For what we paid, I would absolutely book here again. This hotel has so much going on for it, but is lacking in a few key areas.

Million dollar views, but an Uber (cheap) into town is needed for anything which would get old quick.

No restaurant other than the grand Miramar next door- microwave & fridge in the suite but no coffee maker.

This place makes me want to buy the hotel and make it great again- with these views, it just needs a little pick me up and it could be a $300/night place.

There's no resort or spa here. It's simply a motel in the hills. The garden room that I stayed in is very basic and dated and badly needs a new mattress on the bed. I would not stay in this room again. If I were to come back I would consider an ocean view room if the price were right. The staff were very accommodating. Awesome to deal with. 100 peso cab ride into town up and down. Very steep cobblestone streets so not walkable to beach or town, but nice to be away from the hustling and bustle of the city. It is quiet at night from 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. and very very safe at this motel

The personal was super friendly, the room was huge and had an amazing view! It had a coffee machine and kitchen, a balcony, tv, etc... everything you need... The only details I must say is that the badroom door didn't lock and it was open on the top and the floor,,, but apart of that everything was great!

Looks like no maintenance took place over the years.Dirty utensils in dishwasher. Dirty glasses. No dish towels or dish soap. Looks like someone took a nap in the middle of the bed. Volume doesn’t work on TV master bedroom. Sink spout ready to fall apart, locks to secure belongings don’t work in bedroom, deadbolt on front door barely works. Bathroom toilet hinges installed backwards. Can open the door half way to squeeze thru. Nothing plugged in.. REALLY!! I’m afraid to ask for another room. Only plus is the view and you can get that in the neighborhood!! I’m checking out and requesting a refund! Now I understand the other guests 1 star. You can’t leave a ZERO ⭐️

Our 2-night stay at Mondavi Resort turned into a 4-night stay, which turned into a 7-night stay, so I can unequivocally say, I recommend this place 100%.
There are only 10 waterfront suites available of various configurations, and one mountain view room (not recommended) so you really get the feeling you’re in a private condominium.
Each unit has everything you need, including kitchenette: toaster, coffee maker, fridge, and more. All are air conditioned and feature a large walk-out balcony. The sunrise and sunsets are spectacular, and photos cannot truly capture their magnificence.
Wi-Fi is excellent, TV channels are numerous (#152 is no-commercials music videos) and the roof-top infinity pool and hot tub are beyond reproach.
Sergio, the amazing manager who is an exceptional person and speaks perfect English, manages a team that will see to any problem or request you have. They include Roberto on the reception, Humberto the maintenance guy, and Viri the housekeeper.
Remember, you are at the top of the Sierra Madre Mountain, and there are no stores available. But it’s only a 20-minute walk down the hill to catch a $10-Peso bus into downtown for sightseeing, a meal and food/drink supplies, and then a $100-Peso taxi back up. If you are thinking of staying at the Mondavi Resort, just book it, you won’t regret it!

The resort does have a beautiful view, however they run a timeshare scam out of their property. We were there for a presentation and took a short tour of the property Rooms were very nice but elevators were extremely small for travelers with luggage. But the worse part is they sell a timeshare that does not even exist, and now I am out a lot of money. The web site is fake as a the timeshare does not exist. Im not sure if they are connected to Mondavi, but they run their scam from their property. They treated us to a simple breakfast in their tiny kitchen and then asked us to leave the tip. When my bank statement came, it showed the money I paid went to a jewelry store instead of the fake timeshare.. Whatever you do, do not attend their time share,

This is a small boutique resort in the Cochas Chinas area of Puerto Vallarta. Its off the beaten path, about 600 feet in elevation, with an amazing view of the bay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit and it was fantastic. The kitchen was top-notch, the bedroom was a destination in itself and the balcony was huge with its own hot tub.

This is a very small resort, so the staff was soooo attentive. There is a roof top pool, that on many days we were the only guests using it. There is also a roof top restaurant called "Breathtaking." The food was excellent, the service superb, price was fair and the view was breathtaking. A nice touch was they let us bring our own wine.

There is a sister resort down the road that does offer all-inclusive there if you want to do that. We have done that in the past and the food, service and value were great.

If you want to spend a nice quiet week in PV, this is the place to do it. They will take you downtown for free...7 minutes away, but you have to take a cab back, about $5.

We are going back over Christmas for 2 weeks, can't wait.

I lucked out and got into a studio here as a Groupon deal. Everything here is top notch. The rooms are beautifully decorated and have a balcony that looks out over the ocean. The view is amazing and the sunsets are spectacular. The staff were all very helpful and did everything they could to make my stay comfortable and enjoyable.

The Mondavi is a Gorgeous Resort located in the Beverly Hills of Puerto Vallarta! The Studio with Terrace is perfect for a couple. This suite is huge with a microwave, small fridge, sink and dishes and dining table. Plus extra chairs and table on the terrace.

This Villa is located on top on Cochas Chinas.. If you are into beautiful sunsets and shooting stars, you will adore Mondavi. I have not slept this good for a long time.
However if you need something a bit more upbeat, for 50 pesos you can take an Uber to the Romantic Zone.

The infinity pool, hot tub and deck are located on the 7th floor, with more glorious views!

I would like to be picked up at the airport this Saturday. Is this a service that is provided?
Answer from Laurel T

Mondavi did not directly provide airport pickup, they provided the name and number of their suggested car service, Mary's superior service, which I used and was very happy with the rates and service since I wanted to stop at a grocery store on the way to stock up the kitchen upon arrival.
