We had our wedding at Mar del Cabo! It was absolutely stunning! But the even better part was the staff and our whole experience there! From the welcome drinks, to breakfast every day, around the pool and at the beach, the staff take incredible care of you and always remember your name and even the room your in! Would highly recommend Mar del Cabo for a couples trip, a wedding, just a relaxing weekend away. We will be back!
Wonderful stay very personalized. Exceptional grounds. The colors are unreal. The rooms are updated and lovely. The food is fresh and delicious! The pool and beach chairs always clean and set up perfectly. The tiki torches lined the beach at night. Victor, Cesal and Sergio at the restaurant gave exception service our whole stay! Thanks for the memories! Cheers
Great clean spacious rooms. Friendly staff, great food and nice small intimate beach. Loved it and we will go back for sure!! The breakfast was awesome… the huevos rancheros especially! The hotel is beautiful with great care and attention to the landscaping.
My husband and I stayed at Mar Del Cabo for 3 nights to celebrate my birthday and loved loved loved it! Although sandwiched between 2 huge resorts (one being it's sister property, Grand Velas), it manages to maintain such a relaxed sweetness. As others have said, the grounds and views are beautiful and the food/drinks fantastic but what sets this little gem apart is the staff. We entered our room (Room 4 has a full ocean view and is incredible!) and found a beautiful little birthday cake waiting for usl. Shout outs to Victor, Cesai, and Antoinio at the restaruant and Paola (and another gentleman whose name we can't recall-sorry!) at the front desk. Although the hotel is certainly not inexpensive, it's a bargain compared to other places on the beach. We loved that it wasn't all-inclusive and could grab an Uber and go to restaurants such as Flora Farms, El Farallon at the Waldorf, and Jazz on the Rocks or go into the town of San Jose del Cabo (Cabo San Lucas is a nightmare!) OR just stay at the hotel, relax and enjoy the hotel's amazing restaurant and have fresh ceviche' and seafood tacos served pool or beachside. Heavenly! We also loved taking morning walks on the beach and just past the Grand Velas are little rocky coves we had all to ourselves. Although you can't swim in the sea in Cabo because it's too rough (although we took a snorkeling/kayaking trip that was fun), you can still dip your feet in the water as the waves crash onto the sand. We will definitely return!…
My boyfriend and I loved our stay at Mar Del Cabo. It was quiet when we arrived and we got great service at the restaurant on our first night. The fish tacos are the best I had the whole trip (and I ordered them everywhere we went, lol). The concierge was so helpful with all of my requests, including recommendations for where to watch a very important soccer game (if you find yourself in the same boat, I suggest Agua Salada, btw). We went to Grand Velas resort next door for the breakfast buffet 3 days in a row because it was so good. The resort also looked really nice for those interested in doing a day pass or spa visit. I liked that the hotel was halfway in between the 2 Cabos so we could easily access both. We took Ubers most of the time and it was usually between $10-15 to get into town.…
Clean, great staff, excellent food, beautiful grounds and facility. We were there for daughters wedding and had a total of about 65 guests. The facility is beautiful and perfect setting for a wedding. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. No problems at all. Loved it. Will return if have another opportunity.
We had a great experience! The view was beautiful, food was great, all of staff and employees were very helpful and accommodating. This was our first destination wedding, most of the wedding guests stayed at Mar del Cabo. It was perfect for the group to hang out and enjoy time with the bride and groom in a boutique setting.
Thanks to Victor and his staff at the Encanto Restaurante at Mar Del Cabo for making my days here brighter! Victor is super attentive and knowledgable about what is good to eat and offered consistent outstanding customer service everyday I ate there. When I first arrived, he greeted me and let me pick the best spot to be seated with the nicest Views. Very sweet and kind staff! Thank you for an enjoyable experience!
We greatly enjoyed 1 week at Mar Del Cabo in the Penthouse. Room was large and nicely decorated. Kitchen was minimally stocked so don't plan on doing much cooking, but it was great having a fridge and microwave! You really need to upgrade to a room with a view, close to the beach as a majority of rooms have no view or are up near the road. The food & service at the pool/beach and restaurant was exceptional. The pool and beach were both quiet and relaxing (no screaming kids like the mega resorts!). The food gets a bit redundant as there is just one lunch/dinner menu. So if you are there for more than a few days, but the chef did try and come up with some daily specials to help or make plans to go elsewhere for dinner.
Very pretty and peaceful resort with great service. It feels tucked away and private. The beach here is very nice with great lounge area and the rock outcropping is dramatic and pretty. They put a lot of effort into the stairs from the street level reception down to the beach, but since you use it several times a day, you’ll love the flowers and the detailed tile work.
