The location is great, room was very clean and had everything we needed. The owners put extra towels and toiletries in the room because we are a family of 4 which was so kind! The indoor pool is situated just behind the motel with an interlocking path to lead the way. There are change rooms, a shower and a sauna! We had a much better experience here than any other big name hotel. Stay at this motel, you won’t be disappointed!!

Very sweet and cozy accommodations. Room was clean and welcoming. Nice little touches that made us feel very at home ... including the extra towels that looked like they had been dropped off prior to our arrival. Staff were friendly and accommodating. No extra fees for pets!
We highly recommend!

Thank you, Kerry and Drake, for taking the time to write the review. We genuinely appreciate it. A lot of work goes into making sure that our guest feels comfortable and welcoming. When guests like you acknowledge it, it motivates the whole team consistently to deliver the best. We do charge extra for the pets. Thank you for recommending the motel, and we will look forward to seeing you in the future. Best Regards, Sunny & Raj

I wish all motels were like this one.

The buildings are made of brick & concrete blocks, not wood, and this does a fantastic job of stopping all road noise from entering the rooms. Although it is an older property, it has been fully modernized in every respect and the rooms are well decorated, well furnished, and equal to what you would find in the most expensive hotel in Sault Ste. Marie.

Fast internet, coffee in the rooms, nice linen & towels - you won't find a better place to stay than this.

On a long journey to Sault Ste. Marie it is always a warm welcome from the owners of the Ambrassdor Motel. We discovered this motel last year on our way to the west coast. We usually stayed at the Water Tower Hotel for the past several years but were not pleased with paying hotel rate plus $300 deposit. The rooms at the Ambrassdor are clean and comfortable. The new owners have been working hard to up grade this motel since taking over a few years ago. We were able to park our kia and boat in front of our room. We would recommend this motel and have.

Tucked away off a busy road, this motel offers the basic of a stay. Perfect for those traveling through, while the pool adds a whole level for those staying longer. Getting in and out during busy traffic is a breeze with the center turn lane in front of the motel. The rooms are clean and tidy. The pool is amazing with a shower, bathroom, change rooms and a dry sauna all in a separate building to avoid annoying other guests. The staff is upbeat, friendly and accommodating with reasonable requests. Without a doubt, we will be staying here again.

Second time staying here, it’s now my go to spot. Continues to show up on top for clean, helpful and always keeping things up to par. Plus just being off the highway in the room don’t really hear the traffic. Space to go for a walk or sit outside. Parking is great large space per vehicle in front of room.

The bathroom is dated but functions well. The toilet is very low. The mattresses are hard and lumpy. Nice private backyard. One level, don't have to use elevators. TV was also good. Close to restaurants and the city. Housecleaning wasn't available until after check-out due to Covid.

The owner was so friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. Prices were very reasonable and also pet friendly. There was an indoor pool on the property but we did not use it. Great outdoor space that we were able to sit outside either in the front or back and nice patio door leading to the pool and nice outdoor space. Quiet.

Super motel to stay at, especially if you are travelling with a dog. The staff are great and they are very pet friendly. The room was clean and lovely, with French doors at the back leading to a green space with chairs and picnic tables. Lots of space to let my dog play. I would highly recommend staying here.
