We stayed at Las Palmas for 2.5 months and loved every minute of our stay. Complex is located right in the marina with shop and restaurants just a short walk away. Costco, Chaudrai are a short drive. Beach is accessible through public walkway.

I rented a nice 2 bed condo on 2nd floor and was very impressed by the care and help the staff provided during my 6 month stay. The location is super nice and convenient as the Marina has a lot to offer in a nice community sort of setting. Great food, bars, and shopping on nice sidewalks vs downtown cobble. The marina has it's busy times as well and a bit noisy with bar music, sporting events and live bands on Weds night atop the Faro...but it is always back to peace & quiet by midnight.Marina is a big expats area but is nicely mixed with the locals that are very welcoming and helpful.
The team at Las Palmas 2 are great about fixing things and helping the guests feel at home, and even provided water bottle delivery. Its always proper to tip for favors as they try to make a living and certainly go out of their way to make us gringos feel welcome. I loved the pool and grounds are well cared for as things are spotless. Things come up, and be sure to remember you're in Mexico, so don't be in a hurry, there's always manana if not semena in some cases. Trust me, Nadia is great in assuring guests/owners are taken care of, and she speaks great English for those of us with little skills in espanol, but we try.
In any case, these condos are well managed and is a great location although it's not on the beach, one block away to beach if you can find a property to access, There are many charters and rental shops to choose from but I really enjoyed the variety of food to choose from and so many great people. I feel blessed to have been a part of the neighborhood last winter, and will always find my way back to Marina Vallarta and visit my Marina familia, Be kind to the cats, they may be wild but at least earn their keep and the rodents away.

We came here with our boat and were warmly welcomed. Unfortunately there was a swell standing in and the first night was quite uncomfortable but then, as the swell eased off it was nice to stay. Explore the town from here on foot on days where there is no cruise ship in town.

Spent last winter in a 2bdrm condo in Marina Las Palmas II.. The unit was spacious, had a very large balcony with an amazing view on the marina. Plenty of restaurants all around and a 20 minute walk to Mega store. Our main complaint was the noise and loud music from the sports bar around the corner. In the evenings, we had to close all doors and windows in order to listen to TV and even go to sleep as the noise lasted anywhere between 11:30 to 1 AM

Room Tip: The beach in the Marina is not really accessible unless you buy a day pass from one of the hotels
