Comfort, cleanliness, character... all wrapped in one. This beautiful manor home has been brilliantly transformed into a relaxing place to unwind and enjoy all the delights of a vineyard wrapped in a boutique inn. The views from the room were lovely and sunset over the vineyard was magical. Oysters and sparkling wine at the restaurant were a wonderful treat! The welcome drink upon arrival was a lovely touch, jumpstarting the getaway in the first few moments... Definitely will refer and will return.

Riverbend - The newest member of the Peller/Trius/etc group. Due to the Member's weekend, we opted to stay overnight at the Riverbend Inn. This is not, I repeat not, a cookie-cutter, impersonal hotel. This is a cozy, traditional Inn in the best senses of the word. Staff are friendly, welcoming, accommodating, and help to make the experience a cozy setting for your stay. But really, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the Oaklands Restaurant. Because as good as the food is at Trius and Peller's Restaurants, Riverbend edges them out. And you can walk home to your room. 1) 30 Bench Winemaker's Tasting and Lunch - Members Weekend Event As a devoted follower of 30 Bench wines, we looked forward to this with great anticipation. It still blew our minds. You were greeted with the sparkling Riesling. Then Emma presented a tasting of 2021 Chardonnay and Pinot Noir 2 each. Small lot and barrel-aged. Emma again surpassed herself by adding as much information as she could cram and adding greatly to our knowledge of how the barrels affect the wines, all the variables a winemakers has to deal with and wants to select from to make that grape into the best wine possible. Then we had lunch. 2 different vintages of Chardonnay and Pinot. Paired with the Oaklands Restaurant selected courses. None of these foods were on their regular menu. Seared Scallop in onion consomme with fennel/anchovy/pecorino paired with Chardonnay. The buttery flavours in the wine melded into the scallop/onion flavours like a dream. Then the striploin on it's bed of polenta with mushrooms, kale and bone marrow jus were topped with shaving of truffle and paired with Pinot Noir. The only difficulty was in getting a complete bite every time. Because you wanted it all together all.the.time. To miss a single flavour was to dimish the whole. Excellent is an understatement. And the finish was a choco-holic (me!!) dream. Gluten-free chocolate almond cake with dark ganache, poached cranberries and Pinot Noir syrup. Paired with late-harvest Vidal. So very rich but not overwhelmed with sweetness. The cranberries added a beautifully tart freshness. If you weren't there, you seriously missed out! 2) Bubbles and Oysters - Member's Weekend Event Again how can you go wrong? A Riverbend specialty paired with excellent sparkling wines. Your choice of Brut or a dry Rose. 6 oysters on the half shell. 3 different toppings. A wedge of lemon. A traditional mignonette, horseradish and a very spicy hot sauce. Spoilt for choice. I think I need more oysters .... Wait they do this on Sundays??? I'mma coming back. It was a wonderful way to end the weekend.

We had Room 108. Nice, clean but the satellite TV wasn’t working and no one in the place had a solution. So we booted up our iPads and watched TV on the hotel’s excellent wifi. Now to the restaurant. Exceptionally nice space. Our waitress was a real Niagara wine evangelist and made us laugh. The menu advertises tagliatelle, but the kitchen served up linguine, which turned what could have been a great dish kind of meh. To be fair, wife was very happy with her oysters and caviar and squash entree. So, not five stars. Could be though.

We stayed at Riverbend last weekend and had an amazing stay. Our room was beautiful and immaculate. It was very quiet. Our room was on the first floor and we heard no other guests above us or next to us. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. We visited Peller Estates Winery for dinner and a tour another day and loved the golf cart shuttle. We had breakfast and dinner at Oaklands. Both were delicious and the service outstanding. The view overlooking the vineyard while having a glass of champagne was wonderful! It's hard to believe some of the previous negative reviews as our experience was all extremely positive. We have traveled a great deal and would return to Riverbend again. If you like modern and shiny this is not the place for you. This is a beautiful, old inn with a great deal of charm.

Pretentious over rated hotel with sub standard bathroom with old greyish towels. The supplied amenities in the bathroom were low quality and tiny. The sheets were supposed to be Frette but were unironed, creased and old. Wooden floors with no rugs….I realise they are a tripping hazard but the room was large enough to have a rug of some type. The footsteps from the person upstairs were very loud due to the bare wooden floors The coffee machine was full of old brown water which I had to clean out by running it twice without coffee pods to get clear water. The food was overpriced and only prix-fixe was offered. No outlets anywhere near the bed to charge electronics (or for cpap machine if needed!). The room did have wine available for purchase but this hotel was overpriced and under whelming. Find somewhere that understands value and 5 star. They charge 5 star prices but are much less than they advertise. The vineyard view was pleasant but this place is not Tuscany or the Loire valley so the level of pretentiousness was overwhelming.

Very attractive property. Unfortunately we arrived late and had to leave early so we weren’t able to enjoy the amenities. Front desk staff were very nice. Only downside was no elevator and we were on the third floor (and my wife has knee issues.)

This is by far the dirtiest hotel I have aver stayed in. The floors were filthy. Bathroom floor was covered with dust and hair. When I asked receptionist to send someone to clean it they brought a flower for the bathroom and that was it. Staff was not nice and the restaurant very mediocre . The salad we got was brown and I would never serve it as it was pretty old. The whole experience was not pleasant. On the positive side - you can’t beat the location and probably that’s why they don’t care about level of service

Our dinner at the Riverbend’s restaurant the Oakdale was exceptionally great from start to finish. warm welcome, verynice outdoor seating, gracious hostess sarted a great dining experience. The “New York Sour” cocktail very interesting amd tasty. As a Sour fan, I opted for a traditional Whiskey Sour, which was good. The Oysters from PEI great. The starters from the 2 course menue option fantastic. We had wild mushroom on toast, beet salad and lamb carpaccio. Superb main dishes following: duck leg, lamb shank, crusted Halibut. Our server, Rebecca a delightful person to have looking after us. Best Niagara experience for dinner in a beautiful vineyard patio setting

I am a Surgeon in who lives in Toronto and I often make short trips and stays in Niagara On the lake which is well known location for its beauty, restaurants and Theatre. My wife and I along with another couple stayed at the River Bend Inn and Vineyard on the 25th April. We checked out the next day after breakfast and everything seemed great. However in the afternoon my friend who had payed for the two rooms with his credit card got a bill for nearly $350.00 charged to his credit card. The hotel said that a pair of bath robes that were in my room are missing. In fairness, they did not openly say that I stole the bath robes, but are charging us for the lost item. There was no phone call to me or my friend to verify if we had actually taken the items nor was there any indication as to whether the hotel investigated how the items were lost. The clear indication was that we stole the bath robes and hence need to pay for it. As mentioned earlier I am a surgeon with a fairly good income and I have travelled all over the world and have never been accused of stealing before. I contacted the hotel and spoke to the manager and the General Manager ( names with held) and after one or two hours I received a phone call saying that the charges have been reversed. In subsequent conversation they somewhat reluctantly apologized and offered to buy us lunch at the hotel if we visited them again. Needless to say, we are never going back. My advice to future customers is to make sure that there are two bath robes in your room when you check in and that they are there when you leave. When we checked in, there were no bath robes and we didn't know that they are normally provided. T.E. Abraham and R. Abraham
