The rooms and furniture are dated and need upgrades (start with flooring and bathroom), but the grounds are nice, location is perfect and the staff were friendly. Walking distance to several restaurants and Walmart. Right beside DQ (could be good or bad). On main road heading north, but road noise was not a problem. Would stay here again.

Before we set out on our trip across the country, we thought to stay in "Mom-and-Pop-Motels" for the great Canadian experience but after this, our third, we had enough. Not that some of the chain motels/hotels were much better, but at least something good could be said about each one of them. Our room at the right end of the motel, had a very musky, un-aired smell. The carpet was stained beyond belief, the curtain was half hanging off the rod and I chose not to inspect the bedding too closely. The bathroom was very basic but looked clean. No shampoo or soap and no beakfast, either. I'd rather pay a few dollars more for a pleasant experience.

I stayed at the Skyline Motel when I visited Sault Saint Marie and in particular came to take the Agawa Train from there.

Skyline is a typical motel but the manager was very friendly and helpful with my questions. I asked if he could give me a wake up call and he did, though about 15 minutes late and I was up anyway. Still, super for a motel.

Wifi worked beautifully which was great since I wanted to send some emails since I had my computer. Free coffee in the room. A microwave and fridge as well. Bed was comfortable(no bugs)!! Very clean.

Would definately recommend to anyone who is passing through the Soo. It is about a 7 minute drive to the Agawa Train station which is in a mall. The hotels near the station are very expensive so this is a wonderful alternative to taking the Agawa train and visiting the Agawa Canyon and saving a bit of money. Room was $60.00.

Let’s just say I wish I could add more photos. Considering we are living through a pandemic I expect everyone is doing their part and keeping things extra clean. But my room didn’t even look like it was cleaned to normal standards. First off there was blood on my toilet paper roll. The cups weren't washed, one even looked used for an ash tray, the toilet wasn’t cleaned. There was left overs from the previous occupant in the fridge the heater was leaned against the wall not even properly attached (which I think is a fire hazard) the shower wasn’t cleaned there was hair all over from the last person and the soap scum build up in the shower was awful. I will be reporting to health authorities. Didn’t even spend the night.

This place was disgusting. Dirty, stunk of cannabis, carpets were filthy, damp and mouldy. A/C didn’t work. One coffee in a two-person room, one tiny bar of soap, one roll of toilet paper. Three towels for two people, which included the hand towel and face cloth. Argumentative front desk staff. Fought over everything. I wouldn't stay again even if it were free. Avoid at all costs!!

If we could rate no stars, this is what this motel would've received. My brother and I stayed here for 4 nights. The sheets were dirty from the previous guest, the blanket was caked with stains and stunk. There were no towels in the room. Every piece of furniture was caked with dust and floors were not swept or mopped. The bathroom was gross.
I had to clean and disinfect the bathroom myself. We had to ask for clean sheets and a clean blanket. They did come in and change them the next day. We had to ask for clean towels every day and bring them the dirty ones. They didn't come in once to change the sheets, make the beds, dust, clean the bathroom or empty the garbage. The pillows and towels smelled of curry. Being that I have worked in hotels and motels previously, to say I was disgusted with the lack of cleanliness and service is an understatement. This whole place is in dire need of attention from the grounds and curb appeal to the cleanliness and update of the rooms. We did not see one chambermaid or grounds keeper during our stay. We will not stay here ever again nor would we recommend anyone to stay here.

Making a trip from Northern Ontario down to Bruce county with husband and my dog. We decided to stay in Sault Ste. Marie the night and the only available hotel was this one. Caution if you have allergies to mold. We stayed in room #6. The floors were stained, mold in bathroom (bathtub wall, bottom of sink) black and white. Walls were dirty, garbage under the bed left from other customers, coffee maker was dirty with dirty cups. Sheets on one bed were either stained or not changed. I’m confident that if the Heath unit was called this place would be unsuitable and shut down.

Only reasonably priced place available on this night so we were stuck unless we spent the night in the car. Room # 14 had mold throughout and a dripping ceiling that had recent wood paneling instead of ceilng tiles? Bathroom was perpetually wet with a gummed up hair dryer. The room door didn't open without force and there was a 2" gap from the door knob to the edge so your hurt your hand trying to shut the door. The inside was very dirty, the outlets not close to any appliances and the heater didn't work. And the price was extremely poor value - A rip-off really. OK, the bed was fairly comfortable - at least much better than the car.. And, they did give us a heater!!

The most awful room. Next to the garbage spewing every where. Drug addicts coming through the parking lot. The room wasn't clean we wouldn't even sleep in the bed slept on top. There was used soap left in the shower so we wouldn't use that either. Just awful

Horrible. Room was filthy and smelled awful. Tried to turn on air conditioning to freshen it up and got a face full of dust. Bathroom walls were so dirty and there were no towels. Went to office to complain and everything was locked up, no one to be found and it was only two in the afternoon. There was another guy behind me wanting to complain about the same issues, he said he was going to call them but the phone in his room didn't even have a cord ... I'm not a fussy person, but this place was so bad I left and lost $105.

I think so. I never needed to use one though and stayed at many hotels this summer. It is near several restaurants and a grocery store.
