We stayed over here for one night en route home from Kruger. The place really exceeded our expectations ! Magnificent views over the mountains , immaculate gardens and wonderful orchards and vegetable garden. We picked berries, avos, fresh asparagus and Persian limes. Shahrzad and Brett are just the most amazing hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were there on a Sunday and most places are not open for supper so we self catered in the wonderfully equipped little kitchen in our cottage and with the fruit , home made bread, farm eggs , and preserves provided by the hosts had a great dinner on our patio overlooking a private garden - bliss. In the morning we bought cordials , preserves and honey all locally produced there and displayed in their lovely shop
An unexpected plus was the wonderful array of birds at this venue - I saw many species right there , that one would usually struggle to track down in a forest eg green twinspot and forest canary. We just wish we could have stayed longer !

Kuhestan Farm is beautiful - tucked away on the edge of an indigenous forest, with flower and bird filled gardens. We were fortunate to see the endangered Cape Parrot during our stay.
Warm hospitality, homemade bread, and lovey cottages with open fire places made it a memorable stay. We enjoyed our walk to the tallest planted tree in the world!
We stocked up on farm produce - delicious Persian cordials, preserves and rose essence. A convenient and very beautiful stopover en route to the Kruger - we will definitely stay again!

Dear Brett and Shahrzad

Johan and I were privileged to stayed at your beautiful farm for the 2nd time. We stayed over for 3 nights and could have stay another 3 nights. Our friends that we brought with to introduce them to your piece of heaven were overwhelmed with your hospitality your beautiful farm, and your chalets are stunning and the view is priceless.

The freshly homemade bread that we you always provide in our chalets are to die for.

Thank you to you and Brett who always makes us feel part of the family and the home made jam and cordial tastings are always a highlight of our stay.

Johan and Rika van Rooyen

We will definitely be back ASAP.

A family of 4 we had 4 wonderful days at the 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom cottage. The hosts are amazing, we had a home baked loaf of bread, a bottle o milk, butter and jam waiting for us on our arrival. This cottage is very well equipped and spotlessly clean.
The gardens are beautiful to walk around which I highly recommend. This is such a beautiful area with plenty of walks and places to see. Most of the sand roads require a 4 X 4 particularly if there has been a lot of rain.
This was our second stay here and we will definitely back for another visit.
Thank you to the hosts.

An unplanned visit. I called up the number and Shahrzad was super friendly and even though they were closed welcomed us to come visit. The gardens although it was a winter visit you can picture the rainbows 🌈 that can be created in the most beautiful maintained manicured gardens. We definitely gonna go back in summer. The walk around the property brought instant peace into your soul. They have a shop on the property with all of their awesome Persian produce. Looking forward to going back

We have been visiting it and staying quite a few times during the past.
In each season it has its own beauties.
Very beautiful and nicely kept garden.
Accommodation nice and neat with great views to garden and forests.
Owners/hosts very nice and kind people and very friendly with friendly dogs.
We recently visited it in October, foggy, drizzling, so green and blooms and flowers. A heavenly weather and environment.
We strongly recommend it to whoever wants to relax and see one of the rare such habitats in Limpopo.
Let me not forget to write about their shop, nice organic jams. The only place you can find some Persian jams (carrot jam is my favorite). Every visit I buy few and share with my friends. A nice sweet and different jam.

Lovely overnight stop with the family. Large open plan rooms, very clean and comfortable. Comfortable warm beds. Beautiful setting on the organic farm. We were supplied with a self catering breakfast of homemade bread, eggs, fruit etc. We would definitely stay again.

This was a perfect location to stay. I can find no fault with this gem -which would have to be the first time ever that I can say that. From the indigenous forest outside our cottage complete with Samango monkeys in the most, to the immaculate garden setting the cottage was in to the cottage itself. Spacious, well designed, comfortable, quiet and well equipped. Delightful thoughtful additions such as flowers, and homemade bread, eggs, milk butter and jams were lovely and welcomed. Shahrzad and Brett are the perfect hosts, being very welcoming and generous with themselves and their information, yet not at all intrusive during our stay. The mountain bike riding in the forest was tough (if you go to the waterfall) but enjoyable. Most definitely this spot is at the top of our "return-to" list.

Beautiful spot with well designed rooms, lots of space and a great attention to detail all adds up to a wonderful overnight stop. We lingered until mid-morning the next day, while making a family breakfast in the open plan kitchen with the ingredients provided by our hosts. The stocked & ready to go fireplace the night before another favorite!

The Magoesbaskloof region in South Africa is perhaps unparalleled in beauty. Kuhestan is a charming base for exploring it. The farm is beautiful with lush gardens. As others have noted, the owners are warm and welcoming hosts, you feel like you're with family from day 1. The farm cottages are not particularly luxurious - more of a rustic feel, but well appointed. Just make sure that you carry groceries with you. You can have a delicious lunch at the blueberry farm near by but eating options in the evenings are a bit limited. We only stayed here 2 nights but could have easily stayed longer.
