It has been sold but for the moment it hasn't been changed. I hope they don't change the fantastic atmosphere, period furnishings, excellent restaurant, grand breakfast, big woodland garden, professional staff / service. I hope they do modernise some things like baths without showercurtains or old carpets. That's all. We loved our stay.

Dear Madam, Dear Sir, It was a pleasure to receive you at the Château de Locguénolé. The teams would like to thank you for the encouragement that motivates them to persevere. As you mentioned, we have the chance to enjoy a unique site, between sea and forests, but also and above all an exceptional location only a few minutes from the motorway which allows us to reach the many sites to visit in the region (Ria d'Etel, Carnac, Quiberon peninsula, Islands of Groix, Houat or Belle-Ile, Pont-Aven...). So many destinations that you probably haven't been able to visit yet, that's why we would once again be delighted to welcome you to discover these new Breton horizons. Warm regards,

On the whole we enjoyed our weekend stay but we’re surprised to find there was no lift when considering the hotel is on 4 floors you should be notified in advance We are not disabled but anyone with restricted movement would find staying here difficult. We stayed in a top floor room which although a little dated was perfectly acceptable. The food in the restaurant along with the service was faultless but we were disappointed to be offered water on the table which came in an unlabeled, opened glass bottle (could have been tap water) was charged at 6 euros extra which we only found out when checking out and they were on the bill. Checked the minibar in the room and a lot of the goods on the list were not there so informed the reception immeadiatly on check in as we’ve been stung on that old truck before The breakfast menu offers eggs cooked how you like them. My wife chose an omelette and again we only found this was an extra 20 odd euros when checking out Be careful ordering a bottle of wine as if you ask the waiter they will bring the dearest and that could be very expensive

There was a wedding taking place. Had we been informed upon booking we would not have stayed. Consequently we were put into a room in the stables which I wouldn’t have put my horse in for the amount of money we paid! Terrible room and not clean. Smelt very musty. Also felt that we could not sit outside and enjoy the lovely location (which we would have liked to do in order to escape the awful room) as the wedding guests were having pre-reception drinks there. In fairness when we complained about how shocking our room was the manager deducted the price of breakfast as a good will gesture, although we still paid far too much for a very disappointing stay. It was the last night of our holiday before returning home and really left a bad memory! Praise where praise is due - the meal in the restaurant was very good.

This is an old chateau, and its facilities are very limited. There is no lift, and my room had a bathroom in the roof space above the bed area, up a rather steep wooden 14 tread staircase! From the dining room to the bedroom in itself was some 75 steps, so I got fit ! The food was poor, and I do not expect to be served Pollock in what is an undeniably expensive and poor value restaurant. There is a swimming pool etc, but it is a considerable distance from the main chateau . Not up to standard as a whole I'm afraid

Mr. Thomas, I read your review about your stay in early September in our property and I want to make a few clarifications to enlighten the readers. Indeed, the castle dates from 1800, so it is old actually, but I reassure you, it became a hotel only from 1968 and underwent profound changes during these fifty years of exploitation. On the other hand, the spirit remains the same and this old-fashioned charm is very appreciated by the customers. However, I grant you that investments have become necessary to modernize the house (elevator and decoration) and these are also planned very soon. About your room, you have booked a Classic Double Room which is the cheapest of all the rooms on offer (8 categories available). Of these, two have an atypical configuration since the bathroom is located on the floor which has a small disadvantage because of the steps to climb but, conversely, offers the advantage of optimizing the surfaces of the room and the bathroom which display beautiful volumes. We are also very surprised by your comment about our gourmet restaurant which is, as you will see on the review sites, unanimously appreciated by our customers. By the way, you finally had dinner on both nights during your stay. I would also like to clarify that the pollack is an excellent fish that is offered at the table of all gourmet restaurants (including Michelin stars) and that should not be confused with the coley or coalfish, which actually has significantly less interest. Finally, we are lucky to have a very nice heated pool in the park located 50 meters from the castle, in front of the Orangery and we do not understand how it is a problem.
