My boyfriend and I spent 7 days here and we had a wonderful time!! The service was excellent! Room service food came in a timely manner (approx 30 minutes or so) and was always hot. Buggie service always arrived quickly after requested. Housekeeping came to service our room twice a day religiously and when it was time for Covid testing, a lab employee was sent to our villa to perform the test on us both. The food was tasty and well seasoned. I ordered the french toast and blue corn quesadillas at breakfast 3 times. As for the villa, the hillside views are amazing!! Our private pool was a great size and can be heated upon request. The outdoor deck space has a couch, a table with 2 chairs for dining and 2 sun loungers and an umbrella. Inside the villa, the double vanity, adequate counter space and amenity kits were nice. We would have loved to see an outdoor shower as we love those. The one negative of staying here was the MOSQUITOS!!! They prevented us from fully enjoying our private outdoor space because they are very aggressive!! I felt like I was being attacked and we went through several bottles of bug repellent. I suggest bringing along extra strength mosquito repellent as the hotel does provide it if you ask but it’s the weak stuff. We requested that someone come and fog/ spray the bushes/ trees outside our villa and they came, but that only helped for a couple of hours and then the mosquitos were right back at it. We ended up spending time at the two public pools as the mosquitos were no were near as bad in the public areas. But besides the mosquito issue, we loved it here and would definitely recommend it for a quiet romantic getaway. Just make sure you come armed with plenty of anti-mosquito gear to fight a good fight.

All the personnel are really nice and always willing to please you. Buggies ready when you needed them. Salvador was great at La NAo, so was Andres our driver. Even though the villas are really nice, with a private and nice pool, The housekeeping service leaves a lot to be desired. More towels in the bathroom as one takes a shower more than once a day, and replenish amenities, plus better attention to items as leave glasses as one needs them. I already talked to a very nice lady at check out, so I think this will be solved. Also the Nao restaurant could improve, and have in stock all the wines shown in the menu. Do remember that if you do not have a car, you will need a taxi to move around outside the complex, as it is not so near the shops, Acapulco or another beach. However our experience was nice, but some improvements could make this place a paradise, it has all the potential.

From the minute you step into the property you start to get in a Zen mood, the views at the Lobby are just breathtaking while you sip on the ginger shot welcome amenity. We had the pleasure and honor to be greeted and welcomed by the GM José Portocarrero.

We were right away driven on Club Cars to our Villas by Bellman Jacson who graciously showed us around the property and explained to detail the culinary and spa offerings. Once we enter the Villa everyone was speechless on how gorgeous and luxurious it is, and of course the best views from Acapulco, they are just unmatchable.

We were celebrating the Birthday of one of our friends, and we had the greatest time enjoyed the sunny days and cool afternoon breeze on the heated to request private pools. My wife and I took the opportunity to spend some romantic time for ourselves and enjoy the wonderful amenities our villa offered, from the morning espresso at the terrace to the wellness features like the silky bath robes, aromatherapy, bath salts and even the slippers were super comfy. The F&B staff and the Cuisine is world-class by Executive Chef Manuel every morning we were greeted by Karla the breakfast supervisor and Refugio just hit the spot with the selection he offered "la sencación del día" he said, a full, healthy and hearty breakfast at La Nao. Sunset drinks are the terrace overlooking the zen-infinity pool should be on your bucket list.

We tried both Las Rocas and In-Villa Dining, and they were excellent and timeliness. Yet the culinary highlight was our friend's birthday dinner at Saffron where the Thai Chef de Cuisine took us on a journey of flavors and textures, our favorites were the dumplings, the shrimp pad thai and mostly the chicken green curry (order it spicy!). Drinks, wine selection and service were amazing as well.

I want to congratulate and highlight the commitment to health and safety all the staff has, every one uses consistently the face mask and all areas are sanitized constantly, we all felt very safe throughout our stay.

We will be coming back soon, whether is a family trip with our 11 & 7 yo's or a much deserved "unplugged" weekend for just the two of us.

Muchas gracias!

My husband and I decided to book an ocean front villa for our anniversary to make it truly special. The booking representative assured me that this was definitely the way to go, since the ocean view villa (which is cheaper than the ocean front one) only had a partial view of the ocean and the sunset. On arrival though, our ocean front villa had only partial view of the ocean/sunset, actually the exact same view as the pictures they have online of their ocean view room. They did switch us to a full ocean front room, with an amazing view, but I would recommend making sure you’re getting the view you are paying for to avoid wasting time and/or money. Nonetheless, the staff is very friendly and kind.

Expect zero transparency regarding room pricing. We asked to stay another night (a Thursday night) and were given a 200 USD higher quote than the other nights because ‘the rate is higher for the weekend and for us the weekend starts on Wednesday’. Also no two nights had the same price on the final bill because ‘the nightly rate changes according to occupancy’.

We asked for information in the golf course as advertised in their webpage but it turns out there is no special rates or any kind of agreement with any golf course. We also asked for information on renting a yacht which we never got.

I was also a bit skeptical of their sustainability and zero plastic policy. Small plastic water bottles were available in the room, even though a larger bottle was available (for a very high price) in the mini bar creating a lot of unnecessary plastic trash. Also a big can of insecticide was provided. Not very environmentally friendly, in my opinion. There is also a bad sewage smell aroud midday, made me wonder about their sewage diaposal/tratment system.

Out anniversary was never even acknowledged, by the way, even though I communicated it to both the booking agent and the lobby staff.

The beautiful view and location make you forget you are not getting anything special service-wise. Definitely nothing close to a 5 diamond experience. I don’t regret staying there but would definitely not go back.

This was our first trip since the pandemic began, we had a week, and we wanted to relax. Of the many options available, we decided on this hotel as it was rated well and was my wife’s home town. We were not disappointed, this hotel was a sanctuary as advertised and had everything we wanted in our vacation. The rooms are very spacious with all the amenities one could ask for, each villa has its own pool and most have a view to keep one starring at for hours.
Not all rooms have the open ocean view, but, we wanted that so we could gaze at the most amazing sunsets you will ever see, cost a bit more, but worth every penny. Our room was 410 and the view was exactly what we wanted.
The service in the hotel was outstanding, each and every staff member went out of their way to make your stay over the top. We do want to give a special recognition to the pool attendant, Rogelio was nothing other then amazing, he had that pool area in tip top shape all day long.
He made sure that we didn’t have to leave the chez lounge, and anticipated every thing we wanted or needed. We have travelled to many places and Rogelio was unique, he loved his job, spoke highly of the hotel, coworkers, amenities, guests etc... just an overall outstanding person. Well done Rogelio, you really made our stay memorable my brother.
Also, Victoria, she also was an amazing person who went out of her way to please, she even sent us some chocolate covered strawberries which was a nice touch on her behalf. Her service around the pool was spot on and she also loved what she does.
The only small detail that this place could improve on, was the room service food. The few times we ordered, it was not really what was represented by the rest of the hotel, but definitely not a deterrent and did not disappoint our stay in the slightest.
All in all, our experience was stellar, and we will for sure return here. If your look for a place to relax and be away from the main hotel zone of Acapulco, this place is right up your alley.

My fiancé and I were looking for a special place to have our wedding at. So we reached out and inquired about venue fees, room blockings with special rates, menus, etc. From the very first contact, Elena was an absolute rockstar. She always replied quickly and with a cheery disposition, she addressed every single question we had, she conveyed joy and warmth. We planned to stay at the hotel in order to tour the venues and we were blown away by their attention to detail, by the beauty of the place and just how perfect everything is. They went out of their way to make us feel special and pampered us like crazy. The General Manager came by several times to say hi and to ensure that everything was going well. The place is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. On our first night we had a hiccup with the AC and they upgraded us to the room of our dreams. We didn’t want to leave! The food was EXCELLENT, down to the house made marmalades. Elena was there every single step of the way, greeting us, checking in with us and just making sure the everything was perfect. We fell in love with Banyan and even if it was an incredibly tough choice, if we had decided to have our wedding in Acapulco, there’s really no other place we would have had it at. We will most definitely be returning there and if anyone ever asks for a wedding venue recommendation in Acapulco, Banyan and Elena will always be #1! Thank you for everything!

We just spent 5 days at the resort and the views are gorgeous and the service is impeccable!

We stayed in room 409 (ocean front) which had great panoramic views while being private. The room itself was great with a large comfortable king bed and a day bed to lounge in. The bathroom had a large tub (fits two) and a nice rainfall shower. The temperature of the room could be colder but given the large windows, we couldn’t achieve it. I am not sure if they can have a stronger AC.

The service is amazing! I called many times for many things and it was always a pleasure and people were VERY helpful!! We had absolutely no complaints from the hospitality!

We had issues with an animal coming on our deck and the animal control came instantly. We called for lack of hot water in the shower and it was fixed right away. The house keeping was thorough and they got us ice buckets every time we requested. My one tip is to get wine/beer/champagne with you to enjoy in the room. We saved some money while enjoying the pool. We also got a mini speaker and enjoyed the pool a lot with music of our choice!

Food is good, though maybe slightly over priced but that’s the price of staying here. La Rocas a d La Nao are good options but the weather during lunch is really hot and we couldn’t enjoy the food as much. Saffron is a must try and had beautiful sunsets! I only wish their in - villa dining had more options because we had such a beautiful view and ate in most of the days. By the end of 5 days were tired of the same 5 dishes!

One issue was mosquitos and even though we got the area fumigated a few times during our stay, our body is full of bites! Maybe another season might be better but be prepared to wear lots of repellant and still being bit. We couldn’t use the outdoor area much other than being in the water due to the mosquitos but I am not sure the property can do much about it. It’s a risk we are willing to take for the beautiful pool and the views.

I will definitely be coming back here and will really miss my time in the pool!!!

My husband and I started our honeymoon at the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques. It was the most unbelievable experience. We rented an ocean front villa overlooking the pacific ocean. We watched local fishermen and whales from our plunge pool. The sunsets were out of this world, especially from the main infinity pool. While the property itself is an oasis, it is quiet and absolutely beautiful. What made our stay even more incredible was the people who worked there. Every single person was kind, friendly and delivering five star service every step of the way. Luis Alberto, Jorge and Jair were the best bell boys and buggy drivers, giving us tips on how to best enjoy the property and always on top of their game. Luis even arranged a cake for my husband on his birthday. The spa is outstanding with your own private bungalow for a spa treatment, I highly recommend Ms. Rachel for a Thai Massage. The food and restaurants on this property are incredible. They provide such a range of options and diversity that we never had to leave. We experienced room service, La Nao and Saffron multiple times and it is some of the best food we've ever had. Gibran was our waiter at Las Rocas for a private dinner on the coast. His level of service was beyond anything i've ever experienced. He served us the following night at Saffron and again was exceptional. I can't forget to mention the gentlemen at the pool and La Noa, their attention to detail and level of service to ensure you had a drink in your hand for sunset met our every need. Every staff member is extremely covid conscious, spraying their own hands with sanitizer before touching your belongings. I've never felt more safe during the pandemic. I highly recommend, what I'd call this hidden gem. It is a place worth visiting and will be an experience you'll never forget.

This property is fantastic. The setting is simply amazing. All the other reviews are accurate. There are amazing properties in Acapulco but this one has to be at the top. The sunsets by the pool are just breath taking and service is very good. However; if you are looking for a true 5 Diamond experience this hotel falls short and it is evident that it has seen better days and it is in need of some repairs and renovations.

Maintaining a villa that is perched off a cliff over the ocean must be a challenge. In our villa all of the metal railings were rusted. They were painted but rusted. Stone tiles from a corner of the villa and the pool were missing. The wood deck had boards that needed repair. With so much nature around the villa; mosquitoes will have a field day with you as you sun bathe. Not much the hotel can do about this. As you walk or are driven to your villa you can see some of the plumbing and water heaters that feed the villas. The magic is lost a little bit.

Once inside the villa, the door to the bedroom needs a key and it is easy to be locked out of your bedroom. In the bathroom, wall tiles were cracked, tile joints were open and there is not enough space for your own toiletries. Power outlets work on and off; the mini bar offerings are poor and the outdoor shower does not provide hot water.

The furniture and decor at the restaurants feels old and needs upgrading. And there is no music in the gym. The gym equipment is in good condition.

The villas are not 100% private since the vegetation is not lush enough to fully protect the pool and deck areas from outside views.

The main problem with this hotel is that despite all of these small imperfections the beauty of the natural setting combined with the friendly service almost make you not care about it not being perfect. And the brand should feel perfect.

In the end, we had a wonderful time and we would definitely come and experience the beauty of the mexican Pacific coast at the Banyan Tree Cabo Marques again. We just hope that some needed upgrades take place by then.
