge bar,had few cold drinks, came back later the bar was almost fully packed with customers ,bar accomidates about 150 customers,it was very busy that evening, ordered large Pizza for our room, taken 45 min, price was reasonable for pizza,it was good, hot and tasty, bartentresses were great smiling and friendly.

The maintenance staff(emotionally challenged person) cursed at us before we even entered the building. He told us not to bother going in, that he wasn't the boss but there was NO way he was fixing anything to allow for ANOTHER room rental. He was loud, aggressive, and verbally threatening. My husband uses a cane and wheelchair, and on this day he was struggling with his cane and almost fell (in the tragedy of a excuse they call a parking lot), trying to put space between himself and the maintenance worker (Bald, tattooed, dirty clothes).
My husband mumbled about discrimination and we went to another establishment.
Please find a better way to spend your money, I hear tents are cheap!

I'm sorry you had an unpleasant experience with us. The hotel was experiencing water problems and the owner was checking to see which rooms were affected, he knocked but you probably couldn't hear because you were in the shower. We apologize the situation could have been handled better, and will be handled better in the future.

I stayed in this hotel for a week in July 2013. The room had a odour, which I overlooked due to the price. The room had 2 double sized beds which had no issues. The cleaning staff did not believe in knocking on the door prior to entering at 8am, so I had to leave my lock on. Of course they wont clean your room for the day because the lock was on. It would make more sense to clean the rooms after checkout, but this was not the case. On my last day in the room, there was a flood and my bathroom was filled with water coming out of the toliet and bath tub. Also, in the morning they had shut off the hot water and I could not have a shower or wash up. They offered me 2 breakfast vouchers for my trouble, which was a nice gesture. However, trying to use them is another story. I went to the restaurant was nickel and dimed by the staff for everything on the menu. All in all, I would not recommend this hotel or restaurant as there are numerous other places to stay in Sault Ste. Marie at resonable rates.

Absolutely disgusting. Would not let my dog stay there. Way over priced for what you get. The ceiling plaster was falling. My wife saw roaches running down the hall. Staff was pleasant. They refunded full price when we decided that we would not stay there. Avoid at all costs.

Room had a funky smell. Towels had black smudges. Restaurant is par at best.
Service was ok no complaints whatsoever about that. The location is decent.

The cleanliness really turned me off. After I saw the towels I was every nervous to sleep in the bed.

We were quite worried when we pulled up to this motel as it looked pretty rough, but the lady on reception was extremely friendly and helpful and check-in was painless. The room had a bit of a damp smell to it, but despite what we were expecting from initial impressions, it was actually spotlessly clean. The beds were ok and the shower was nice and powerful. This is a pretty cheap option for a one night stopover in an area with loads of restaurants to choose from, however there is no way we would have stopped here for more than one night. We got in pretty late and left very early, and for that it was a really convenient and economical stop.

Pretty basic in rooms and service but passable, and fair value for money. Handy location and not noisy. Convenient to have a restaurant on site and their food was pretty good with better service than the motel offered.
