Detailed Reviews
We (10 of us) walked the "Tour du Mont Table" around Table mountain, 5 days 88 km. We stayed over in 4 Backpackers along the way. Cape Town, Hout Bay, Muizenberg and Claremont. Stoked was good. The beds in the dorm was new and good. We sat on the stoep and watched the sun rise. We ate at Bombay Chilli. The kitchen is small. The security is good.

I needed to make a last minute booking...and was thrilled to happen upon Stoked Backpackers. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The place is new--beautifully done and pristine. They have a great cafe...w a delicious cappuccino. And the view & locale is excellent. I'd highly recommend it.

This spot a stone's throw away from Muizenberg beach offers a wide range of room options with friendly staff. The communal area offers a great view with great facilities. Start your day at the cafe adjoined with coffee and pastry, cant beat that.

Can’t speak to the standard of the accommodation, but the cafe is very poor. As a vegetarian, I was super excited to see there was a veggie cafe in Muizenberg, but the menu was very disappointing (basically the sort of boring and basic veg stir fry with soy sauce/ sandwich/ nachos/ pasta/ coconut curry that people make as students). I placed an order but they were out of the ingredients for two of the things I wanted so I gave up and walked out. They massively need to raise their game.

For my first stay at a Backpackers Hotel- it was quite kool. There is wi-fi daily all over; the view is at the beach front in Muizenberg { Amazing view.} The staff kept the place clean daily. They were very helpful when you needed something. They also have security thats aplus while travelling abroad. I would come here again and lay out on the patio. It was great to dine under the stars. Oh yes, cannot forget you are right at the train station and there are stores walking distance and the post office too. And cannot forget Bobby Brodemus for your tour guide and shuttle.
Cheers and Blessing to the Stoked Staff.

Big Shout out to the team at Stoked. Sea and Katjie thank you for your hospitality. Me and Maria sure enjoyed your company while we were there. The backpackers has a cool vibe and a cool cafe. Phillip will serve you with the best coffee Muzi's has to offer. Clean rooms, clean kitchen and hot showers. 1 Minute walk to the beach. The balcony area has the best few of the ocean and the beautiful Muizenberg. I will be back!!

The reception offers a warm welcome and helpful service. Its hard to describe the layout but once you climb the spiral stairs you are greeted by an amazing view of Muizenberg beach. The deck area and lounge are perfect for hanging out and watching the surf!
Little restaurants and coffee shops are within walking distance or check your email on their free wifi at the Stoked Cafe. You can easily catch the train to Simonstown to hang out with the penguins or into the city centre. The tickets were inexpensive and train ride was an great experience.
There are surfboard rentals and a few surf shops around.
The dorms have good quality bedding and are comfortable.
This is a great place to use as your base if you prefer to be out of town and are more into exploring nature, surfing and seeing a less commercial part of Cape Town.
Definitely worth a visit!

Hi,
A dorm room is shared accommodation with other travellers, so generally other travellers prefer not to share a room with children. When were you looking to book?
Hi, Thanks for your interest in staying at Stoked. It depends on the time of the year, and sometimes the day of the week, but for the most part, people go out to party. There are sometimes a few gathering on the deck, but for the most part, everyone is pretty mellow. It's a beach thing.
