This is one of those instances where all of the praise written about this hotel is true. -beautiful, old, etc. Yet, it didn't quite excite me. The waiters, check in staff, other staff were all as they should be. (professional, courteous, helpful). The restaurants were...More
I stayed here with a group of friends in March and had a fantastic time.

The hotel is a former convent and the facilities are beautiful. Staff is VERY attentive, service is excellent, the food is very good. The location is almost unbeatable for all Oaxaca City attractions. Unfortunately, the rooms are NOT worth the price. I understand that there...More
I stayed at Quinta Real Oaxaca for three nights. The property is beautiful with a great location at the center of Oaxaca, steps away from the cathedral. The only food I had in the hotel was room service at breakfast and no complaints there.

Sorry for the delay. I rarely get on to this web page. I would have sent you a quick video clip what I took from an inner balcony of the hotel of some apparent evening fiesta. I never really enquired about it but I am quite certain that somebody told me that it was a regular Friday night event and the name what you mention in your email seems to ring a bell. However, that night, I went out to some restaurant near the cathedral, and afterwards, I went to the poolside bar in the hotel Quinta Real Oxaca, so I didn't partake of whatever event was taking place. The video I took has a bunch of brightly coloured costumes of people dancing the local folklore. Sorry if I cannot be of more assistance than this.
