This was the view from our room. Ok.. on the right side there was a dilapadated shack, but the view of the ocean made up for it. This was one of those sunny/rainy days that we opted to stay in our room because the humity was unberable.

We were looking at going somewhere safe, warm, and delightful as this year has been interesting to say the least. Villa Premiere popped up as we were looking for the top resorts in the area and it seemed very different than the other resorts. The reviews looked good, seemed very competitive in price, and ratings were high.

We were shocked when we arrived! We were greeted very kindly by Isabelle, even after a very long and delayed flight and the resort was exceptionally clean, sanitized, they don't ride in the elevator with you, everyone wears masks and we felt cleaner here than any place we had been in the states. We were shocked.

We upgraded to the master suite, and we highly recommend it. The other rooms are great and there isn't a bad view from any room, but the master suite is epic. They keep it extremely clean, room service was so kind, and we never felt like we were inconveniencing anyone; everyone was extremly happy to help. The resort wasn't to full capacity so we did feel like we had a lot of freedom in our schedule with the restaurant, spa, and amenities. Everyone morning Marilu would greet us at the restaurant by taking our temperature and guide us to a premium spot overlooking the beach and the staff knew exactly what we wanted to drink and with a lot of respect. Raquel does an amazing job, as well as Alijendro to make it truly a premier experience.

During the day, we enjoyed amazing service on the beach and at the pool by Javier and Ceasar. We never had to flag them down, but also didn't ever feel like they were bugging us as we were talking on the cabana or poolside. I will say the wings were delicious and they brought us so many great drinks. We would make reservations at the spa every night and relax in the steam room and sauna before we got ready for dinner. Dinner was always delicious and very gourmet. We opted to do a candle light dinner on the pier one night and that was well worth it! Adaan was our waiter and made the night so fun and we felt like family with the staff. My wife and I have visited Cabo, Cozumel, and Cancun and some great resorts and this one had the real "boutique" feel to it so it never felt like you had to walk around the whole resort to get to dinner, but you also didn't feel like you were short staffed and getting a lesser experience. It will be tough for us to go to another resort when we go back to Puerto Vallarta.

We highly recommend this place and we had a great experience!

We just returned from our third trip to Villa Premiere and loved it just as much this time as the previous trips. Consistently we love the service from all staff, but especially the pool/beach bar servers; the food quality, presentation, and flavor; the beautiful ocean views from all rooms; and the ease with which we can always find a chair on the beach or around the pool. Even in our first two trips, well before Covid-19, we never felt rushed or inclined to feel like we needed to reserve chairs to have a "good spot" like at some larger resorts. This trip that was especially true as they are operating at a limited capacity. It definitely shows, but did not affect the service or experience at all. If you are looking for a resort where you can go and float in a tranquil, very warm ocean, this would not be the resort for you. You can certainly get in the ocean, but if would not be ideal for swimming and definitely not great for floating in January (at least the 2 Januarys we have been there this has been true all days). If you appreciate the sound of the ocean waves and watching them roll in at all hours of the day with great sights and sounds of such from your room and nearly all resort areas, then this would be an excellent choice! It is also an easy walk to the Malecon if that is important to your trip! In regards to Covid-19 procedures, we felt very safe at the resort. All employees seemed to take their role seriously - wore masks and wore them appropriately, individually wrapped silverware packets, food trays, limiting time spent closer than 6', etc. My rating on sleep quality as 4/5 was simply due to the fact that the first evening it took our room quite a while to cool down to a temperature that we slept well in (68 F) but all the remaining nights the room stayed at a very comfortable temperature without any effort to get/keep it there.

My husband and I stayed here for two weeks at the end of February and we are definitely planning on staying here again! The location is hard to beat, there are great restaurants right across the street and most of PV is in walking distance. It’s only about a 10 minute walk to the Malecon. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. Being a smaller boutique hotel, it never feels crowded and you could almost always easily find a couple of lounge chairs by the pool or even an empty beach bed, and we never got there before the afternoon. We did the all-inclusive package, but we probably wouldn’t next time. The food at the hotel is very good and upscale, but my husband and I have simpler tastes and kept finding ourselves eating tacos and garlic shrimp while we were out exploring. There are tons of restaurants within walking distance and everything is very cheap compared to the US. Being a smaller hotel they have one restaurant that’s open every night and then the second one rotates, often with a set menu with maybe two options. Although I heard they will make pretty much whatever you want and 24/7 room service definitely came in handy a few times. The drinks are great, no cheap stuff here. The margaritas de fresa had fresh cut strawberries and I enjoyed those everyday at the pool bar. All the bartenders were great and very friendly and helpful. There are two smaller pools right next to each other, but since there are no kids here they were never crowded and at the perfect temperature. The pool-bar pool has jets and looks like a hot tub, but it’s just a normal warm pool temperature. It also overlooks the ocean and you could see humpback whales from it almost daily! It was a red flag day at the beach the whole time we were here and while there are some swimmers the waves can be harsh at the shore break, so we mostly stayed in the pool. Our room was very nice and clean, bed was comfortable. The only thing was the shower has pretty low water pressure and the temperature varies a lot, sometimes becoming scalding hot for a few seconds and sometimes there was no hot water at all (but a cool shower wasn’t so bad when it was 85 degrees here). Also when you check in they will offer you a “tour” with free breakfast, which is actually a time share thing. It wasn’t too bad but they do try to sell it pretty hard at the end. So I wouldn’t do it unless you’re actually interested or are confident you can say no and just want to do it for the free massages and discounts.

We've been going to Puerto Vallarta for the last 25 years. We usually stay at Paradise Village in Nuevo Vallarta, but wanted to stay at an Adults Only this time because it was our 25th Wedding Anniversary, and our first time in 25 years without our kids. We booked thru Costco Travel and in my opinion, you could get much better room/rate elsewhere for what we paid. The total trip including airfare cost $3008. That means we paid approx $250/per night for a 2 double bed room with a tiny bathroom. I requested to upgrade to a King Bed but they would have charged us an additional $150/per night and I didn't want to pay that. I saw you could book a King room for about $250/per night. The view from our room was of a dead tree, and derelict property next door which threw very obnoxious parties until 2 a.m.. If you were hoping for a relaxing hotel, this one isn't it. Due to its location it is quite noisy, we could hear both the occupants next door and above us. The utlity rooms for the floor were also located next door which was accessed at all times of the day and night. The room AC was very loud, and I got very little to no sleep. We were also pressured to attend a 90-minute timeshare presentation which actually took almost 3 hours of our precious vacation time. They did not want to hear that we were not interested in purchasing a timeshare in the same location we already own, and tried unsuccessfully to convince us that it would be beneficial for us. Beneficial for them, but definitely not for us. Their pool area is very small, and very difficult to find seating at since guests leave personal items on chairs all day. They also don't start any food service until noon, and it took an hour for the food to come out. No bueno! Their beach is also not suitable for swimming, and is open to the public. Our stay at Villa Premiere made us realize how amazing Paradise Village is, and can't wait to return to our own timeshare next year.

I had the most amazing time at this resort. Was greeted as soon as I arrived with a smile, handed me a delicious margarita and gave me a free 5-10minute massage. My room was very clean and the pool/restaurant area was kept very clean so I always felt comfortable lying out on the cabanas or near the pool.

Everyone was so nice, bringing me drinks, asking if I needed anything and getting to know me! The beach was super rocky so it wasn't a very easy beach to relax on but the resort options near their pool more than made up for it and a short walk into town brought you more sandy beaches to relax on.

The food was delicious - I am vegan and they easily accommodated me and if I didn't see something on the menu that I wanted (they offered a separate vegetarian/vegan menu) I would just describe what I wanted and they made it.

The only reason I took one star off was because although the food was good, sometimes they forgot to bring me something I ordered or left cheese on something when I requested not to have it. However, they handled it incredibly well and it was not that big of a deal after how amazing everything else was. Also - you still have people trying to sell you stuff but I get it is a tourist thing and they have to do that.

This hotel is a great central location to city and night life. However, if you are looking for a secluded all inclusive quiet location and private resort, this resort is not that. In comparison to other 5 star all inclusive resorts, this resort gets an overall poor rating on the service and aesthetics of the resort.

While the resort is small and accommodating with pool service, spa services and restaurants, it is not secluded from public access. The hotel beach is open to public and on one side has homeless living and on the other side is the sister family resort— which does not allow for relaxation of hearing/seeing ocean. We saw stray dogs walking the grounds. Merchants are constantly roaming throughout the day offering different items.

Often feels like you are one of many on the resort due to the small grounds and lack of support staff. There is one pool, and one swim up bar pool—neither larger than a community pool.

We had the all inclusive option and definitely do not feel like we received what we paid for. There were only 2 of 3 restaurants were available for dinning during our stay. Lunch start time at 1pm felt like you had to wait around for a late lunch if you are an early riser. The menu selections were limited, food was delicious, but service was slow. The dessert menu was lacking and one night we were given dessert and had to share. Felt like I was limited in my ability to use my all inclusive option. Overall restaurant/bar service is inconsistent on service and drinks. Food was excellent, but limited in selections and availability. Drinks were lacking in flavor/taste and inconsistent in what was often not available, or not delivered. Wait staff is often not attentive and you have to request refills.

Spa Services were ok, the spa is beneath the gym and located above the family inclusive sister resort; while staff was great and massage was good, the overall relaxing spa aesthetic was not there.

Rooms are comfortable, AC runs however doesn’t cool rooms; turn down service is inconsistent, beds are comfortable, towels are rough and our room did not have any robes.

The highlight of our stay was Paul. He is attentive to ensure pool lounge area is ready for your comfort and relaxation. Paul delivers towels, cold towels in the afternoon, fresh fruit and is always polite and ensures you get what you need. He was a delight, super strong English speaker, allowing him to best connect and meet customers needs.

The lack of attention to details and customer service attributes to the poor rating.

While the location Villa Premier in the heart of Puerto Vallarta is stunning, the COVID sanitization plus precaution practices on point, and the food incredible, there are several concerns I’d like to have future guests, as well as management, take into consideration. Forgive me as, this is from a seasoned traveler that works with hotels, so take this with a grain of salt but, also be aware that we tried to share these insights with management for over a week after our stay without a response or acknowledgment, which equally warranted this review. For guests that aren’t as nit-picky know that VP was very good, but has some room for improvements. For those that are business travelers or anticipate doing work remotely for anything more than a day, the WiFi is not consistent nor strong enough to be reliable poolside or at the cabanas on the beach. We had several issues with the network(s) and wish there were WiFi extensors to reliably do work poolside and not just in the business center or room.

There were also some service-related issues that while not deal breakers, are worth noting. The food is wonderful but there are a few considerations that could be enhanced on the F&B side. Having a bowl of fresh fruit available vs having to wait 20-30 minutes for dished bananas or apples would be nice. The “smoothie” on the menu was more of an oatmeal than a drink, served in a bowl. Our friend that is Gluten Free ordered it assuming it was a smoothie as well and got flared up after only a few bites. While the hostess took our room number at the front it wasn’t translated to the server and we got asked sometimes multiple times for our room number. We also did end up making great friends poolside with another group (definitely an advantage) but there was a lot of trouble being able to split the tip across the multiple rooms that were present, though it was finally able to be done, it was tough to do so. Lastly, while they promote having a Smart TV we had to sign into our own Netflix account to watch anything we come to find out after having two IT technicians come to our room to assist us. Again, overall a solid location, great staff (loved Enrique and Javier), wonderful food, and presentation, but I would not pursue their pushy membership there due to some of these concerns and a lack of response from management.

When looking for a hotel for a night in Puerto Vallarta we had a couple things in mind: a fancy hotel to live up our vacation to the max, walking distance from the sites we wanted to see in our one day there, and with tasteful scenery and beach access. Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway fit all these requirements and thus we chose to say here without much further thought. By the time we had left, we were convinced we couldn’t have chosen a better location. This hotel outdoes itself in every aspect. The building’s design is very tastefully done with a breezy open air entrance and fountain leading to the multiple restaurants, pool deck, swim up bar, beach, and canopy walkway. We were greeted with refreshing welcome drinks and a choice of both pillow type and room scent. The room was quite spacious, nicely decorated, and the balcony was a joy to relax on. When lounging by the pool and on the beach, I appreciated the variety of furniture and fact that it was almost all available to all guests. On later walks down the beach we were regularly solicited to rent an umbrella or beach chairs which I kindly said “no gracias” to knowing we had the option of a swinging bed, curtained day bed, beach chairs, pool chairs, and more just a couple hundred feet away on a more secluded and pristine section of the beach. The drinks, bar snacks, and food were all very reasonably priced, so much so that we checked the bill to double check they didn’t miss anything. While the only meal we had at the hotel was breakfast, it was my favorite breakfast all trip and we even caught sight of a fin of a whale as it was being served. To give a better sense of the location, the hotel was about a quarter mile from the promenade of old town which led over the river to Zona Romantica - the two locations everyone said we must see in our stay. On a larger scale, the hotel is nestled just where the mountains begin to get closer to the beaches of Puerto Vallarta which lends itself to spectacular scenery. To top it all off, the staff all went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we could ever need. Isidro was the lovely butler who manned the front desk and gave us a thorough tour of our room. Tammy provided a detailed introductory walkthrough of the hotel grounds and Dario accommodated all our needs with check-in. At breakfast the team of Jorge, Edgar, Erika, Dania, Raquel, Julio and Alex thought of every detail from presentation to a surprise dessert dish. I will be recommending Villa Premiere Boutique Hotel & Romantic Getaway to any friend or family member I know looking to treat themselves to a lavish stay in Puerto Vallarta.

We have spent a week in early January for the last two years here. The staff is pleasant, helpful and full of respect; they are eager to serve you with your stay. The food is is very well done and the drinks are not water downed like at other resorts. It is a quiet easy going place that very well located at the north end of the Malaccan. It is nice to be able to go to a place that really caters to the guest. Another good thing is that it is quite quiet in the evenings and mornings it tends to have a more mature crowd. The rooms are clean and other a fantastic view of the bay we have seen lots of whales, dolphins and birds form the room balcony. The location is perfect for walking to and from the great places in the old part of town. The beach is not great but just ok. My only issue is that at check in they really try to talk you in to the time share stuff it was very annoying.

Villa Premier is an outstanding adults only resort in Puerto Vallarta within a short five minute walk to the Malecon. From the moment we arrive we are greeted with a friendly welcome from every staff member and a beautiful ambiance! In this time, cleanliness is of the utmost importance and the staff were always making sure everything was extremely clean throughout our eight night stay. You’ll enjoy their delicious dining options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The swim up pool bar was always a delight with exceptional service. We especially enjoyed the more intimate boutique feel of the resort. By day two almost every staff member knew our names and were more than happy to ask if they could doing anything better to make our stay more enjoyable.
As premium members of a large hotel family we tend to expect a certain standard. Villa Premier far exceeded our expectations and we are definitely returning for that wonderful experience they provide. Thank you Isabel, Loreana, Meg, Tammy, Enrique, Aurealeo, Caesar, Alexsis, Edgar, Javier, Jorge, Angie, Alicia and many more wonderful people who work so hard to ensure the guest experience is exceptional!

We enjoyed the 5 course gourmet Mexican dinner and it was absolutely wonderful.. I believe it was 65.00USD per person but did not disappoint! Restaurant prices are are similar to what you’d pay in a 4 star+ restaurant.
