This is a very good place to visit which I can go as many times as possible. The environment is good and clean. Staff are very disciplined with excellent customer care. Food is good and well prepared. When going to the rooms are good mostly chalets, good beds, clean, bathrooms clean and spacious with mat on the floor. As for the roundavels, they are good but not so clean. It seems as they are not mostly used, there were webs on every corner, dusty. But in overall the place is very good. Allow some loud music overnight until the morning which cannot disturb other guests, a party with a Dj.

This is a beautiful overnight spot, felt so welcomed, especially by Isaac. He did not flaw in making us feel welcomed. The dinner we were served was out of this world, together with the intimate table setting. Thanks Isaac !!

I had an amazing stay at the lodge. The staff are incredible, helpful and friendly. I stayed in the honeymoon suite which is spacious and extremely comfortable. Add extra travel to navigate the potholes around the Marquard and Clocolan. Best to drive during the day so that you can spot the potholes and avoid them.

We had a weekend getaway with my hubby and son. It's very beautiful and tranquil place perfect for every occasion. We enjoyed every moment during our stay. Everyone was friendly to us. The best moment was when all the staff gathered to sing a birthday song to my hubby during our breakfast. I loved it, and so the birthday boy. I highly recommend it.

I would not recommend staying here unless you really have to (as we had to for a family wedding).

Reception or person responsible for booking was just plain rude. When I phoned to find out what the difference is between the chalets and rondawels before booking, I was rushed us off the phone by the lady who told me to send a mail with the details and they will get back to us.

We sent the mail with the details and after paying R1800 for 2nights, we wanted to find out whether our proof of payment was received. 3 mails and 4 days later i decided to phone and inquire whether they received it and if we have a room booked? I was basically shouted at for asking because their emails were offline. This is really unprofessional and inhospitable!

Chalet Rooms are basic - they don't even have a bar fridge, aircon, telephone or chairs to sit outside on the veranda. Also most have single beds. The walls are paper-thin and you can hear the people next door-not private at all.

Not much to do on this property. It's a game lodge but you can't go for a game drive? The put-put area is unkept and overgrown so you cant play at all-does not make sense as the rest of the gardens are so beautifully kept.

The only thing going for the place is the view and the rose gardens-its truly beautiful.

Breakfast is average and wedding food was slightly better.

This could be a great place but some work is seriously needed if your asking price is R900 per night in the middle of nowhere and you are unapologetically rude.

excellent hospitality and they let us feel special as we where the only guest for that evening, i would recommend consider, building an "stoep" for the rondawal if you wish to have your coffee outside in the morning

We went down to a Family Wedding at the Zuikerkop Country Game Lodge. It is a 3 Star grading. We were looking forward to the wedding and it was very beautyfull wedding. However we feel that the amount that we paid for two nights does not justify the room conditions or the attraction on the Game Lodge. when you drive into the lodge the layout is great and the boma and the reception and the view is spectular.

When we arrived and booked in we were given our key and went to the chalet. For R 900 a night and there is no fridge in the room to keep the water bottles cold and then there was the situation with single beds and we asked if you could be please a have room with double bed it was state that we should specify that we its a double bed. Seriously since when must you specify if you want a double bed. the bed lights did not work, there was no air con just a fan which definelty did not cool down the room.

Then on top of it the outside light was also not working and we could hear our neighbours conversation as well things that you dont want to hear. That was not a very nice experience. Your breakfast was consisting out of poached egg , bacon ( to crisp ) dried sausages and mushroom onion sauce and Kellogs or Mueslie with the same yoghurt , the juice was not fresh juice it was the juice that you mix with water.

The wedding food self was good and the way the wedding venue room looked like.

We just feel to pay R 1800 for two nights it is not worth it. Even the putt putt has no path and it has been neglected. We will never again even consider the option to stay over at Zuikerkop Country Game Lodge.

We had our daughter's wedding at Zuikerkop and we only have praise for Johannie and her team. All our guest stayed at the venue for the weekend and there were absolutely no complaints from them. The food they prepared for our group was exceptional. They prepared the venue with so much care and pride. We cannot thank them enough for the amazing time we had there.
