The Glasgow Pont (est. 1856) is probably one of the very last of the real old-time Karoo hotels, and while it may seem to lack some of the features of newer establishments, few other can equal the quality of our hospitality and cuisine or the convenience of our location. With affordable pet- and family-friendly accommodation, with or without en-suite amenities, to practical backpacker bunks for the more adventurous traveler.
Old school hotel for a lovely trip down memory lane. Get out of the fast lane of screens and enjoy the hospitality of the farming folk. I was welcomed as family, given a tour of the surrounding areas and then Frik, the manager, went to the shop and bought me padkos!!! All of these small acts of kindness made this the best experience I've ever had at any hotel and I cant wait to return to my new family. Thank you Cheryl and Frik🍒🍒🍒

Lovely old hotel with exceptional friendly and helpful staff. Meals are delicious and highly recommended. A very cozy old style hotel. The only thing that might be a problem for some people will be that we had shared bathrooms for our room.

If it's luxury, rated accommodation you're looking dor this is probably not the establisment to visit, but it is a very friendly, homely typical small town hotel with a great atmosphere. The owners, Barend and Sarie, are terrific hosts, and dished up a super dinner even though we arrived late. This is fine South African hospitality - very well prices too.
