If I could give zero I would give. The rooms are dirty, stinky, broken. I got a non-smoke room, and the walls were brown just like the pillows because of the smoke. I wanted to leave, they offered another room. It was better, but still creepy. I didn`t sleep too much, and left asap in the morning. I made a huge mistake not reading the reviews here and on google.

Sliced my foot open on the metal bed-frame that was sticking out of bed about 2 feet. Rooms are absolutely disgusting, bed bugs and blood stains plus smelled like cigarette smoke everywhere in the room. There was no toilet paper, hair left in the sink and tub and piss all over the walls and toilet. The bathroom window was taped up with confetti gift wrapping paper and heat was on in bathroom which you could not turn off. Stay away from this place at all costs.

This is a dump! ‘Negative’ stars but that isn’t an option. Do not stay. We spent a night across the street at the Catalina, which was really nice. Tried to stay again but there was no vacancy, so instead reserved a room at the Satellite - should have gone with my gut! Office was a mess and no attendant, and apparently no reservation?? Was eventually offered a room but the rate was uncertain. The room was awful-sheets dirty on uncomfortable mattresses, washroom was disgusting - toilet broken/bathtub gross, no bulbs in the lamps, floors dirty and curious stains on the walls… The walls are also paper thin and we could hear everything going on in neighbouring rooms - which seemed to be rented out by the ‘half hour’, if you understand the meaning… this place has zero upkeep/maintenance.

Very friendly staff. Affordable and clean. Nice renovations including new carpets. Pmently of parking for motorcycle groups. Close to alot of amenities including restaurants and shopping. Good location for travelers. Would come back

We stopped over in Sault Ste. Marie overnight and stayed at the Satelite Motel. We booked in advance as this is the tourist season. Our check in was quick and the room was ready and clean. We were given a different room then we booked, as the WiFi was not working near the front of the Motel. This Motel does not offer breakfast or any other amenities, so if you just want a good nights rest, close to the Highway for a reasonable price, then this is the place.

Complete ignorance upon arrival stuck in room next to office I didn't sleep for the 48 hours I was there. The room stunk of a foul odour bed had black hair on sheet. The bathtub tiled are stained brown tub plug is disgusting . Mini fridge was dirty and didn't work. From 8pm when I checked in the full two day's non stop every 3-5inites was slam ng doors and toliet flushing every three minutes non stop then ignorant guest in room after my room 7:30 am standing outside loudly yelling to his buddy for a hour. Then another couple checks in hour after me their given a room far end of the building twice I heard someone try to get in my room at 4am. The next day of my stay the bed hadn't been changed and the towels weren't changed this place is extremely nasty and ignorant I paid for two days to sit up on a bed and not sleep I couldn't sleep because of all this every three minutes toliet and water going off from room of owner I should be given my money back

Needed a place to stay just for the night. This really wasn't a good choice. Room was not cleaned properly, room was not looked after, housekeeping staff were smoking in the rooms as they were cleaning in the morning. Had an overall dark and dodgy feel to the place. Do yourself a favour and don't even consider staying here

After reading lots of positive reviews on another booking site, plus a reasonable price for a couple of queen beds and a bathroom, we pre-booked this motel as a stop on our way to Thunder Bay (dropping off my daughter for Lakehead U). When we arrived, walking into the office was like walking into a smokey bar ... it reeked of cigarette smoke. We were then informed that the toliet in our room had overflowed the day before, but they had vacuumed up as much water as they could, but the rug might be wet. I asked for a towel to lay across what I thought would be a minor damp spot. I was given an old smokey smelling white towel. Well, the "minor damp spot" was in fact a soaking wet, shag rug, taped to the bathroom floor. It should have been removed and replaced with a new one, or just been removed and have the tape scraped off the tile. That would have been fine. Instead, we had to lay the towel we were given over the rug. Within minutes it had soaked through and had turned brown! It was disgusting, and smelled smokey and musty. Two small bath towels were provided for a booking for three people (through this other site), so I had to go back to the smokey office, and get a few more smokey-smelling towels. Even the outside of the motel smelled of cigarettes. Our room was a "non-smoking" room, but the towels and the soaking wet rug added a very unpleasant odour. The decor was very dated, plastic still on the lampshades, only a few channels available on the TV, and the beds were doubles, not queens. The beds were comfortable enough, but the rest of the experience far outweighed that. Needless to say, we won't be back. We found a great place on our return trip though, so Sault Ste. Marie is not the ugly hole we thought based on out first experience at the Satelite.

We stayed at the Satelite Motel for 3 nights. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and well kept. Had a great time would stay there again. Room was a little out dated but for the price is to be expected. We had nice stay overall.

I'd like to keep this short and sweet. The place is a bit dirty ie/ dead bugs in windowsill, gross bed covers and sheets, dirt behind sink from not cleaning properly, lamps not working, phone not working. The people who own it are beyond HORRIBLE in any means of customer service ie/ refusing, then very reluctantly replacing sheets with blood stains on them, whilst yelling at us, & heating turned off in the middle of the night, so quite cold. water wasn't hot, water pressure wasn't good in shower, so after cold day, not the best. If you can avoid staying here, do that. If there is absolutely no where else to stay, it's fine, but the service makes it that much worse!!!
