Staying in Laventaba is like stepping back through time. The house is beautifully decorated with every period detail faithfully recreated. the rooms are beautifully appointed and extremely comfortable. Wendy is a most gracious, informative and welcoming host who serves a wonderful breakfast full of home made delights. We loved our brief (one night) stay and will certainly be back, we have our eye on the "Christmas in July" weekend.

This traditional style farmhouse in the heart of Wakkerstroom is just a perfect getaway for any couple or family. Wendy was just great and nothing was too much trouble. She even made us a picnic for our bird watching trip. Myself and my parents booked 2 rooms here and loved the quirky charm of the decor and picturesque setting. We booked guided bird watching through Wendy and we couldn’t of asked for a better guide - David was just unreal at finding just about anything. I would recommend this to anyone who is keen on visiting a perfect little town in the peaceful surrounds.

This guesthouse is a converted farm house that has retained the rough Oregon pine floors and is furnished with taste. The furniture is all originals and it is clear it has been collected over many years. I think the furnishings is worth as much as the property. Night is Pitch dark and dead quite, takes some getting used to when from the city. Our host - Wendy was fantastic, made us feel at home straight away. The town is a feast and people are friendly. We loved it all.

We stayed here when travelling through RSA with another couple. What a wonderful host Wendy was - nothing was too much trouble, even organising a place to dine when all local restaurants were closed on a Tuesday! Antique furniture and a flair for decorating made this stay a very memorable one. Very relaxing to be able to stroll around a large garden after travelling a long way in a car.
