Amethyst Inn at Regents Park

A Truly Victorian Heritage InnAmethyst Inn is a fully-restored historic mansion dating from 1885. A few of our many features are 13 foot ceilings, period furniture and antiques. There are cosy fireplaces in most rooms. In the parlour we serve a full breakfast on antique crystal and china. To help you unwind there are jacuzzis in some of our rooms, and dont worry about your car: we have lots of secure, free parking on our property.

Our host Ryan was super accommodating and friendly. We got a free upgrade to an enormous room with huge bathroom. Excellent eggs Benedict as part of a generous breakfast in a wonderful dining room full or historic art and architecural detail. The place could use a little work on

A time capsule guest mansion from the Victorian era. (literally as in Victoria…)
And that is what you should have in mind when chosing The Ametyst. I would personally consider it to be a great bed & breakfast option stayig in this early 1900’s era place. As a turn of the century

We had a wonderful stay at the Amethyst Inn. Carlson was a wonderful host - I had some questions before arriving and he answered all my emails promptly. I was concerned at how late we would be arriving and he quickly put me at ease, assuring someone would be there to check us in.

Another view of the room.
"The upper level rooms are rather small with slanted ceiling. Steep stairs and no elevator that should also be a consideration."
"This is not handicap accessible as it's a historic mansion."
"Quieter at the back of the house."
"The top floor rooms, although beautiful, are a bit smaller due to peaked ceilings. If you are tall this may be a bit of an issue. All the rooms are beautifully appointed. As it is a Victorian house, there are no closets, but large wardrobes are provided. There are a lot of stairs and no elevator, so if you have mobility issues this may be a problem."
"If you have mobility issues do not stay in Room 13. You have to climb over a 3' high wall to get into the small tub or use a slippery tile step positioned off to the side."
