Now I'm going to start this with stating that the only other all-inclusives I've ever stayed at were 4.5 stars on the Mayan coast, so that being said...
I had no major complaints or concerns, it just wasn't what I'd secretly been wanting a 5 star resort at a 3 (2,5?) star resort prices :)
Biggest complaint was the construction noise that is not really the fault of the hotel. They are doing a bit of maintenance work but the majority of it was the massive hotel going up next door. But really it wasn't that bad and it was ignorable with some help from the headphones.
The food was lacking in variety but it was tasty and was a mix of Mexican and American cuisines. Not a lot of options for vegetarians but carnevores probably had a great time. If you are vegan I think you might be SOL.
The entire place and rooms was clean and well maintained. Could use some hooks in the bathroom for your purse or bag or whatever so you aren't hanging it around your neck or putting it on the floor.
I was on the 5th floor and there are stairs and elevators at least in that building but maybe not all of them. The view from the balcony in buildings 10 and 12 are good. At least on the 5th (top) floor.
Lots of families with children. Seems a lot of their customers are locals or Mexicans on vacation, it was much busier on the weekend than during the weekdays.
Beach was nice but only red flag out so didn't get to swim in the ocean.
Pools were nice, clean and well maintained. They had plenty of loungers and shade which was excellent.
They have massage tables set up outside and do minor spa stuff, mani pedi type.
NO gym :(
Similar to the food the beverages were tasty but not a lot of variety or flavours available. Loved the Pina Coladas.
Walk into town at the start of the Malecon took me about 20 minutes at a leisurely pace and was friendly and safe at least during the day, I was too lazy to go out at night.
Place is not wheelchair friendly at all. No ramps or lifts into the pools, stairs all over the place.
Overall I had a good time and staff was friendly and helpful. I'd go back, although preferable not until the hotel being built is complete.

Excellent vacation !! It was my first time in Mexico and I loved it ! Great resort, great buffet and the Italian restaurant was excellent. I really enjoyed the Spanish coffee ! Our room which was on the 4th floor was spotless, the king size bed was so comfortable with fresh linen everyday. An adult pool only where you can just relax, 2 other pools for families and a smaller one with little slides for kids. I enjoyed the iguanas which were quite friendly. I was lying on a chair when one crawled up beside me. I would go back to this place for sure !

Our room was very clean and nice, staff were friendly and always willing to help. They are building next door so there was some construction noise but for what we paid Costa Club was better than we expected. It's in an excellent location, walking distance to the Malecon and all kinds of stores and restaurants. Food was good, buffet style of course. The alcohol on the resort is very low quality, beer was decent but that's it. The beach is not very nice but it's a short walk to nicer beaches or you can catch the local bus right out front for 10 pesos and go wherever you like.

I want to start out by saying this hotel deserves far more than a three star rating. the only thing that really does bring it down is the fact that the food is less than lack luster but you can tell that the effort is there.
we stayed the week of December 27th- January 3rd with an AirCanada vacation package. we were a group of young girls in the age of 20-21, we knew coming not to expect any lavish bonuses as we were aware this was a three star hotel but much to our surprise it really never felt that way. in an amazing location, about a 15 minute walk to the Malacon. we even went to DIPLO a famous dj that was only two blocks from our hotel, the staff was amazing, we would hangout at the Adult pool and the bartenders would come up to take our orders, always had drinks coming. the hours the buffet are open are super awesome because it gave us time to hangout at the beach or sleep in if we partied to hard the night before lol. the resort is mainly Spanish, including the staff but not a complaint what so ever if anything it added more culture to our trip and made us crave to learn the beautiful language which we all have as our New Years resolution now. on NYE the staff went above and beyond, setting up a candlelit dinner around the pool bringing in a live band and offering a buffet that offered a lot more luxurious food then the previous nights they truly did everything to make it a beautiful night to end the year. our check out time was 12pm and our fight did not leave until 9pm that evening which was not an issue they took our luggage to lock in a secured room and allowed us to keep our wrist bands on to still enjoy all the immunities of a regular guest. needless to say we were very sad to be leaving and when staff hoped to see us next year it was a very easy yes. until next time Costa Club!

one thing I would like to add for anyone that has not visited Puerto Vallarta, it is hands down one of the most beautiful places I have ever been it stands out safety, friendly and respectful wise from other destination spots ex, Cancun. we took taxis and Ubers and never felt unsafe, the security at costa club made sure to check wrist bands and patrol the beach as the beach is public, we also were fortunate to meet locals that took us to some gorgeous hidden gems and quieter beaches. if you haven't been to PV this is your sign to go!!!

Very few positives about this hotel. We were lucky to get a renovated room but it was double beds and not the king we booked. The front desk promised a better room on day 2 but the room they showed us was unmade, old and a view of a vacant lot. The specialty restaurant only allows 3 choices, one appetizer, one main course, and one dessert. The main we wanted was unavailable. Pool is clean but noisy. Spent 2 quiet days at the beach then security took it upon themselves to blast music one morning resulting in most of us leaving except for a few very loud local families. Security thought this was very funny and smiled at all of that left. Very little service, they need more staff. Buffet is what you can expect, nothing special. Hotel generally doesn’t seem to care about their guests. Will not be coming back which is too bad because it has a good location.

We enjoyed our experience at Costa Club so much last year that we were compelled to return again this year for three weeks this time around. We requested a 2 bedroom suite with a fridge this year. We had to wait 24 hours until our room was vacant but for the rest of the 3 weeks we were very happy with our stay. Having the Mega Store next door is an added bonus. Costco and Walmart are within a 1/2 hour walking distance.

The food is great. We love the specialty restaurant and what I think was a new menu this year with more selections. Food in the buffet restaurant might be a little repetitive from day to day, but we always found something new to try every day. The fried chicken our first week and grilled shark were among our favourites not to mention the weekly Key Lime Pies that lasted all night long. There is a third restaurant open in the afternoons that serves up pizzas, burgers and hot dogs with all the fixins.

We've become friendly with all the wait staff. Many of whom make a point of greeting you with a handshake and a smile every meal.

Sunwing package. They drop you off and uou never see them again. Been to PV 4x before, first time I have ever been to a place that locks the beach off at 10 PM so no night time beach views. Food and drink stops at 10 PM, what kind of all-inclusive is that. They commented that WiFi has been upgraded. You can't get wifi until 11 pm when everyone is asleep and all the places are closed. Please avoid at all costs!

Dear DarrenRoss, Thank you very much for sharing your comment with the TA community. Unfortunately, we can't provide a response on transfers as this service is not provided by the hotel but we are sure a representative will be able to assist. I would like to invite you to enjoy a coctail at our lobby bar with service until midnight and try our bartender's recommendation of the night. Wifi is available in common areas but should you require a special dedicated space and connection, we will be happy to provide you with an executive room; our bellmen will be happy to assist you.

We arrived mid January for a 3 week holiday 😎 unfortunately the room requested was not available. 3 days later we moved into the requested suite just renovated. The new bathroom had no cold water in the shower. The furniture has been upgraded no longer leather this will be
sofa and loveseat will be destroyed in no time once the Mexican families move in. I was informed that one upgraded suite has already been damaged. If not for the employees this hotel under present management would not exist. The 👨‍🍳 chef is trying to do his best however do to the poorly heating system under the counter to heat the food he has little hope. The food is prepared in another kitchen and brought over to the main eating area and then placed up front for us to eat. No wounder the food is always COLD. Less I forget black birds flying around the eating area and pigeons eating around the tables. The snack bar also prepares many hamburgers and hotdogs ahead of time and then reheats them had one it was like eating a hockey puck French fries were cold. During the week the Mexican families 👪 arrive children running up-and-down 🏃‍♂️ around the pool area. Music is played very loud around the pool area to satisfy the Mexican vacationers. The place is over crowded.

Excellent location and lovely setup however this property is suffering….only about 50 guests so a lot of the property is closed up and restaurants are closed. Front desk managers tell you that the restaurants are open and then you find out that there closed…very poor communication. Very noisy during the day as they have music playing on a speaker and next door there is construction….only way to escape noisy is to leave the property (go to the beach) between 12 to 7 pm. Asked to be move at front desk and told could not as rooms in other areas are closed for renovations but you do not see any renovations…it due too lack of clientele.
Covid protocols- In meal areas staff do not enforce wearing of masks especially with children and 1.5 m distance is not adhered.
Smoking occurs on balconies and just outside outdoor restaurant…not acceptable for non-smoking area.
Food is ok.
Some staff are really trying very hard to please!

The service was excellent. Very friendly and helpful staff. The room was clean, but the dresser was needing some repairs. We found the bed comfortable. The location was perfect for the excursions that we did because we had to go to the marina and it was about a 10 minute walk to the Malecon Boardwalk. We enjoyed ourselves very much and will highly recommend for a 3 Star Hotel.
